I think you have things a bit backwards or are thinking back too much to last year. The Bills are currently 10th in receiving yards and tied for 6th in receiving TDs. They are 3rd in 20+-yard passing plays. It's not as bad as some of you guys think. Our offense has been very good except for the 2nd quarter of the Saints game and the first half vs. the Pats. The Bills defense is currently 2nd in the league against the pass (yes, some of that has to do with our poor rush defense, but I don't think you can totally discount a 2nd-place ranking). The Bills are 9th in the league in yards allowed/14th in points allowed. The problem thus far has been the run defense, not the pass defense. And as far as the pass rush, the Bills are tied for 5th in sacks (though there are ties in front of us as well, basically, 8 teams have more sacks than the Bills). The Bills are currently 2nd in QB hurries, 3rd in QB pressures, and 2nd in QB pressure percentage. So, I'm not sure what games you are watching if you think our pass rush has been "missing". And yes, the secondary is still a bit rough. But Cole is improving each week and Hairston will be back (and hopefully ready to take over). Benford and Johnson are both very good players, and Rapp is at least solid. As far as fixing the run defense, we have Oliver, Hoect, and Ogunjobi coming back and the young guys should get at least marginally better as the year progresses (Walker, Sanders, Jackson). And let Kraft, Diggs, and the Pats fans gloat. They won the battle, but they will lose the war. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. We have loftier goals than beating a division rival in week 5.

It's really made me realize how many folks there are here that I would kick out of a foxhole.

We only lost because of careless turnovers to the tune of 3-1. So, no disrespect, but unless your justifiable frustration was over turning the ball over too much, not sure what justifiable frustrations manifested in this loss.

Seems like a bit too much panic right now
Dick_Cheney replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I disagree. There should be more panic, and we should have already made a trade. After we lose to the Falcons, this will be even more evident. -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
NoSaint replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I suspect the patriots data team has more experience monitoring that and had the 4 second threshold set based on data and not whimsy tnat said, he’s injured fewer teammates too whats the net gain/loss on him being a little softer but us being healthier? -
Likely because the farm team plays in Buffalo. I've followed Bichette and Guererro from Buffalo to Toronto. NYC does not represent Western NY.

alongside that I think plenty of folks see a highlight reel and catch weird comments theres a world where a Carolina fan woke up to see Coleman stats post-Baltimore, heard him referred to effusively early in the Miami game as a stud game changing weapon and then saw he scored a TD this week and probably thinks he’s much better than he is watching a single team for 60 mins every week gives a whole different view than casually keeping up from afar that said though many of us do follow our in market teams pretty closely and get more of those perspectives

Truth the 20 and 0 crowd now the 19 and 1 crowd doesn't want to hear there are concerns but looking at the afc everyone has concerns

Yeah, that was sort of my thought, too. It's a good thing the killing has stopped. For sure, and Trump deserves credit for that. But it's kind of like settling an old matrimonial case as a lawyer. You don't get too much credit for it, because that type of settlement comes when the parties have run out of money and can't fight anymore. That's sort of where we're at here. There's not much left to destroy. The real accomplishment would have been solving the problem sooner.

Can’t blame the refs when you turn it over 3 times. This is pretty damning though, and it’s not just Hochuli. Bills have been called for the most holds in the NFL and are tied for the fewest holds against their opponents. 13 to 1.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
The Jokeman replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll admit Tre has been disappointing this season. But you know what he's making $2.8 million. Meanwhile the Chiefs signed Khristian Fulton for $7 million this season and he's produced 1 tackle in two games this season. Another guy that some clamored we get is Asante Samuel II who still not signed. I'm just curious that all clamored for Beane being a bad GM think of Veach's miss? -
Bring back Douglas and Cooper?
HamptonBillsfan replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
The reason I mentioned the record is that along with wins the offense scored average over 30 first 4 games. Remember the receivers have been effective in getting needed 1st downs in drives that resulted in points. Kincaid is becoming a prime target, with Shakir as a guy that gets open when Josh is flushed. Our attack is run dependent with Cook and Josh making stategic runs in big situations. I think Coleman will contribute on back shoulder mismatches and 50/50 balls. Palmer is a good receiver if he plays like he did with Herbert. The weakness of the team is in the secondary and now with Milano iffy, can we stop good running attacks, I have to think Oliver will help if healthy. Looking forward to seeing Hoecht and Ogunjobi. -
Seems as though some fans can be rather twatesque when responding to disappointment. It’s a long season. Please take a few deep breaths and try to recompose. …. You’re welcome

For all you McDermott haters, who would you want? (Now a poll)
Lionel Hutz replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly, at this point I'd even take a chance with Belichick because: 1. He wouldn't be any worse than McD and he's an actual defensive-minded coach. 2. He has a gigantic chip on his shoulder and is desperate to prove he can win without Brady. -
me watching Josh in a dome.

Beans and Sean - Should we miss the SB again
Doc Brown replied to Cubanmist 1's topic in The Stadium Wall
You couldn't do any worse. It's why I'd be a terrible owner. I wouldn't have left McDermott take the plane back after 13 seconds as heated as I was. -
The holds the Bills OL are getting are beyond ridiculous. Hands in tight, D flopping. I thought the holds in the first half forced the Bills into so many long down and distances it changed the game entirely. Meanwhile zero on the Pats inexperienced OL many of which we could see were worse. Much like the turnovers had to come back to the middle, hopefully this to will happen. The pan shot to Bob Kraft in OP and not Pegula was puzzling at best. Certainly aligned with the calls being one sided. Having said all that, the Bills didn’t play well. Josh missed a wide open Samuel with a great opportunity to go ahead and kill the clock.

Bring back Douglas and Cooper?
Low Positive replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yesterday, this place went into full meltdown because the Bills brought Spector back to the Practice Squad. We got a long "fire Beane" thread on "why do they bring back their old players." The next day, you bump an old thread asking Beane to bring back old players. Nice one. -
They don’t meet again until December. That’s a long time for a 3 point division loss to linger.

Seems like a bit too much panic right now
Low Positive replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with all that. No one on here talked about it because we're a bunch of old men, but my son told me that the new "mature" Diggs went live on IG after the game to gloat. Pats coaches stopped him after a few seconds, but he's still the same petty dude. -
So watching the regular season with the league MVP at QB is nauseating unless there is zero competition from within the AFCE ? If you’re worried about the Patriots in the AFC then this team is really just a marginal WC contender.
