  1. The Bills really just took care of business against the Texans. The only minor complaint is that the Bills offense did have some redzone struggles but they completely closed the door in the second half and consistently moved the ball all game. The defense put on one of the best performances you will see and the special teams was solid. Even the backups played well when they got plenty of garbage time. They pile up to 3-1 going into a tough two game stretch. Hopefully they can get past KC and really establish that they can beat a quality team and not just beat up on the mid level or lower teams.
  2. I would imagine almost everyone on the defense graded out fantastic. I can't think of a single player that didn't have a productive game on the defensive side of the ball.
  3. It is a lot of pressure to have Belichick as your father. I would be pissed if I were McDaniels and I didn't get the job after Belichick retires.
  4. If Billy B was my dad I probably wouldn't end up well adjusted. Honestly these kids of coaches must really not see their dads a lot. From late July to January/February or about 6ish months out of the year they are nowhere to be found as they are working 16+ hour days and then even in the off-season they have weeks/months at a time where they working heavy hours (drafting, free agency, mini-camps and other off-season events) so even in the 6 months of the year where it isn't football season you hardly see your dad. Don't get me wrong it comes with other benefits but it certainly can be difficult too.
  5. KC is still a dangerous team and in my opinion the biggest threat in the AFC. KC is 2-2 while not tragic not exactly the record you expect from a contending team. But their two losses were both in close games to a very good Ravens team and a good Chargers team. That's not exactly a bad resume of losses. In my opinion if the Bills want to get the lone bye week in the AFC (which is such a huge advantage) they need to win this game. It would bury KC effectively 3 games behind the Bills as they would be 2 games back in the loss column and lose the tie breaker. Mentally I think beating KC would also be a very advantageous for the Bills. With an away game in KC we will know exactly where the Bills stand in terms of how good they are. They have beaten up on 3 bad to average teams. Let's see exactly how they handle a true contender on the road.
  6. Any regime will have busts. Oliver, Knox and Singletary coming out of that class is pretty solid. Typically you want to keep getting at least 2-3 starters each draft. Ideally 4 plus a role player or two but if you keep finding multiple starters you will sustain success. I think they either trade Ford for a late round pick in camp or simply keep him as a backup in 2022. It's not what you want from a high second round pick but the regime will survive it.
  7. It is fair to say that Ford will likely be a bust. I was very hopeful for Ford entering in this season. I though in 2019 he was bad early but played solid to end the season at RT. Due to how good D.Williams was last season I thought it was logical to kick him inside and hopefully improve the guard play. Ford was OK at guard in 2020 but then he got hurt. Then in 2021 he has just looked abysmal at guard. He had the whole off-season to play at guard and get used to the role and he somehow looked worse at guard this season. Just disappointing to see as he could have really solidified the line. Luckily Spencer Brown looks like a beast and they can kick D.Williams inside to help the guard play. I can see them trading him for a late round pick or just brining him back as a backup for 2022. McBeane values depth along the lines and they drafted him in a premium spot and have at times gotten decent play out of him (his ending to his 2019 season and his 2020 stint at guard in my opinion were pretty decent) it would not shock me it they have him be a guard/tackle combo as a backup in 2022 if a trade doesn't materialize.
  8. Cards are a “good” team. Definitely will be in the mix in the NFC. Are they better than Tampa and Green Bay? Possibly but right now I would say no.
  9. Bills will need to put up 28+ points at a minimum. Both games against KC last year the offense ***** the bed. Got to force them to win a shootout.
  10. The RB’s may not be elite but they get the job done. Both are solid pass catchers and both can pass block. As far as runners they both bring something to the table, it helps that they complement each other well. I am hoping Spencer Brown at RT and Williams kicking inside will help the Oline and ground game.
  11. KC is still a beast. They have tremendous top line elite talent. Their two losses were nail biters to a dam good Ravens team and a good Chargers team. The Bills will really see where they stand going into KC.
  12. Problem with NFL games is that the crews are so unfamiliar with each team because they bounce around the league with each game. They don’t get a chance to properly understand the teams because the week after they are preparing for a completely different game. Compared to NBA, MLB and NHL announcers who watch so much more and commentate more consistently especially local announcers who just watch the same team.
  13. I thought he was solid at guard, I would put Mongo and Williams as the guards. Keep Ike in reserve.
  14. Edumonds for some reason seems to be the popular pile on. But with Knox improving and Ford benched most likely I can see the Edumonds hate train running hard.
  15. They also know how to scout it seems like.
  16. Just an all around great game. The only nitpicks are the offenses inability to score in the red zone. Other than that it was a fantastic game. Defense was outright dominant, offense consistently moved the ball and scored when they had to shut the door, and the special teams unit was solid all around. They needed to pile up a win going into KC and they did just that. Game balls all around it seems like.
  17. Yup, I have been someone who held out a long time for Ford. I thought he started 2019 shaky but came up strong towards the end of the season. In 2020 when he was kicked inside I thought he was decent then he got hurt. I figured he could pan out as a decent guard. But thus far in 2021 he has been awful. I think he hangs around this season and next as depth but he is not part of the line long term it looks like.
  18. I don’t see any team trading for him with all these allegations up in the air and so many legal issues. I think teams are working on frameworks for deals once the legal situation is settled and not actionable deals before hand.
  19. As bad as Jacksonville is, they still pop up with a decent season now and again. They had an amazing start to a franchise with 4 out of their first 5 seasons being winning seasons and 4 playoff wins including two conference championship appearances. Then from 2004-2007 they had winning record or .500 record with a pair of playoff appearances and a playoff win. And although from 2008-2016 they had a real bad run they at least had a fine season in 2017 with the run to the AFCCG. Since their inception in 1995 the Jags have won 7 playoff games and made the conference finals 3 times. Whereas the Lions since 1970 have won one playoff game.
  20. PI is a tough call for the refs as it is inherently subjective and every ref and fan interprets the rule differently. I would say that it is good that it is challengeable call but it hardly gets overturned due to the massive burden of proof needed to overturn it. Overall I think PI is just one of those subjective calls that everyone will hate for as long as humans ref the game of football.
  21. AEW is generating a lot of positive buzz and they are easily the biggest non-WWE promotion since WCW. The large influx of ex-WWE talent and the semi-mainstream momentum is really starting to get AEW from nice second promotion to really pushing themselves to push WWE for the top spot in the coming year. WWE will be fine. They have a loyal audience, TV deals locked in for multiple years, a billion dollar war-chest of cash reserves and a lot of other advantages. But AEW can make a lot of noise in the industry. It is probably one of the better times to be a wrestling fan with two top promotions going again for the first time in over 20 years.
  22. Sanders thus far has been what John Brown was last year when healthy. Hopefully Sanders unlike Brown will stay healthy and continue to provide that speed and field stretching ability that complements Diggs as the number one and Beasley as the slot machine.
  23. I think Brown will only start if there is an injury at a tackle position. I think if Ford is deemed by the coaching staff to struggle they toss Ike in. I don't know why people sleep on Ike, I thought the O-line played best last season when it was Dawkins-Ike-Mitch-Mongo-Williams. Ike didn't light the world on fire but he was solid and was far from a weak link. I tend to trust this coaching staff and their analysis of players so if they feel Ford is decent enough or will find his footing I am OK with him being there. But I am curious if they maybe play Ike there if Ford is deemed to be struggling.
  24. I don't think he gets signed by the Bills, I wouldn't be shocked if he signs with the Pats or KC.
  25. Star has definitely made a positive impact on the defense. He was missed in 2020 for sure. He also looks to be making more disruptive plays than he did in 2019 being leaner and faster. He is a component of the teams defensive improvement. Glad that he is back and performing well. He definitely plays a valuable role on the defense.
