Carson Wentz to the Colts
Charles Romes replied to Brennan Huff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Worth the risk to land a possible franchise QB. As we know you can swing and miss for decades. -
Watching the games it seemed the Texans allowed Watt to do what he wanted to do which is rush the passer every single play so that he could build up his sack stats. Consequently, the Texans were constantly getting gashed with the run to Watts side as Watt continued his move to the backfield. Back in the day I remember they would try to run to Bruce’s side and Bruce would stop on a dime and spin back to stuff the run. JJ is no Bruce.

You don’t need to spend a first rounder on a running back. You can get a good one in the third. -
Watson vs Allen.

Most underrated stat, sack percentage: Watson 9.1 playing with franchise left tackle Allen 6.4 (4.3 in 2020) all time career leader, Rob Johnson with a staggering 14.8 -
Watson vs Allen.
Charles Romes replied to Marvlevydraftdaygenius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watson is good but not at Allen’s level. Allen has a stronger arm and is a better runner. Allen senses the pocket better and is more likely to survive against a great pass rush. Josh needs good but not franchise level tackles to be successful, so he reduces OL costs significantly relative to Watson. -
You have to consider the overall organization culture transformation when he signed. No other QB could have done that. Yes he got a bunch of Jordan calls during the game as well which were critical, but he showed enough game during the regular season that he kept getting the Jordan calls. If he was throwing nothing like ducks like he did v the saints mid-season the Jordan calls would have stopped. The league would have put him out to pasture if he could not still play.

Defenses led Brady to his last two rings
Charles Romes replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brady was smart enough to go somewhere that was just missing decent but not great QB play. Have to give Brady credit for going out and recruiting fournette and turning him into a team player. -

Fisher going down skewed everything. -
The kid went back into the Raiders game making it look to the opponent that nothing had happened, though the pain had to be excruciating.

Hate to say it but I wish he came up with something better against KC. -
Joe B article speculates John Brown will be cut
Charles Romes replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A healthy Kenny Stills in 21 will easily outperform John Brown’s 2020. Thank you for the career year 2019 John Brown. Critical for Josh’s development. -
I’m warming up to the JJ Watt idea

Hard pass. I find him obnoxious and tad un-genuine. -

Someone should give Chan a shot with a real QB for once. Look at what he’s had to deal with over the years. -
Cam Newton, NFL MVP. Does any team want him 2021?
Charles Romes replied to Nihilarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh only overran this last year in the playoffs when the world championship was on the line. He certainly toned it down during the regular season. I’m ok with him running it in the playoffs if it’s our only chance to survive. Which it was. -
Is anybody talking about the 2021 schedule?
Charles Romes replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
in every game but one or two I’m like “our QB is way better”. It’s a good feeling. -
Jason Witten has a new job.

I never understood how he got, as his first job in the booth, the lead commentator for MNF. Why not start with some local cable show work. The naturals like Tony Romo are extremely rare.
