  1. If Mitch also gets a shot at a starting job next year the Bills will start to develop a reputation as a QB rehabilitation center and attract more reclamation projects who will make great cheap backups. It’s a great play both long and short term.
  2. I feel like Lawrence will have a Matt Ryan type career. A very good QB who flirts with being elite. Not saying they are the same kind of player but just that type of career trajectory. Which isn't a bad thing necessarily.
  3. I think that there will be a trade of a vet player for a late round pick and Addison makes sense but in the end I feel that McD’s weird loyalty to vets will come through and Addison stays. I think McD wants two dependable vets on that rotation.
  4. The best solution is to have 50% of the stadium paid for by a bond that will get repaid by revenue sources from the stadium over a period of time. That will long term not cost the city anything as their amount will be repaid to them with interest within 10-15 years of the stadium being built. Economically stadiums are bad “investments” for cities. Fronting the money and getting it on the back end is the best for all parties involved.
  5. Easily McD, a head coach is the CEO of the team and right now McD has proven he can be the CEO of a pro team whereas Daboll has yet to prove that he can manage an organization. I would trust this front office and McD to find a new OC once Daboll is gone. I don’t think up ending the team to keep an assistant over a successful HC is possible but even in the hypothetical sense I would still pick McD.
  6. I wonder how good of an investment a pro team actually is? Compared to just putting that money into an index fund and reinvestment of dividends? I know people have gotten big returns on franchises but I also know that it’s not always flipped for a big return either.
  7. It’s pre season chill...
  8. Give me Tyrod over Mitch but it is an interesting argument.-
  9. I guess my idea is that if you want this guy to be a positive locker room influence why not keep him around until final cuts? Is he no longer positive in the locker room? We’re there no other marginal players you could have cut instead? Just seemed odd.
  10. I get your point but they only had to cut 5 players, I have to think out of 90 man roster there are probably 10-15 players that are purely filler so it’s not like you couldn’t cut another marginal player?
  11. Surprised Tebow got cut so early. We all knew he wasn’t going to make the team but if his purpose is to be a positive locker room presence then why not keep him around until final cuts? Tebow will simply have to go back to his broadcasting gig not a bad landing.
  12. There definitely was some sort of issue on third and long in 2020. Especially against better offenses it was a huge issue. It was just odd since I felt like in 2019 the defense was pretty solid on closing the door on third and long.
  13. Solid CB’s won’t be cut but there are likely to be some vets available.
  14. Not sure why Kumerow is a lock for you? But either way the Bills have in my opinion 5 players for sure better than Zay and another 3-4 in his ballpark. Love that this team got a pick for him and I hope his career pans out in Vegas.
  15. KC is a legit team and they fixed (or at least massively invested in) their biggest weakness their O-line. They brought in two All-Pro caliber talents in Mankins and Brown while also adding a starting caliber center in Blythe and kicking tires on a good veteran in Long. On top of that they drafted Humphries in the second round and are getting back two players from opt out. They still have dynamic weapons in Hill and Kelce for Mahomes to throw to and a good RB in Edwards among solid complementary pieces. Their defense while not very good is far from tragic as they have a solid secondary and a big time disruptor in Jones. KC is the favorite in the AFC for good reason. Hopefully the Bills have a meaner nastier D-line ready to compete with them.
  16. Being red-shirted in a new position isn't the worst fate for him. Come in learn the system and the playbook while also getting to know the coaches and the organization. Hoping for the best for him.
  17. In years past when it was third and long I would assume it would be a greater than 90% chance that the Bills would punt. With Josh in 2020 I was pretty confident the offense would have at least a solid 40% chance to keep the ball (not sure on the actual percentages of the teams third down success but that's just what it felt like to me). I almost never feel like the team is out on a possession.
  18. My worst take of all time was thinking the Bills should have taken Rosen over Allen. Quickly talked myself into Allen within hours of the selection but completely bit into the "he will never be accurate" takes and all the analytics pre-draft.
  19. The dudes brain is very damaged from football better he got out when he did and hopefully he stays out. In his prime dude was the best LB in the game, but his brain injuries are forcing him to stay in retirement.
  20. Mongo was hurt out the gate with a long term injury and then they shuffled around with the Spain situation some more and Mitch got dinged up. Dawkins shouldn’t be a long term issue. Hoping the Bills get more continuity generally speaking on the Oline. Some shuffling is inevitable but last year it was excessive.
  21. My mom is against the vaccine and is in her mid 60’s been begging her to take the vaccine and she refuses to and has given me no reason. Very frustrating.
  22. A bit worried about Dawkins but there is still weeks before the opener, hopefully Brown or Ford can step in and get some reps in preseason at LT.
  23. All pretty marginal moves no shockers.
  24. I think Mongo being out last season and the constant shuffling at LG really hurt the ground game. This season with Mongo hopefully healthy and hopefully more continuity at LG I think the run blocking will be there much more consistently.
  25. Texas is as far East as they go. I think their meat comes from Colorado so they are sourced around that state.
