  1. Looking at the schedule if there is way the Pats could be in a rest the starters mode week 16 that could be huge. Major difference between playing them week 16 or 17.
  2. This is where you kill the wounded animal. Unfortunately we don't have that type of team.
  3. I agree that the numbers don't lie and are particularly stunning when cross referenced with the turnaround of Jacksonville's run D. There were some astute football savvy posters on this board who warned that Dareus was occupying multiple blockers each of his limited snaps and thus was earning his large salary. These were lonely voices of wisdom it turns out and Dareus continued to be a punching bag for the fans and the media. The most distressing thing is that the coaching staff and front office listened to the fans and the media and exaccerbated the piling on rather than capably evaluate Dareus' now clear dominant impact on the field.
  4. Didn't someone run on us for 200 twice last year!
  5. I think I have seen enough already of Peterman to know. He didn't throw five interceptions. He threw five interceptions IN A HALF!
  6. Philip Rivers is an upper echelon franchise QB. Always has been. It's a sign of bad coaching and management that he has not been close to a title.
  7. There is nothing left to clean. The cupboard is bare.
  8. Depressing question. 9 is not realistic as it would mean beating the chiefs or pats. Any number less than 9 is not good enough for the playoffs and any number greater than 5 destroys critical draft standing.
  9. Yes - He had one catch that day. This one that won the ballgame. Hard to put a price on greatness.
  10. Maybe the upshot if all this will be that Tyrod will start slinging it and see what happens. He should be ecouraged to pass for 300 and a 1/1 TD/int ratio instead of 179 and a 4/1 ratio. Then, this benching experiment will have had some value.
  11. I'm so thankful for teams staying in Buffalo that I have given them a lifelong pass for being terrible owners.
  12. I'm glad this was brought up. How often do you see Tyrod mishandle the snap. Incredibly refined ball security.
  13. He was clearly a flyer. Trying to find a starter in the 5th on the cheap. Unfortunately the fatal flaws are already apparent. Next.
  14. The statistics show that the defense was being held together by one superiorly talented player who as many posters noted was occupying multiple blockers. At some point you need to have talent on the field.
  15. Yes, I knew we were bad when we had a THREE to zero turnover differential late in the 4th quarter against the Bengals, and also had a 75 yard kick return, and somehow were LOSING the football game. That performance was every bit as bad as the saints or jets games disguised by the turnover ratio and the kick return.
  16. The only way you get something for Tyrod is if it's possible to structure a trade where you are going to pick up a lot of the money - maybe agree to pick up his 2018 bonus as part of the trade. Then you can buy a draft pick via the trade. Similar to what Cleveland did with the Osweiller deal except here the team buying the pick would be unloading not receiving. No one is going to trade for Tyrod if it means paying him $16m. He's definitely worth $8-$10 and for that price someone would give up as high as a third or high second for a low range starting / highest echelon backup qb.
  17. The funny thing is that if peterman puts up numbers way better than manning's this whole board will be screaming for his head including me.
  18. Petermans fatal flaw is not his arm strength. It's panicking under pressure.
  19. Its not the deep rainbow ball people are concerned about it's the out pattern to the sideline. You need this throw and you need to take the pick 6 off the table when you throw it.
  20. You usually know right away though Goff was an exception.
  21. From what I saw in preseason I give him 2 games. He has no counter to pressure.
  22. With the beat downs taken the last two weeks and Dareus and Benjamin trades looking dumb (Carolina back to super bowl O) I would say it's long past wearing thin.
  23. I don't think anyone realized how bad peterman is under pressure.
