  1. A trade down from 32 (hopefully) even just a few spots to pick up an early 4th and 7th would be nice.
  2. They have Moss and Singletary at RB both with 2-3 years left on dirt cheap contracts. They won't spend any significant resources on RB. They might take a late round flyer on a speed back for some depth but this team isn't spending a pick in the first three rounds to supplement a position they have two fairly good young players at. Odds are this team likely needs to spend their first three picks either getting younger at positions or replacing guys who leave in free agency.
  3. I don't see the team being emotionally drained. The Colts game was the pressure cooker, tough team, not the best matchup and the Bills had the pressure of losing at home and being 0-3 in the playoffs under McD. The Ravens game the team clearly played more loose and confident. I expect them to come through with that kind of loose style of play.
  4. I like the term, it is fun and not literal. I do hate the crashing through tables thing. It makes the fanbase look like white trash.
  5. It is shocking that the Bills success (playoffs 3 of the 4 seasons and this crazy run this season) has not resulted in much organizational poaching. Typically when a team comes off of 10 and 13 win seasons with a young monster QB some people get poached for other organizations. So to see the core of the front office and coaching staff coming back after a 13 win season that came off a 10 win season is amazing and a huge positive. Hopefully this team is able to retain most of the players.
  6. Looking around the league and right now I see compelling offers from Miami and the Jets. Miami can offer the most offering pick 3, 20, 35 and a future 1st and 3rd in 2022 and a future 2nd in 2023 along with additional mid-round selections. The Jets can offer pick 2, 23, 34 and a future 1st and 3rd and additional mid-round selections. I hear the 49ers mentioned a lot but I am not sure what they really have to offer. They can offer up pick 12 and a pick in the 40's along with Jimmy G and future 1st round picks. But I would rather have higher picks now and I am not really sold on Jimmy G as anything more than a fringe starter. I guess the 49ers could include Bosa, pick 12, their 2nd and 3rd rounders in 2021 and a 1st and 3rd in 2022. But that then leaves you in no mans land at QB. It will be interesting to see where Watson goes. I think they will want as large a haul as they could possibly get for him while also either landing a QB or landing a high enough draft pick to get a QB.
  7. I don't think the NFL or NFLPA is going to let the cap go down 20+ million. I think they will do what the NBA did and keep the cap flat but have the players put a portion of their salaries in escrow and have that portion of their salary with held or distributed based on the yearly revenues along with a possible league wide bonus if revenues exceed expectations wildly. I just don't see the players wanting it nor do I see owners and GMs wanting such a crunch. They aren't trading Taysom Hill who is their only QB on the roster assuming Brees retires. I also think the cap isn't going to be set at 175 million. I likely think they are going to set the cap at 195-205 million which would give the Saints (assuming they make all those moves minus trading Taysom Hill) about 22 million in space which should allow them to add their rookie pool and fill the remaining roster slots with cheaper players. I also think they might work with Michael Thomas's contract to free up a little more space. The Saints will be able to make these moves and take a step back as needed.
  8. It is a passing league in a lot of ways. The screen and short passing game can help replace a ground game. I do think that Daboll nearly cost this team the game not running when the wind was clearly a huge detriment to the passing game. But I am not surprised to see Daboll at the helm of a successful unbalanced passing attack.
  9. There were actually very few "big ticket" acquisitions in free agency or via trade from 2017 to 2020. Star, Addison and Mitch were big contracts but other than that the AAV of the contracts were pretty modest and we all know Diggs was a big trade acquisition. But other than that if you look at the aav of key players acquired you will see a very modest set of acquisitions. Very few 10 million aav big time signings. A lot of players brought in at the 5-9 million aav range.
  10. The Kahns seem to know how to run a professional wrestling promotion well but they never get the right GM/Coach/QB combo for some reason. And it isn't like they are cheap or meddling either. It might just be bad luck honestly.
  11. My main issue is that how dedicated is the ownership of the Jags, Jets and Chargers? I know the Jets are never afraid to spend money but the Jags and Chargers have been called cheap before. Also how willing is ownership to let a GM and coach combo go to work? The Jags are a coaches dream as they have a generational QB at the top of the draft and an extra 1st round selection on top of the massive amount of cap space. But is their ownership willing to spend? I have heard good things about the Kahn's but they never seem to get the right people to run their organization. Does that have anything to do with them or is it just bad luck?
  12. I think Daboll would have taken the Chargers job. They are in a decent spot. First they have a good young QB with 3 years and a option left on his rookie deal. They have a good WR corp and a solid RB along with pieces on defense. Their cap isn't in too bad of a shape either. They have some space and some fat they can cut or restructure on the roster. But thankfully he didn't get the job and he returns for one more year. I don't see it either but you have something to work with at QB. Their issues are cap problems short term and GM meddling long term.
  13. The Philly job is a bit more desirable in my opinion. Hurts is a decent young QB and they have their draft choices and while their cap is hell you could easily sell them on a 2 year rebuild of let's develop Hurts and get out of cap hell. The issue with Philly is that their GM appears to want a lot of control over the coaching staff.
  14. Mahomes is 100% playing, but how banged up will he be? A pinched nerve and a foot injury even if both are mild is going to impact him.
  15. Lamar didn't have a great game and he made the mistake that sent the team home. That happens in the playoffs and it is fine to bash him. But he did get a playoff win this season which I think gets some pressure off of him. The Ravens need to find him a true WR1. They have a good TE in Andrews and Hollywood Brown is a nice burner but the rest of that receiving corps is ass. They need to find at least one additional good WR if not two. Lamar can be dynamic at times and that ground game can be potent. But until they find a way to get better at a pure passing scheme they will never give themselves a shot on longer down and distances consistently against better defenses.
  16. Odds are if you are looking for a coach your team is at least somewhat in disorder. But I do agree they seem to be extra out of order despite the Eagles being a traditionally well run team and the Texans have a franchise QB.
  17. McBeane has done a great job all around finding talent with lesser resources. In 2019 he rebuilt the Oline with only one major free agency addition (Mitch) and one high draft pick (Ford who hasn't put it together yet). He got Spain and Mongo to be starting caliber guards on the cheap and signed Ty to a mid level deal to be a decent RT. McBeane in 2020 then found D.Willaims as the ultimate reclamation project at RT and developed Ike to handle Spain's duties once he imploded and Ford got hurt. If you look all around this roster you see a lot of great value findings. T.Johnson is a Nickel corner who was a 4th round pick, Levi Wallace was undradted and is starting opposite Tre, and Poyer was a complete out of nowhere lower mid-level signing at one of the safety positions. Finding guys who are lesser heralded and turning them into productive players is how you build a Super Bowl contender.
  18. Bills get an extra day of rest and preparation for KC. Hopefully that translates to having a better gameplan this time around.
  19. No matter what he is going to be banged up if he plays. Not only is he coming off a concussion but he also dinged his foot earlier in the game. He is still super dangerous banged up but hopefully just a little less so.
  20. A win this year would cement Josh as having the best season of all time in franchise history and it would really reward the legends from the 90's who stuck with the team. Thomas, Kelly, Bruce and most of the rest of the legends were always consistently showing up for this team in the drought years. They always tried to tell new draft picks and acquisitions how great the city was and how great the fans are even when the organization wasn't there. A SB win would be an insane destination for this team who entered into 2017 coming off a failed Rex experiment and in cap hell with no great plan at QB. I can't get too ahead of myself KC away is a tall order so let's just focus on that! Unfortunately no, for some reason pro-football history resets during the Super Bowl Era.
  21. You aren't getting any argument from me. That was insane to hear actual crowd noisie impacting a game this year. Just a sight to behold.
  22. The coach was also asked about that specifically and I honestly don't know what he was supposed to say. The wind did impact that game. Not only did both kickers miss kicks that they most likely would have normally made but the ball was hard to throw and I do think some of the Baltimore drops were the result of the ball moving in a weird way they aren't used to. I think the game was a fun odd ball game and the wind was the direct result of that. Playing in Buffalo in January is hard and part of the home field advantage is to know those winds and play better in them. No shame, plenty of places like Green Bay, Chicago, New Jersey (for two teams the Jets and Giants), Baltimore, Pittsburg, New England, Cleveland, Washington, KC, Denver and Philly all play outdoors in cold weather cities. That's 13 teams including Buffalo that play in those conditions or just about 40% of the league.
  23. You could hear it on the broadcast. I think putting all the fans in the lower bowl helps How do they handle ticketing for these games? Is it a lottery or season ticket holders getting priority? I couldn't go being out of town but I am just curious as to how they decide these things. Hopefully they let and another 3-6k in the upper bowl if the Browns win.
  24. Love this type of stuff. Hopefully this will be more what Bills fans are known for.
  25. McD the past 4 years has proven he was a good if not very good regular season coach. 2017 - He overachieves with a team that most likely was a 6-7 win team. Lucks into the playoffs but proves his process and game style works. 2018- He somehow gets 6 wins out of a team boasting a bad ST unit and the second worst offense in the league. 2019- 10 wins (could have been 11 if they didn't rest week 17) and development for Josh. Cements himself as not being a one hit wonder and gets a young team some playoff experience. 2020- 13 wins and a division title and one hail Murray away from a 14th win. Excellent season where the team had some issues early but turned it into full gear the second half of the year. But the questions coming out of the 2020 regular season was can McD win in the playoffs? He won against Indy in a squeaker but he still needed to prove that he can win consistently against elite competition. Against the Ravens his team proved that. Now we can see where this team and Josh stands against elite competition next week.
