  1. Bills clear the logjam at DE a little bit and pocket a late round pick for their troubles. Still would not be shocked to see Addison traded if the right move is there but I think this move means they are carrying 6 DE’s and 4 DT’s.
  2. No team is giving up a good young CB for Addison. At best you might get a 5th round pick.
  3. I think Addison gets traded for a 5th round pick not sure on any other surprises but it will be tough to make some of these edge of the roster decisions.
  4. I think this trade is likely something in place for the 2022 season. It just doesn’t make sense for any team to trade 5 picks in the first two rounds plus likely other assets for a QB who is under federal investigation and is possible that they won’t play any time soon.
  5. I think Lamar deserves his contract but bigger than Josh’s? I get the Ravens don’t have the same style of offense and the numbers disparity is a function of various factors but Lamar has showcased his game has limitations that he has to overcome. Give both their big deals but the comparison is stupid.
  6. The Pats are well coached and have at least mid level NFL talent. That’s a recipe for above .500 if healthy. They aren’t going to be a pushover.
  7. Bledsoe had a great first half of 2002 but then declined in second half and had a terrible 2003 followed up by a decent 2004. Probably should have held onto him for one more year as he was decent in 2005 with the Cowboys and JP was in over his head in 2005. I do wonder if part of his decline was bad Oline play. Dude was an immobile QB and the Oline was not very good in his 3 seasons here. Just interesting to me that the team never made massive investments to the line while he was here.
  8. The media was focused on BS back in 2010 as they are now. The advent of 24 hour news is what created a hyper focus on issues that don’t matter (with few exceptions there isn’t 24 hours worth of news in a day) I digress that even in 1996 the news cycle made the NBA player refusing to stand for the anthem a big story. FYI that Abdul-Rauf story happened in 1996 not 2010 and it was a fairly big deal at the time.
  9. The team since 2019 certainly has made the investment into the Dline draft capital wise. Ed, AJ, Greg and Boogie all players drafted in the first two rounds. Have to hope that at least 2 of these guys turn into high end players.
  10. I can’t see him playing more than two series if that but hey the coaching staff probably has the feel that he needs some reps.
  11. I think the Bills are in a good spot, plenty of time off before the season starts so the dings of camp should be shaken off and the Bills Dline could feast against a poor Steelers Oline. I like the bills chances.
  12. But then you add Kurt Angle to the mix...
  13. McD has a weird loyalty to vets often and I think Addison is a guy they will keep around and stick him in a backup LB spot and have him rush the passer in situations similar to Lorax and then let him walk after the season.
  14. Smart move for both teams. Pats get some late round picks for a player that was somewhat talented but in a log jam. They have Harris as a starter and White as a third down back along with some of their other back ups showing out well in pre-season and camp. The Rams get some help in a backfield relying on Henderson a back with issues staying healthy on a full load.
  15. You are most likely correct that Lock will likely be a career backup, however I do think he gets some starts this year and if he does well in then he could get another starting opportunity in Denver or elsewhere.
  16. Andre Smith gives this team some needed depth at LB, Matakevich has also been a nice surprise as I wrote him off as a fanatic special teams specialist but seeing him be someone that can add depth to the team is a nice plus. The front office continues to build the team very well.
  17. I wouldn't write off Lock just yet as I think that within six weeks Bridgewater is likely to lose that starting job and Lock in my opinion could see 8ish starts as if the Broncos are sub .500 with Bridgewater (which is likely) they will probably throw Lock in just to see what they have with him one last time. If Lock performs well in those starts he could get another shot to compete for a job.
  18. Love Baldy's breakdowns. I think the D-line is going to be sick this year esp if Star can be the true one tech this team missed last season.
  19. That actually reminds me of when Keenan Allen awhile back got a season ending injury for a lacerated kidney. These weird types of injuries just happen sometimes. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/14044550/keenan-allen-san-diego-chargers-headed-ir-lacerated-kidney I wouldn't be happy if I were a Broncos fan. They really have been very mediocre since they won the Super Bowl in Peyton's last season. They never make a good decision on a QB. They were in position to draft Josh Allen at pick 5 when they didn't have much at QB and instead went with a defensive player. Now they are stuck in a division with Mahomes and possibly another talented QB in Herbert and they bench a young QB with some promise for a mediocre starter in Bridgewater. The Broncos aren't just bad they are directionless bad.
  20. I don’t think the Pegulas want to move the Bills however I do think that the current stadium and its economics don’t work for them either. I am not sure what the local economic and political environment in Buffalo is like to support a stadium but if the appetite just isn’t there for a deal it might get contentious.
  21. I think the Bills would easily give up MT for a single first round pick, but that being said no realistic trade for Mitch is happening. Yes one team like the Jets or another team lacking a backup might give up a later round pick for Mitch but no team is giving up anything draft compensation wise that would tempt the Bills. The Bills need a backup QB and Mitch is one of the better ones in the league. The Bills are also trying to develop a reputation as a "QB factory" and that will allow the Bills the ability to attract Mitch like projects going forward and constantly ensure cheap high end backups.
  22. I think he takes the money after his rookie deal expires if he is performing well enough to justify a fairly big extension. The risk of playing out a rookie deal when the Jags have the franchise tag in their back pocket is simply too great for him to not just take a huge guarantee. Then once he is approaching the end of his second contract he will tell the Jags basically that he isn't going to resign once his deal ends. By that point he will have collected on a big contract and have the ability to make whatever decisions he wants football wise. I think that will be a trend among top tier QB's. Similar to what star NBA players do towards the end of their second contracts.
  23. Another fair comparison. I feel like we will be seeing QB's in the future wanting to leave organizations that they feel aren't putting a good enough team around them like star NBA players. QB's are really the only NFL players with comparable leverage. I could see Lawrence as he is approaching 30 asking out of Jacksonville if they can't put a decent team around him.
  24. Injuries are the worst part of football. Just hard to see a talented player go down like that.
