How Many Preseason Games Should There Be?
Charles Romes replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Without a QB incubator league feeding the NFL you need a long preseason. I like the long preseason and would not mind if it was longer for better player development. I also liked the pro bowl after the Super Bowl as it helped the weaning process. -
Did not look nearly as good as Cardale Jones in preseason.

WR Cam Phillips #5 - UDFA Virginia Tech

4.79 yikes. Just another preseason HOFer. -
Worst Buffalo Bills player of all time

Michael Jasper. Was not a big fan of Kelso or Wright on the super bowl teams. -
Stream Bills games on CBS All Access
Charles Romes replied to nucci's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can stream onto my mobile all games that are being played locally through my cable provider (verizon) and NFL Game Pass by forking over the $100 for NFL Game Pass. Game Pass allows you to watch all preseason games live over the Internet and also any regular season game over the Internet after it's over. -
Playing tonight 6/16 for Montreal at BC CFL late game ESPN2

Chris Berman Due In Buffalo June 5 Fundraiser
Charles Romes replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He should be voted to the Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame. -
It's amazing that a guy that performed at that level - dropping dimes all over the field - on the grandest of stages is not seen as legitimate starter material in the league by anyone. There is just too much history of him going mediocre for extended periods during the regular season. You would think somewhat out there would claim to have plan to consistently get him to play at his peak.

Which Bills Decision Infuriated You?
Charles Romes replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Signing a peerless price to his second stint in buffalo to an above average #2 contract when no one else in the league would even have him in for a workout dumping lynch for spiller maybin pick -
Cribbs could have been in the Hall of Fame if he did not play in the USFL.

This is their answer to the critics who say they are obsessed with measurables. Draft a guy with rotten measurables! -
Rob Johnson is still bitter after 20 years
Charles Romes replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does RJ even know he's the all time NFL leader in sack per drop back percentage - an astonishing 14.8% rate - and that it's not even close for second place. They had to invent a whole new QBR after he single handedly exposed the sack flaw in the standard rating system. -
What was the worst Bills’ trade of all time?
Charles Romes replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have to agree with Lynch and the whole idea of "upgrading" Lynch with Spiller and spending a high first round pick to do it. When he was here I thought Lynch was a complete near generational back. All of the yards he was getting here were completely on his own. His negative yardage plays were minimal and he also had soft hands. Few RBs ran harder in the history of the league. He could elude tacklers and also run over people. He proved himself to be a hall of fame player after he departed. You could also throw in trading Jason Peters for a low first into the mix. He also went on to have a hall of fame career after his departure. -
Conspiracy Theory: About the Bills Schedule
Charles Romes replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with the conspiracy theory. Russ has been great at selling tickets with an average at best team but the guaranteed sellouts always happen at the beginning of the years when people have money and the team is still alive for the playoffs. The games have always tough to sell in Buffalo around the Holidays even for the great 90s teams. The Houston miracle game was not a sellout. The league knows this and the schedule puts a lot of pressure on the organization to win to sell games with no option to tank and increase draft stock. To me it shows disrespect to the Pegulas who did a lot for the league when they purchased the franchise. -
Bruuuuuuce!!!! #2 on all time best #1 picks
Charles Romes replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No matter how often his greatness is acknowledged on this board it is not enough. He brought us great joy for many years watching him dominant. With Watt heading for a short career another dimension of his greatness - durability - is highlighted. Thank you Bruce Smith. -
What would you grade the 2017 draft?

When you draft a starting cornerback and LT without any pick in the top 20 it's no less than an A -

I have a soft spot in the heart for Al Davis for what he did for the AFL and therefore the Bills. -

Mel Kiper's Nightmare Mock 3.0
Charles Romes replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Browns with even a minor amount of competence would not let this happen. Just let Bills and Broncos bid for #4 and the rights to Mayfield, get three seconds from the Broncos or similar to move down one and then draft Barkley at #5. -
I loved that 30 for 30 like interview with Polian where he gave a whole new perspective on Kay Stevenson. Polian said Stevenson and the front office were in a position where they could trade all their picks for short term talent or else faithfully make all of the picks to properly rebuild the franchise and lose their jobs. Polian credited Stevenson for doing the right thing. Polian said Stevenson insisted that the draft selections be made.
