Buffalo Bills Consensus Draft Grades
Wizard replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
For Doc Brown: The Bills did not get a true vertical threat in the draft! I see this as a problem now and in September. -
Ashton Jeanty of the Raiders. No one from the Bills on Defense. I will happily settle with Hairston as a starter and Sanders, Jackson as frequent rotation players, and one other guy as a solid bench guy (Strong, Hancock, or Walker).

Buffalo Bills Consensus Draft Grades

Merge...see same topic by Victory Formation. -
I am not denying he is more athletic than 90% of the US population. Will respectfully disagree on a great athlete right now. Pretty easy to be a good pickup basketball player when you weigh as much as Shaquille O'Neal and playing against other guys 100 lbs lighter and 5 inches shorter in those playground games. As far as playing DE in some cases, we are talking about Kentucky football and not playing Kentucky basketball competition. Not sure about his conditioning being helped. If there are real back issues at 20 years old that is a degenerative issue or a conditioning issue. Let's give it a year and we will see. Like I said, I hope I am wrong.

I can agree with almost everything. Good thoughts. I would say that Walker is an unusually large young man, but I do not think in any way at this point one could call him a great athlete. I see him redshirting this year. Hopefully a season with the medical staff, strengths coach, nutritionist, and solid line coaching, he can become a solid starting 1T.

Buffalo Bills Consensus Draft Grades

Initial Reaction Grades Note: My grades reflect my initial reaction based on what I thought the needs of the team, value of pick (including if it was a trade up and the cost), potential making the roster, improving that particular position, and who else may have been available Hairston B+/A- TJ Sanders C-C+ Jackson B+/A- Walker C/C+ Hancock B/B+ Hawes C-/C Strong B+/A- Lundt C-/C Prather C+/B- I think Hairston, Sanders, and Jackson all have potential. I think the price for Sanders was just too high. I think he will be good. I would've preferred a highly rated 1T in the 2nd. Walker is a project. Needs to lose about 40-50 lbs and put on 20 lbs of muscle by September to be more than #50-#53 on the roster. The right position. A bigger guy that we need. I hope I am wrong about him. Hancock and Strong I think are solid depth, and I can see one of them becoming an above average starter. Hawes, Lundt, and Prather are projects, but this is to be expected. -
I think the OP may believe that Shenault or someone else will be the primary returner. I would keep Codrington and have Dane Jackson instead of Hamlin and project Lundt to PS on this initial projection.

No major disagreement on this list. The goal is to raise both the ceiling and have a high floor. Theoretically, the Bills have done that in most areas. I see the classic Beane move of trading maybe an OL, DL, or CB for a late day 3 pick for 2026 after or around camp. Doubt we can do it, but I would like to see an upgrade at WR in a trade and a better LB for depth somehow as the result of some salary relief with a post June 1 cut or something like that.

He is faster than Coleman!

Bills 6th Round Pick (#1) : Dorian Strong - CB - VA Tech
Wizard replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like this pick. Not sure we need 3 corners, unless as stated, they view Hancock only as a safety. Good pick. Bills had him visit. Bottom line is that Hamlin is replaceable and Jackson and White are not on the team in 2026. Still not sure why we hated the idea of drafting possibly Jaylen Royals, Horton, or any WR. -
Bills 5th Round Pick (#2) : Jackson Hawes - TE - Georgia Tech
Wizard replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
No doubt that Beane was wanting his "Pooh" Paul who went the pick before. The undersized LB. Beane instead crapped his pants on a guy I am not sure even played college football, but, hey, he went to Yale. He will make the PS as a film study analyst! -
Bills 5th Round Pick (#2) : Jackson Hawes - TE - Georgia Tech

The question is...does he have intangibles and does he wrestle? That is all that matters! -

Using Reverse Psychology, I am requesting that the Bills draft Arian Smith. Fast guys that can't catch are exactly what this team needs. Please (reverse psychology) draft him!

Bills 3rd Rnd pick in 2025 Draft : Landon Jackson - DE - Arkansas
Wizard replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Value and Need for this pick.🙂 That is why I am still screaming when we gave up a lot of value and picked a DT who is good but does not fill a Need.😠 -
Well, 1/2 is not bad. Just do not like all we gave up to get a 3 Technique when we already have that.

Derrick Harmon’s mother passes away after draft
Wizard replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was one of the five (5) guys I was hoping Bills would get with their pick at 30. 1. Grant 2. Harmon 3. Golden 4. Embuka 5. Amos Good football player, great character, and an emotional story. Thoughts to him and his family. Steelers getting a solid player.
