  1. The BPA most likely will be a DE and DT, and it will absolutely be a need by 2020. My guess is that Oliver due to his "lack of production" despite his good penetrating numbers will fit the bill. I do believe him to be an impact player with elite talent level. His size doesnt bother me that much because he would be the 3 technique and he has elite level quickness/first step and plays with great leverage. I suspect he will have better pass rushing and sack numbers than he did in college and he will undoubtedly have lots of TFL due to his style of play. If he is there at 9, I think he will be the pick.
  2. Good consistent pass blocker and has shown the ability to be a dominant run blocker. Just not lately.
  3. This will play very little to no bearing on whether or not the Bills draft a TE in the draft. Fisher is not a lock to make the team and either is Croom. Beane basically increased competition and if he sees the right TE at the right draft selection, he'll still pull the trigger.
  4. You mean to tell me that the true winners are the lawyers? Shocking!
  5. Could this finally be the year for Sammy?
  6. With continued focus in the off season with his mechanics, more familiarity with Dabolls offense, renewed focus on looking for the underneath route/better decision making, better receivers better pass protection and going into his 2nd year as the starter I think you will see his completion percentage jump to around the 60% area.
  7. I tend to agree, I was speaking more to speed being a supposed issue for him in the pros.
  8. I think the Pegulas are similar to that of Jones with the cowboys in that when he feels comfortable with a GM/coach and there are at least springs of hope he is willing to be more patient with them. Like what we saw with Garrett. I believe they like the way Beane/McDermott are running the organization and much to chagrin of Bill's fans I believe he will allow more leeway than what most fans would like to see. Unless this organization falls off the rails I believe they will have at a minimum 3 more years.
  9. Admittedly, I have only seen the highlight reels of N'Keal and while he looks to be in the mold of a Boldin sort of reciever who is extremely strong, physical and able to pluck balls out of the air with his strong hands, he rarely seems to separate. I'm not sure if our experiences with Kelvin have skewed how I view receivers who dont separate well, but it's certainly a cause for concern. I'm probably unfairly comparing the two but separation matters and if you had to be concerned about any part of his game, I think you could justifiably say this would be the one.
  10. Obviously his comments will open the door to plenty of snark because Allen hasn't come close to whiffing what Mahomes has done in the air. With that said, the potential to be an overall special QB is there for Allen, now he just needs to realize it.
  11. I wouldn't be worried with his 40 time, its plenty fast enough to be effective in this league. Basically with his relatively ok 40 time he most likely eliminated himself from being a possible top 15 back. with that said, he looks as if he is going to be a mighty fine all around back in this league who will undoubtedly make whoever drafts him a better team.
  12. That will not be the final determinant from the Pegulas. They will make their assessment primarily on the trajectory of the organization more so than whether or not they make the playoffs.
  13. Even though I wouldn't be quite as black or white as your view, I generally agree with the underlying sentiment that what matters more than any draft choice or FA pickup is the growth from Allen from year one to two. There is nothing more important than that.
  14. He's paid like he's "great"? Yeah, maybe back in 2005
  15. If he stays healthy is a quality rotational guy to have.
  16. Actually it was a 4.31 forty https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2019/03/02/nfl-combine-andy-isabella-40-time-randy-moss/3042350002/ And I read that he's been timed in the 4.2's in private workouts which wouldn't surprise me since he was timed at 4.31 at the combine. The thing about this kid is that he isn't just timed fast, he plays fast. You see it, he was literally running away from Georgia defenders and two of those players he was running around are expected to be drafted in the first 2 rounds of this years draft. He's going to be special.
  17. Timmuh hasn't changed one bit from when he posted here years back. As thin-skinned as ever.
  18. I believe he ended up running a 4.34 forty
  19. Gronk is a dominant blocker. He mauls defenders.
  20. I think they will be happy if half the FA's turn out to be keepers beyond 2020. The way they've structured the contracts, they can continue to keep shuffling in new guys and little by little continue to fill holes via FA. The key for them as it is for most teams is to consistently hit at a relative decent rate with their draft picks. If they indeed hit it with Josh Allen, which I suspect they have, that will go a long way in building an eventual superbowl contender. If not, they will be replaced within a few years. As of right now, I think they are looking pretty good in building the franchise the right way. They certainly have a more professional process than what we've seen in quite some time.
  21. I just don't get why they wouldn't re-sign him. He wouldn't be that expensive, probably around the $5M a year range. He's been productive, he gets after the QB and he's young and still getting better. Either they don't value the position that much or they think they can get similar production elsewhere.
  22. My guess is that they will struggle early on and at some point around mid to late season they will find something that works. That has been their M.O over the past few years.
  23. Ed Oliver or Wilkins are who I'm hoping we draft. Oliver offers more explosive upside while Wilkins has shown he can be a pretty good playmaker who can get to the QB himself. Sweat is intriguing but I believe Oliver and Wilkins are the better prospects.
