  1. Dolphins dominated the second half until those last two drives. Absolute clutch by Allen.
  2. The combination of the two is outstanding. Then you rotate in Phillips and Settle and it’s arguably the best DT group in the league, IMO.
  3. I was there last weekend in the Toyota club and I counted the rows to where you were covered. It was seven. Catch is that there was very little wind. If it’s gusty you might still get cold / snowed on, so I would prepare for that.
  4. It’s not that hard to understand. Teams are playing the Bills with a lot of zone or hybrid zone defenses with a focus on Diggs. These reduce Allen’s scrambling ability and take away the deep stuff. To combat this the Bills need be able to either “run them out of it” by gashing the light boxes with the run game or throw it to inside targets like the TE, RB and slot WR. Problem is that this has only been moderately effective because the Bills don’t really have a dominant running game outside of Allen and have unreliable inside receivers.
  5. McKenzie is a solid option vs man coverage. He’s too quick for most slot corners to stay with.
  6. I don’t even know what’s holding anymore. Half the calls seem totally random.
  7. The Bills need some zone busters. They're facing a lot of zone coverages because of Allen's running ability, but they don't really have anyone you can routinely get open vs zones except for Diggs. They brought in Crowder for this but he got hurt. Beasley from 2020 would be able to help, but I'm not sure about today's version.
  8. Yeah, I'm sure it would have been a real dogfight to get his rights. I think Elam was supposed to be a starter. Didn't work out that way. And I don't think it's because Jackson has been playing lights out either. But of course, he's a rookie, so it's not the end of the world.
  9. It was a decent call because you knew it would be open. The only wild card was the impact of the weather conditions, which did affect the play (under thrown pass + not a strong catch). But given the Bills inability to run the ball, it's hard to question it, unless you just wanted to basically give up and make the Jets use their timeouts and punt.
  10. The slot WR position. Otherwise they wouldn't be dumpster diving for help.
  11. Marquez Stephenson dumped from the PS to make room. It seems like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic but who knows.
  12. Gronk would be upgrade on many teams, but if the guy still wanted to play he’d be with the Bucs.
  13. I admire White’s toughness. Coming back out to try and lead his team in such an important game for them must have been inspiring. However, I have to say that I think he needs to protect himself better. He had to see Milano coming and tried to make the throw anyway. A players best ability is availability. He should have thrown it away early (like Brady would have) or just protected himself, taken the sack, and lived for the next play or series. I would never want Allen trying something like that.
  14. Shaq has his strong points, but rushing the passer isn't one of them. The drop off from Von to Shaq in terms of pass rush is like falling off a cliff, IMO.
  15. I don't think I've seen any study that shows a correlation for more injuries inside the pocket or outside. As you say, you often take bigger hits in the pocket, but if you run you are hit 100% of the time (unless you score an uncontested TD I guess) whereas many passes from the pocket occur without getting significant contact.
  16. I wonder how Barry would look running into those 6 man boxes and 2 deep zones that the Bills face every week? Instead of the 10 guys and specific game plan designed around stopping him. Just musing…
  17. Both fair points, but if Bobby Hart isn’t better than what we saw on Thursday then what is he doing on an NFL roster? The coaches obviously don’t think he is, which is pretty damning.
  18. I have to seriously question whether a 70% Quessenberry was the best OT the Bills could have put on the field. He was absolutely terrible. If so, then I think you do have to question what the Bills are doing with their OL roster.
  19. This is exactly what the NFL is trying to stop. They want DBs to play pass defense by making plays on the ball.
