Not a good idea. Because you always get a little Fitztragic mixed in with the Fitzmagic. -

Jim Kelly as OC. Bruce as DC. Tasker as ST coordinator. Bring back Polian and SUPER BOWL! -
im a hater and for the past 4 off seasons i wanted to move on. I still do, but given where we are now the two best coaches/roles in our building are kromer on OL, and McD as a DC. they both have succeeded many times at a high level in those roles. McD has been an overall successful HC, but given that the expectations are a chip, he's not been all the way there. I think right now he's got to really take his stamp and mark the D, either wake babbich up, over see more, or just call plays as needed (he may have done so at the end of the last game for all i know). on O, frankly he has to realize what brady does wrong and actually make him do the right thing. it's not something he's really done before, aside from firing dorsey and promoting brady, but it's what he has to do to make the next step.

I think that is a bit of a cop out to be perfectly honest. I know I am biased. I was a much better coach than I was a player (different sport admittedly) but coaches coach and players play. Once they cross the white line there is an element to which you are powerless. They have to decide and they have to execute. And I honestly don't see that many players lost on offense. Unlike on defense where I do.

Those Wacky, Hilarious Young Republicans!
B-Man replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Just look at the board today, I have posted on the Middle East Peace situation. The government "Shutdown" The Supreme Court debating redistricting Jack Smith updates Media fake news. US bombing drug smugglers Transgenders failing. Voter fraud. And the usual suspects on this board have spent the entire day pushing a Politico story about young republican jackasses spouting foolishness on a chat board. (and when you point out the hypocrisy of their excusing someone actually proposing murder online, they say that you are deflecting ) . -
You know nothing. You post nothing.

Let me make sure I have this straight. A comment about bullying (not cool) somehow attracts more of the attention of Anus Man than a series of messages among young Republican leaders replete with racism and support for Hitler? Even for Anus Man this is a new low. -
The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QB

McDermott has put out multiple top 5 defenses here lol The fact people think it's been 8 years of crap is fantasy not fact He doesn't have the dogs on defense right now -
What senior leadership (if any) does Terry move on from in 2025/26?
TheFunPolice replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall
The more I post about this and think about it, the more I am certain: McDermott is fine. This roster is not great. Beane must go. But he won't. Look for a 1st round DB who McDermott can't stand, a 2nd round DL who McDermott won't dress for games, and a 3rd round LB who McDermott won't play because he's a rookie. But these guys are one mind, right?! -
2023 bernard blew me away, i think that says something about mcd as dc vs the trash bag stuff we've had since. bernard has been hurt too much, and he has been pretty garbage this season. i hope he and the whole d really turn it up, but he and shakir and benford have not been living up to their contracts so far, which i thought were ok to good at the time.

McDermott is a better coach than Sirianni. And it's not even close, IMO. Yet Sirianni has been to 2 Super Bowls and won 1 with Jalen Hurts. Really he should have won both, had Hurts not had that fluke fumble. Allen is worlds better than Hurts (IMO) so what is it? It was KC both Super Bowls. Eagles roster is stacked with talent. Bills roster is stuck in the past resigning guys from 5 years ago because there is no better option. That is 100% the direct result of the GM failing to find players to replace them. Beane needs to be let go at the end of the season unless the team at least gets to the Super Bowl. He got Allen. Aside from that, any competent GM could do no worse in roster management. I bet McDermott's defenses look a lot better with an elite corner and a DE who is a problem for opposing offenses. Beane has tried and tried again and has yet to get this done. I bet McDermott's offense looks a lot better with an elite WR. This is where the GM says "here's Waddle or Olave" and the HC makes it work, because the goal is to win a Super Bowl, not get to the playoffs and be eliminated every year.

I think that Babich should be looked at heavily this D has of the most part been the problem and although Babich was a real good assistant for LB hrs, CB's and such he's not a D coordinator I don't think . Something needs to happen to send quakes through the team to let every one know this kind of play is not expectable . -
The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QB
TBBills Fan replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm concerned about his decision making the last two games and curious as to why he hates throwing left -
i think we can go super jumbo like baltimore did last year. just maul teams up front from time to time, and pass out of it to the tight ends or back, or single WR if they coverage brakes down. brady is creative with odd mixes of people and strange playcalls, but he hasn't found a way to show one look and run lots of different things (that work) out of it.

Survivor Pool Week 7..........who ya got???
strive_for_five_guy replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chiefs here -
Not retaining key role players like Mack Hollins also hurt. The Bills weren’t the most explosive passing team last year, but definitely one of the better ones. Good enough for an MVP season. I feel like Beane could’ve went a better route (no pun intended) if he wanted a distribution system in the WR room. Carefully selected what role players instead of seemingly throwing together a random group of guys that don’t fit together.

Why doesn't McDermott call the Defensive plays full time??
T master replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
He did a much better job I feel when he was calling the D of that season ... -
Josh is not great at the pre snap reads, not all the time anyhow, but to me a huge part of that is simply coaching. He's never had an OC who's had anything approaching actual success on the NFL level without riding his coat tails. the film is out, you can beat the bills O locking down the outside, confusing josh with overloads and such. the solution to this is not for Josh to literally be perfect, it is to have an idea what the D wants to do, and what our O can do to best advantage themselves. this is part of what i see as the fatal flaw of the buffalo bills as they exist today. we do not impose a high degree of difficulty on the opponents O with our d scheme, and we always seem to operate our own O with a super high degree of difficulty. it's just never easy simple plays that we can run whenever we want, like oh i don't know, a TE wide open in the flat like kelce always is, or a freaking screen to a running back like opponents always seem to have success against us with. ironically right now, i think (particularly if mcd takes over d play calling) the d with new infusions of health and talent can really turn a corner. they have sucked outright for chunks of every game but the jets one (doesn't count), but they have also played their own style and really brought the pain for chunks of games as well. if our o can find it's pace, and it has had that many times even since brady was the OC, all we need out of the o is like 4 real hard stops and we can win it all. we need mcd to find a new gear as a HC and to right the ship on O.

Hire Ryan Fitzpatrick as a part time consultant
Ridgewaycynic2013 replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Substandard results call for drastic measures. Not only Ryan Fitzpatrick, I say the Bills hire Ryan, Ryan, and Ryan: Fitz, Wrecks, and Rob. The league won't know what to make of the Bills. And if someone thinks they see through the ruse, just get someone to say "Well, look at Pegula's hockey team!"
