  1. I really liked Gailey, and the offense would’ve been great with Allen. But Gailey’s problem was that he didn’t give a crap about defense and fielded some of the worst defenses in Bills history. No way they make the playoffs with those defenses. Marrone fielded some great defenses, but he and Hackett would’ve ruined Allen before he got off the ground. He would’ve been a first round bust, IMO. I think the best would’ve probably been Ryan. If he could go 8-8 with Taylor, imagine what he could do with Allen.
  2. To be really fair, Hill said that Tua was the most accurate QB he has played with, not the best.
  3. If only he could have got Spiller in space…
  4. It’s funny that the season started with some fans touting Bass as the best kicker in franchise history. Now people want him cut. Overreact much?
  5. If they give Murphy the job back right now, the ratings would double over Chris Brown. Heck, even I would tune in. Arguably, the best tandem in the entire country.
  6. This is true, but the relative power of each person is different. The Pegulas are already super rich, and the power that comes with that enables them to get hundreds of millions in additional subsides. Other people have to be contented with far less and question why the Pegulas are entitled to su much more than them. Maybe it’s the way of the world, but the resentment is understandable.
  7. I hear you, and don’t disagree, but the signs are obvious. The did win a lot of games playing that way, so I wouldn’t move yet!
  8. I’m not sure why there is so much focus on the WR room when it was obvious over the second half of last season that the Bills are becoming a run heavy team that throws mostly to its TEs and backs. How many catches did Diggs and Davis, their #1 and #2 WRs, even have the last 8 games of last season? And then they draft two more OL, a RB and a big, physical WR. That should be telling everyone something, IMO.
  9. Because he is a rookie WR in the NFL. Look at Shakir and Davis.
  10. This went through my mind as well- if this is the type of player they are looking for, then why didn’t the just keep Davis? Yes, Coleman is cheaper but he will also take a couple of years to develop.
  11. I think you nailed it, except: I don’t think Benford is above average with respect to other CBs around the league. Just average. I’m also mixed on Cook. Yes, he’s a good receiving back but he can’t block and is an average rusher. Maybe that makes him slightly above average overall but it’s close, IMO. I would say that as the roster sits right now, WR, Edge and safety are certainly below average, and it’s going to be hard to address all three with solid new starters before next season.
  12. It’s true. Alex Smith was an above average starter.
  13. He is absolutely too big a part of the offense to be sustainable. It’s crazy that he’s not only the key to their passing game, but the team’s best rusher too. Forget the injury risk, balance is in itself a weapon. It keeps teams from keying on one guy and motivates other players to lead, get into the game, and stay focused.
  14. I don’t know, they won a lot of games with Alex Smith. Mahomes put them over the top but they were a consistent winner before he got there.
  15. What is your proof to assert that the “Jets are loaded”? How many championships has their roster, coach, or FO, produced? How many playoff appearances? How many wins? It’s just hype until they prove otherwise.
  16. It’s amazing to me how much love the Jets consistently get despite having just 1 winning season over the last 13 years and none for the last 8. Maybe we should wait until they make the playoffs for once before they are anointed champions.
  17. The media have had very little part in the Diggs saga, IMO. Diggs has always been a diva, back to his days in Minnesota, but lots of professional athletes are. It’s really very simple: He was happy when Daboll was OC and they were winning and passing the ball 80% of the time, less happy when Dorsey became OC and the offense started to struggle, and really unhappy when Brady became OC and they turned into a run first team that targets RBs and TEs in the passing game. His unhappiness combined with the change in offensive focus made him as much of a liability as an asset so the team accommodated his desire to move on.
  18. If he could do that he’d probably still be playing in Minnesota.
  19. I’ve been musing about this same thing. I certainly can’t see him being a mentor to their young WRs
  20. It’s classic that there is video of them drag racing, casing a major 6 car accident, then exiting their vehicles and leaving the scene like nothing happened and they think nothing of it. I love the guy filming the video of them leaving asking them where they are going and if they’re just going to leave and they’re like “yup”. 😂 these guys should lose their licenses for the next 10 years.
  21. Just kick it out of the end zone and forget about it.
  22. I can’t believe I going to chime in for Jauron here, but what do you think their respective records would look like if we swapped Beane for Levy/Brandon, and Pegula’s deep pockets for Wilson’s? I don’t think they would be quite as different as you may think.
  23. Unless Allen starts to play on defense too, I don’t think he can do much more. Allen has been good enough to win a Super Bowl for a few years now. The problem is on the other side of the ball.
  24. The Chiefs would be awesome. Can you imagine? 😂
