  1. It's due diligence, you would hope that your GM would look at multiple scenarios outside of drafting one of the blue chip QB's. That's what good teams do.
  2. I call bull ****
  3. That's fine, you disagree with his view which could very well be right but that isn't how you framed it.
  4. So based off of this, you could expect 2 out of the 4 QB's to either be decent to really good and the other 2 to be mediocre to bad. 50% odds
  5. I think you are confusing with "where they should be drafted" to "first round grade". First round grade meaning from this perspective a true blue chipper. Doesn't mean that the supposed blue chipper should be selected over the QB prospect just that he believes the blue chipper will go on to have a more successful NFL career than the QB prospect. Make sense?
  6. I would be surprised if Allen falls outside of the top 5 and shocked outside of the top 10.
  7. He's a stud! Very productive, was a team captain, off-the-charts athleticism, extremely fluid for his size with great work ethic. He'll be a very good pro.
  8. Lawson would fetch anywhere from a 3rd to a 5th round pick.
  9. What does Shaq get you? From 12 to 11? I don't think there is much trade value there. Hughes is our best pass rusher and we have a lousy pass rush, doubt we look to unload him. At least not this year.
  10. You clearly don't understand, they need to open up the field so that Woods, Kupp and Gurley can get their receptions. It's so totally worth it! On a serious note, it certainly appears it is make or break time for them because they won't be able to keep some of these players for longer than a year or two similar to the fleece job they had on them for Watkins. They are without a 1st and 2nd now, right?
  11. The more I think about it, I think this has much less to do with the Pats trying to trade up for a QB than them trading away Cook who is in a contract year after negotiations broke down. They realized that he was asking more than what they were willing to pay (similar to what we saw with Watkins) and they wanted to get value while they could. Mission accomplished. Plus, could you just imagine the hissy fit that Marsha would have? The relationship between him and Belichick would be unbearable and I just don't see Kraft signing off on that.
  12. It all depends on how things unfold, if they think they can get certain players at lower draft slots then sure. But we do have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds and if we cannot trade up to get one of the elite 4, then drafting 6 different positions via the draft certainly does fill a lot of holes, at least on paper it does.
  13. Due diligence folks. As much as the serial whiney ninny's can't fathom the idea that it takes two to tango when it comes to trading draft choices the Bills have to have a plan B, plan C and plan D if things don't unfold the way youd ideally like for them to. That's what good sports mangers do or for that matter what a good normal private civilian should do in life which is plan for the unexpected.
  14. I see the whiny overreacting ninny's are out in full force. This draft cannot come soon enough.
  15. Who made you all high and mighty? If anything he should preface or qualify his thread title with "rumor". Relatively speaking it is worthy of a new thread. I swear you thread cops are as bad as the ones you complain about.
  16. He'd have to be 5th on the team in receptions for Cooks to outperform Watkins. Gonna be tough.
  17. I'm not gonna lie, I definitely have warmed up to Allen over the past few weeks. The more I saw of him the more I came away impressed and if we did end up drafting him I wouldn't be upset, not in the least. Having said that, he's still my #4 QB in this years draft.
  18. I'll support the organization if they do this because I believe they have earned the right for that trust but I wouldn't be thrilled about it. I much would rather try to trade with either Cleveland/Denver/Indy and give up considerably less.
  19. I will tell you what is a fact, that Scorp83 doesn't know the difference between a fact and an opinion.
  20. I've actually warmed up to Allen, after seeing a bunch of video I'm fairly confident he is a starting caliber QB. He's my 4th rated an, behind Mayfield, Rosen and Darnold. In that order. Any of the 4 and I would be happy
