McBeane Confidence Update
Magox replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nobody said there wasn't pressure, there is always pressure to win. If they have a disappointing year then the noose suddenly begins to tighten. I am sure that if you asked Bills brass in private along with ownership, there wasn't a real expectation to win this past year. If you ask them what they expect for this coming year, I would assume that they would be very disappointed if they don't seriously challenge for the AFC East division. -

Sorry to disappoint you Scotty, their jobs are very secure. -

They won't be gone next year. The only way that happens is if there is a team mutiny and give up on the coach and the odds of that happening are extremely low. Unlike you Scotty, fans and ownership are happy with both of them and their jobs are very secure at this time. -
You don't just "luck" into victories. There can be luck involved to win but at the end of the day, luck is not what wins games. They won because they played disciplined, ball hawking good defense and virtually turnover free football. They didn't just luck themselves into it, they earned their 9 victories. Daboll has done lots for this team, and to be honest with you I think his approach has been excellent considering that we have one of the worst offensive rosters in the NFL. Next year when we have a better line, more weapons and most importantly a 2nd year improved Allen, this offense take it to the next level. Which if you hadn't noticed, since week 10, this team has averaged 24 points a game. I don't know about you, but with a rookie QB, horrid line, aging RB's, non existent TE's and young WR's, I'd say that he's done one hell of a job from the first half of the season to the second half.

It's that you were the biggest homer and apologist for Bills failures for nearly a decade on this board when Whaley, Nix, Marv etc. were here and now we have a coach who took us to the playoffs with a team lacking in talent and a GM who finally drafted a franchise QB and you've all of a sudden turned into Sir Poo poo's in your teams a lot. It's truly bizarre.

Steelers parting ways with RB coach James Saxon
Magox replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm surprised that the Steelers weren't that high in rushing yardage with all the Bell and Conner hype. They were both fantasy studs. -
Great work! And I dont claim to be an expert but I know when I see a NFL future stud and Arabella is going to be special in this league.

Andy Isabella: Josh Allen's potential new toy
Magox replied to FeelingOnYouboty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Holy crap! I was reading about this kid. Against top rated colleges in 3 games he has 26 receptions, 472 yards and 3 TD's. Georgia alone he had 15 catches for 219 yards with 2 TD's. For the season he had 101 receptions for 1697 yards and 13 TD's. He was clocked with a 4.39 40 yard time. Not only is he timed fast look at his highlights, you can see that he has serious game day speed. He looks like he's going to be a legit WR in this league. If he's available in the 2nd round I'd seriously consider him. I know Slot receivers typically don't get drafted that early but this kid is for real. I think he's going to be the most productive receiver out of this years draft. Look what Georgia players had to say about him. Watch some of the highlights vs Georgia You can see he pulls away from likely 1st round DB Deandre Baker and their other DB on the other side. He's just straight up blowing right by them. Don't fool around, snag him in the second. -

Sounds interesting. -
A good QB, physical trenches on both sides of the ball and elite level D is the formula for this team. We just need to get more physical in the trenches and we will be there. Wity that said Indy looks legit

Sean McDermott’s Current Approval Rating
Magox replied to BillyWhiteShows's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is pretty much where I am. As long as the team doesnt bolt on him, which I have a hard time believing will happen I dont see how we dont progress from this past year. I want to see how they build around Allen. I think with a good draft and a couple FA's we are in the hunt. -

Put me in the camp that a complete tear down was necessary. I think that McD needs some work with his game management but he holds his players and coaches accountable and the players play their ass off for him. I approve -
Wild Card Saturday: FA targets to watch

I would love Clowney, but as the previous poster mentioned the Texans have tons of cap space and it would seem foolish to let him walk. -
Stephon Gilmore - first team AP All-Pro
Magox replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gilmore is an excellent corner and has always been good. Very physical in coverage and played very good man to man. The reason why he is hated on from portions of the fanbase is because he came off as aloof, he never took blame for his play and he wasnt always the most willing tackler and when you combine that with a franchise that had never whiffed the playoffs while he was here, this is a common reaction that you would expect from any NFL fanbase. Going to the Pats didnt do him any favors either. -

I think we need to Unify as a fanbase and nothing unites us Bills fans as much as talking about Sammy Watkins. Let's talk about him. -
Ruh roh, C. Biscuit is here. Better hide your bowl of Cheerios cuz he's about to piss right in it!
