  1. Uhhhh, that's not how it happened at all. He was actually putting up good numbers when Flacco was at the helm. With Flacco he was on pace to have 60 receptions with 1000 yards and 7 TD's. His production dropped off after Lamar came in. But aside from that, you had a good point.
  2. I've always liked Ansah, had a great combine and I remember really hoping that the Bills would draft him coming out of college. He has shown that he can really get after the QB, the last two completely healthy years he had he combined for 26 sacks. Very athletic, perfect size and has a good motor. Injuries have been his biggest roadblock and if the Bills can get him a 3 year $30 million contract with incentives relying on playing time and production that can push it up to around $36 million, with heavy up front money and guarantees of $15M 1st year and around $20M guaranteed then I'm all for it.
  3. If the Bills were to get Bell which I highly doubt, I would get behind the decision and be excited to have a player as dynamic as he. Once you strip away the emotion, the decision doesn't make sense similar to the AB one. The Bills first need to have a better line and there are plenty of RB's that can look better than what they are when they have a good line blocking for them. Get 2 more O linemen, another WR, draft a early to mid to mid-late round RB and roll with it. Bell just doesn't make sense from my viewpoint.
  4. Exactly! I have heard a few opinions outside of this board and universally view Gore as a good value pickup. He is not meant to be the feature back, hes a one year rental who can carry the workload if needed and can block and catch from the backfield. Not to mention he is a workout freak who undoubtedly will run off his work habits to other teammates who will look up to a multiple appearance pro bowl player.
  5. 2 million dollars a year for a back that is still productive, excellent blocker, workout freak and good locker room guy who most likely will replace Ivory at a cheaper cost.
  6. The over-the-top reactions over a measly $2m a year depth signing for RB is priceless ?? You guys are a treasure.
  7. Not splashy but gets his catches, entering into his prime and a top notch blocker. Oh well, onto the next.
  8. I see that side of it as well and I do agree that it would be likely that at least one of the players would remain for 2019. But from observing Beane, if they were to land an upper tier DE like Flowers and having over $8M on the books for Murphy and having to shell out another $10.5M for Hughes and $10M for Shaq plus and possibly most importantly they would lose draft capital by not trading Shaq at this time, I think it's probably likely that Shaq goes. On the other hand they may just would want to retain all 4 of them for this upcoming season and see if either Shaq or Murphy emerges from the level of play they have been playing. Shaq is an ok player and has progressively gotten better and as you stated Murphy is intriguing with his long reach. If he could stay healthy he could find his groove and put up a solid season.
  9. Not even close. Hogan has cracked 40 receptions once in his 8 year career. Humphries has cracked 50 receptions 3 out of his 4 years, with one year over 60 and his last season over 70.
  10. Now THIS move would make a whole lot of sense. He is a quality slot receiver, he isn't splashy and won't get you the big chunk yardage but he will move the chains. He has been a productive slot receiver and shouldn't cost all that much money. If they can get him around the $7M a year range, I'd take it and run.
  11. If the Bills were to sign Flowers, either Murphy or Lawson would be out this year and the other one out the year after. My guess is if Flowers is picked up, they'd keep Murphy around as a rotational guy and look to trade Shaq now while he still has some draft capital value.
  12. I just saw what you posted. The Bills have money to spend and getting a top 10 DE (which is what I believe him to be) is somewhere you spend money on. I would be ok even if the Bills went to somewhere around $16M a year.
  13. Excellent player. Great against the run and much better rushing the passer than his 7.5 sacks suggest. He is a process guy, great work ethic, Good production, only 25 and improving each year. He is one of PFF's top ranked edge defenders and he's versatile that can stack up anywhere on the line. Would love to have him and if we could get him for somewhere around $14 Mill a year, I'd be happy.
  14. I also have no doubt that Andy Isabella will become at the very least a very productive player in the NFL barring injuries. I think he is one of the "can't miss" players in this years draft.
  15. Ed Oliver with the first round pick Andy Isabella with the 2nd round pick
  16. Funny? Only for those who dont understand what they are trying to do. It was completely logical and they are following through with the plan they had from day 1 nearly 2 years ago. Which was to get rid of the players and contracts that they did not want for this franchise. Reasonable people can disagree with the roster moves and decisions they made but one thing is clear at least clear to those who are able to plainly see what they are doing, which is remaking this team the way they see fit which is all you can ask for from both the FO and ownership and for that I applaud them. When I see these uninformed takes from The armchair GMs that pretend to know more than they do, its baffling to me that they are unable to see that this FO has a much clearer vision and more methodical take in how they go about their business. I suppose I'm a sucker for clear eyed detailed, methodical GMs because it's similar to the line of work that I'm in and I respect leaders who share those traits. The way I see it, the Bill's have instilled a culture of accountability and football that we hadn't seen in years, a culture of good organized defense, drafted their franchise QB, have made some good draft picks and FA players and have cleared up tons of cap space to mold this team to their liking. But just because they have a clear vision and freed up cap space doesnt mean they will be successful, they still have to make player evaluations and their record on that is decent and they still have much to prove. I'm hopeful, the QB is the most important piece and from my perspective they got their guy. And they also brought in other really good pieces as well. This year will be important to see if they are able to build off the foundation that has been layed.
  17. I get it and I'm not opposed to trading for Julio but the #9 for a 30 year old? I'm not too keen on that. If I knew we could get 4 elite years of football then I would be for it, but its risky. Over the past month I have become very impressed with the receivers that are available via the draft and I think the Bill's should draft a couple of them in the first 4 rounds.
  18. It's a deep year for WRs in the draft, draft 1 or 2 of them and consider getting one of the quality slot receivers in FA.
  19. That we dont win the offseason.
  20. What's even more hilarious are the overreacting ninny's who care what the media says about the Bills.
