  1. The prior regime was just getting started in cleaning up the mess of the regime before that.
  2. Why is it every single time we clean house on the defensive side it has to come with a switch between a 3-4 and a 4-3. Stache 600-600 4-3, Pettine 3-4, Schwartz 4-3, Rex 3-4, McDermott 4-3. The talent erosion would not have been nearly this bad if they just limited the house leaning moves to the same general scheme.
  3. Give them 3 games. If they are not 2-1 throw peterman to the fire. The great thing is that we don't have to worry about bringing the guy along too fast. His draft position was too low for that to be a valid concern.
  4. I would say Tyrod but I don't think our coaches know how to use his talents. Roman and A Lynn were ground game gurus. I see fatal flaws with peterman - horrible under pressure and batted balls, weak arm. I see him as having a 5% chance of evolving into a franchise QB. 5% better than zero.
  5. Beginning to remember that this Offense achieved respectability only because of A Lynn. This looks like Greg Roman'a 3 and out Offense of last year.
  6. Why not wait to the trade deadline just to confirm we will suck this year. There may be many playoff teams with rb needs at that time looking to get over the top. This is not like watkins where we had to dump now to maximize trade value.
  7. I have to say it's absolutely stunning that Nate Hacket is the OC. As the QB coach for Bortles is in early years you would think some of the blame would fall on him. Instead he gets promoted.
  8. If he looks like he did the last preseason game you take a 3rd and run. I still think Tyrod has great hidden value if you accommodate your system to fit what he is good at. The way to build around Tyrod is trade away all your offensive skill positions and use that capital to stockpile the D. Get a few cheap unorthodox Wideouts like Stevie a few years ago who make up routes on then fly and turn Tyrod loose with making yards on broken plays. Tyrod can put up 20 pts a game with minimal turnovers no mattter who his skill position players are. Seattle was very successful with a loaded D and a very young russel Wilson who made yards to a large extent on broken plays. Wilson year 1-2 is comparable to the experienced Tyrod.
  9. The Pravda press can be a lot of fun on the rare occasion that the team is performing. It's intolerable otherwise.
  10. Call Stevie. He was the king of the ad hoc route and Tyrod can't lead anyone anyway.
  11. It was disappointing to see kuonjo released no matter what they really though of him. There is enough positive tape on him and with his high pick status that they could have gotten a fifth or sixth particularly as tackles start dropping during camp.
  12. An accomplished college QB should look good against a vanilla preseason D. If the D is testing its exotic pressure schemes the QB play means a little more.
  13. When you want to build a team of high character players you realize quickly there are not enough of them.
  14. Not if culture means you think you can win only with Boy Scouts. The great teams realize you need the talent of many bad people to win.
  15. There is such a microscope on NFL teams and the short term effect of losing is so painful that it's difficult to stay focused and tank a full season. Bills just need to dump TT for a 3rd and sign Curtis Painter so they don't accidentally win more than 2 games.
  16. Watkins is a dynamic playmaker who's talent leaps off the screen. There is no way to quantify that.
  17. I'm not sure anyone has ever played the position as well as Julio is playing it right now. Has the physicality matched only by megaton and better hands.
  18. The scary thing is if we win more than 3 games we may expend the whole war chest on a franchise qb who may have question marks. Need to do the tanking right. 2-14
  19. Yes he looked a notch above the rest of the class. Credit the organization for doing what it had to do to get the player amid the ridicule.
  20. It doesn't make sense that the marriage occurred without this item prenegotiated.
  21. I see chad starting some games in the league this year or next. There will be some positives. But something will go wrong off the field and that will be it. It's a one chance league especially at the QB position.
  22. RJ had a 102 QB rating in 1998. But was sacked in 21.3 percent of drop backs. 21.3! His career sack per drop back percentage of 14.8 is the league's all time worst and it's not close for second place. He singlehandedly demonstrated that the QB rating system is worthless as sacks never impact the rating.
  23. The organization should throw season tix astro's way.
  24. Clay does not compare to a healthy Gronk or Jimmy Graham but he's still a top 10 tight end.
