  1. Past hour
  2. what?!!! What happened?
  3. My gut reaction to this thread was that given the injuries, the team's 4-0 start and the actual solid performance in the passing game defense, that there is no way Babich on the hot seat. However, I then thought of our old friend Ken Dorsey. Dorsey was fired after week 10 and a 5-5 start by the Bills. The 2023 Bills started 3-1 with the lone loss in OT to the Jets week 1. However, the offense sputtered over the next 6 weeks averaging only 20.5 pts a week. Brady took over and the team won 6 of the next 7 games and won the division. So given the poor rush defense and poor tackling, would McBeane make a DC change despite a 4-0 start? As discussed earlier, much of the rushing yards against (180 - 170 of the yards to mobile QBs Rattler, Fields, Jackson) to mobile QBs. Ultimately, I think Babich's seat will only get hot if the Bills start to lose and with an offense scoring 30+ a game, I don't see that happening.
  4. Well said, that’s how the board should work. In the end his success or failure will be determined by the team overcoming injuries and improving as the season wears on. I’m also not saying your argument is not correct because I have thought to myself players have not been coached up effectively ( Rousseau, Bishop, Epenesa, Williams,) or replaced if necessary.
  5. Guess we’ve been lucky with kickers until now.
  6. I personally prefer wishlatersky. But I guess this will do
  7. Shedeur got passed over by every team multiple times for a reason, and that reason was not some conspiracy to make an example out of him. He's 3rd on the depth chart in Cleveland for a reason. He can say what he wants. It's a free country. Just like Rex can say what he wants. It's a free country. Momma Sanders can say what she wants. It's a free country. Then you have people who will pick a side and carry that flag with them, no matter what side they are on. Finally, you have the people who don't care. They don't care what Shedeur said. They don't care what Rex said. They don't care what momma Sanders said. That would be me. I don't care.
  8. I'm wishy-washy on this signing
  9. goose stepping comes next. And more multi million dollar military parades which almost no one attends. Perhaps it will become a requirement.
  10. yeah, this dude is made up!
  11. As usual….but Biden…. Maga is so weak and show me where I said anything at all about Biden….let alone anything good
  12. Yeah, the post was just meant as confirmation.
  13. Sounds like you should be a professor at Cor-not University!
  14. Nothing wrong with having that opinion. To see you get wound up over a common adage is hilarious and completely on-brand for you. More please!
  15. Wish Now Sky? That can't be a real name. That's a Disney song
  16. To be above average in red zone conversion rate and 3rd down conversion rate. Currently we rank 21st (63.64%) and 25th (42.00%) respectively in those metrics. Given the level of experience in the defensive coaching staff and the quantity of investments, I think it's reasonable to expect something like 50% and 35% respectively. Especially if our defense is designed to be bend don't break and intentionally allow rushing yards to defend against the big play. In a vacuum I'm fine with that philosophy but it needs to be complemented by strong situational defense. The timely turnovers are the one saving grace, I'll give them that.
  17. Want Zach davidson
  18. She should torture Rex by sending some pictures of her feet
  19. I am at work and did read the entire thread but NOLA was not a good effort. But too many men on the field twice, two few men on the field, and at least 1/2 dozen plays where guys were moving all around, waving their arms, pointing this way and that in total confusion. Plus, just ugly defense. Not good, Bob.
  20. Seem to have a thing for Aussie punters.
  21. Yards per game is a relevant statistic, but it hides that their run defense is 31st with 164.3 yards allowed per game. Until Buffalo proves they can stop the run, teams aren't gonna be throwing it as much. And that's what inflates their yards allowed per game standing. But I do agree that #1 is a big problem. The GM's forays into UFA generally leave a lot to be desired while burning valuable cap. As to 2...I think it's time to note that injuries at LB and DT are a common theme going back a few years. They've attempted to mitigate this by signing more depth at the positions, but it'll never go away because those LBs need to cover in that scheme, but with a vulnerability to the run, teams are gonna run it more. And that means more tackling and the potential for injury to LBs especially. And 3...Babich has been here coaching defense for 8 seasons now under McD. You'd expect he doesn't need the HC holding his hand more given that experience. It's definitely a hot seat level right now considering he's not a newbie.
  22. Hopefully he stays a while. Would love to see consistency at the position. Had high hopes for Bill Burr
  23. The NFL wanted him to be the next star and turned their head until enough media people, fans, coaches, etc talked about it. Now they are actually calling it like it happens and he acts like its some conspiracy. Overrated from day 1. Love that he is part of the Jets wheel of mediocrity.
