In years past when it was third and long I would assume it would be a greater than 90% chance that the Bills would punt. With Josh in 2020 I was pretty confident the offense would have at least a solid 40% chance to keep the ball (not sure on the actual percentages of the teams third down success but that's just what it felt like to me). I almost never feel like the team is out on a possession.

My worst take of all time was thinking the Bills should have taken Rosen over Allen. Quickly talked myself into Allen within hours of the selection but completely bit into the "he will never be accurate" takes and all the analytics pre-draft.

The dudes brain is very damaged from football better he got out when he did and hopefully he stays out. In his prime dude was the best LB in the game, but his brain injuries are forcing him to stay in retirement.

Mongo was hurt out the gate with a long term injury and then they shuffled around with the Spain situation some more and Mitch got dinged up. Dawkins shouldn’t be a long term issue. Hoping the Bills get more continuity generally speaking on the Oline. Some shuffling is inevitable but last year it was excessive.

My mom is against the vaccine and is in her mid 60’s been begging her to take the vaccine and she refuses to and has given me no reason. Very frustrating.

A bit worried about Dawkins but there is still weeks before the opener, hopefully Brown or Ford can step in and get some reps in preseason at LT.

All pretty marginal moves no shockers.

I think Mongo being out last season and the constant shuffling at LG really hurt the ground game. This season with Mongo hopefully healthy and hopefully more continuity at LG I think the run blocking will be there much more consistently.

Texas is as far East as they go. I think their meat comes from Colorado so they are sourced around that state.

The reason In N Out is mostly in the West Coast is due to quality control as they don’t want to have their meat (which is supplied in the Western part of the USA) frozen for too long.

I think it is more of a side gig right? Still impressive but she is still being a full time NFLN host.

I knew things were going to change (in the sense that the team would compete better and likely make the playoffs with some regularity) when the Pegula's bought the team. The money was finally there to actually compete in the modern NFL. I don't want to ***** talk Ralph too much because without him the NFL/AFL merger wouldn't exist and neither would the Bills but he was an old school owner who ran the team not like a billionaire vanity project. And as the drought wore on the Bills who already play in a small market were more handicapped by the "cash to cap" philsophy of the team and the poor infrastructure (low paid coaches, bad facilities and generally speaking among the lower spenders in the league on non-player expenses during the drought) and it just seemed vastly insurmountable that the Bills could make the playoffs and even if they did it would be as a 9 win 6 seed in a down year for the conference. But once the Pegula's arrived I was really feeling hopeful. The spending spree in 2015 was something that I hadn't seen before. The closest came in 2012 when they signed Mario to his mega deal and brought in Mark Andrews on a decent deal along with resigning Stevie. But the 2015 spending spree was right out the box and building on top of a team that had just won 9 games. It was aggressive and something Ralph simply wouldn't have done. Now of course the two year Rex experiment didn't work for so many reasons but the Bills were operating like a modern team and the word of the investments being made outside the team was encouraging. Then came the hiring of McD. I liked the philsophy of the signing. Go for an up and coming coordinator and build the team more patiently. The Pegula's learned that the "quick fix" wasn't the right way to go. And the rest is history after that. But the Bills finally operating like a more modern NFL team under the Pegulas really made me feel hopeful things could actually change.

I can see the Bills drafting a LB up high to replace Edumonds. That's not to say I don't think Edumonds isn't a good player and a valuable piece to the defense. But this team has handed Josh Allen, White, Milano, D.Williams and Dawkins all big extensions and has Diggs on a sizable deal too. While there are some veteran players set to fall off the books in the next 1-2 years (Mitch, Butler, Sanders, Addison, Hughes and several other possibly) Josh's extension makes add another big 15ish million dollar aav contract to the books a bit harder to do. Hopefully they can keep him at a good rate but he might be the one that gets too rich for Beane.

I too think the defense will be better if the safety combo holds up for another season. I think Star has a positive impact in anchoring the ground game and keeping Edumonds and Milano clean. I think AJ and the young DE's help the edge rush as could Efe. I am not sure if the pass rush (which was ranked above average last season but not top 10) will be there to get this defense into the top 5 but I can see the run defense and pass rush improving moderately and getting the defense from 12 to around 7-8 which is a nice modest improvement.

It doesn't happen often but teams cut bait on players for various reasons. I was considering giving up a 3rd round pick for him but giving it some more thought I think a conditional 4th would be as high as I would go. His contract has been heavily paid for by the Jags due to them absorbing the signing bonus. And McD is a master of developing secondary players. They also could use Henderson as a dime back for one season as Levi can hold down the fort short term as he gets used to the system. It's a risk but one I could see the Bills taking and it paying off. Part of being a good organization is being able to take guys from other teams and develop them into productive players where they may not have elsewhere.

New coaching regimes sometimes get rid of recently drafted players on a discount just to get value for them before they completely flatline their value playing out of scheme or just not clicking with the coaching staff.

Wouldn't call CB2 a "weak link" on the defense. Certainly a place that could use an upgrade but not some sort of massive liability either. I think we underrate Levi on this board. He is a solid corner. But I wouldn't mind throwing a conditional third round pick at Henderson. A three year 7.4 million dollar deal for a CB who flashed good play inconsistently in his rookie year is a deal I would take on. I wouldn't give up a 2nd or 1st for him. The most I would do is a third that could escalate to a second if certain criteria is met.

Seems that way, can’t blame the Fins for really not giving up much to keep one of their best players happy. Howard got something but at least gets to say the organization values him.

Probably see a trade or two for late round picks. Part of the benefits of being a well run organization.

The front office has close to perfectly managed the cap in my opinion. That's not to say that the team hasn't made mistakes with signings and investments but overall they have done a good job of balancing future flexibility with maintaining a winning product now. The fact that this team was willing to do a lot of restructures this off-season shows to me that they are understanding of tight windows in the NFL but the smart contracts they signed to keep their talent and restock the lines via the draft shows me they know how to sustain a winner. Once Josh's deal fully kicks in things could get tight but that's something that good drafting will hopefully alleviate the Bills also have several veteran players like Hughes and Addision falling off the cap that could ease in things a bit. I am not worried about the cap just yet.

A solid deal for both sides. Josh gets the big bag and the big guarantee. The Bills while not getting a "favorable" deal did get a solid deal and now can build out their future knowing exactly what Josh's contract will be. The Bills also keep their franchise QB (God that feels good to say) in place for the foreseeable future.

The picks that ended up being Josh Allen were not involved in the Mahomes trade. The picks involved in the Josh Allen trade were the Bills own first round pick in 2018, Cordy Glenn (who was moved to Cincy to trade up from 21 to 12) and the Bills own 2nd round pick and the Bills 2nd round pick acquired from the Rams in the Sammy Watkins trade. The picks that the team got from the Mahomes trade became Edumonds and White and some of the picks used to trade up for Zay Jones and Dion Dawkins. White an All-Pro and Edumonds a good Pro-Bowl caliber player with still some room to grow is not a bad return but you can't say it was Josh Allen and White for Mahomes. That's just not accurate.

If this were regular season I would be worried but given that it is pre-season I really doubt they are going to be taking shots. Also the starters won't play much so in general it isn't too much to worry about.

I don't think Addison is "safe" at all. I think if Efe comes on strong in camp and Addison isn't showing up I don't necessarily know if they wouldn't cut Addison. Addison saves some cap space by being cut, not a whole lot but some. Butler I think is going to make the roster since it costs the team 600k above his cap number to cut him.

For whatever reason the Bills seemingly can find LT's rather easily in the past 15 years for some reason haha. I hope Dawkins comes back 100% by the time the regular season starts. He is so critical to the teams success.
