  1. Wasn't the original quote looking for a DE who "turned into a monster"? It didn't mention WOF. I would say that neither Hanson nor Schobel were "monsters", but they are equivalent to each other, IMO. The only reason Schobel isn't on the wall is because those Bills teams he played on were mediocre. He's at least as qualified as Phil Hansen.
  2. I wonder if the OP sees any irony in the title of this post? It was a phrase coined former VP Agnew to mock the media for criticism and negative coverage of himself and the Nixon administration. Ironically, it turns out that the criticism was mostly warranted since both he and Nixon were criminals. Now it is being used to mock fans who are critical of the Bills…
  3. Exactly. So having a deep roster doesn't mean bupkis compared to having a good QB, and therefore who cares how many players the Jets, the Bills or the 49ers got poached? It doesn't really equate to wins.
  4. I don’t understand the tweet. The Jets were 7-10 last season, so having the most players poached didn’t mean they had a great roster. Maybe their scrubs were better than those on some other teams I guess.
  5. Maybe Klein didn’t think he got a fair opportunity to win the starting MLB job and was vocal about it.
  6. It paid off having crappy MLBs. Kirksey probably saw the roster and decided that this was the place for him.
  7. Maybe we can swap seventh round picks in 2030 with someone for them.
  8. An OL that has been shaky all training camp, and looked pretty bad vs the Steelers, may lose a starter for the first few weeks of the regular season and people are mocked for being concerned. 😂
  9. The other thing that concerned me, which no one is mentioning, is that the starting DL seems unable to generate a pass rush without blitzing or a protection breakdown. They just don’t beat the guys in front of them.
  10. He does not have any confidence in his OL. Probably with cause. His running ability is great but he is going to it too quickly.
  11. Dodson got steamrolled at the los. And it looked like the parachute came out for Poyer.
  12. I thought playing the run was supposed to be Dodson’s strength. He was terrible against the pass last season.
  13. How could Kyle Allen and Matt Barkley have possibly “graded out the same”? If that’s the case then I seriously question the grading system. More likely, IMO, is that they really want Allen to win the job so they are talking him up and giving him every opportunity.
  14. No surprises to me except Settle ahead of Ford. it’s a solid roster except for MLB. I hope that doesn’t hurt them too bad.
  15. Just do a Google search for Aaron Rodgers conspiracy theories and you’ll get quite a treasure trove.
  16. That’s probably his natural position and the Bills may be able to dupe some 3-4 team into a trade, but ultimately you have to beat the guy in front of you, no matter what DL position you play, and Basham doesn’t seem to do that very often.
  17. Like when the NY Giants had Vince Lombardi as OC and Tom Landry as DC.
  18. In a 3-4 defense, the OLBs are basically the same as Von Miller or Hughes are/were in the 4-3. Bennett-Still-Smerlas-Smith-Talley … a #1 overall, two #2 overalls, and two 2nd round picks. A lot of investment, and for my money, the best defensive front the Bills have ever had.
  19. Better than Bennett you think? Bennett was a #2 overall pick and had a much longer track record of success than Paup, who only really had the one great year for the Bills.
  20. Basically the impression I got too. I understand looking for depth and ST on day 3, but the Williams pick seemed too soon for me. Even so, if the top two picks turn into solid starters it would still be a decent draft, IMO.
  21. Dallas basically flipped a switch at halftime and took the game over. They ran the ball right down the defense’s throat and pitched a second half shutout. To me, this was the most depressing Super Bowl of the four because the Bills didn’t really play like crap, have a million turnovers, lose their starting QB, miss the winning FG, etc. They just ran up against a team that raised their game to a level the Bills could not match. It was hard to find excuses after that game.
  22. SB26 and especially 25 are the ones that got away. Dallas was a whole different animal and probably one of the best team of all time, IMO. Beating them was always going to be tough.
