What Does "Due Process" Mean?
The Frankish Reich replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I don't know where Stephen Miller got his law degree,* but the constitutional guarantee of due process has never been limited to citizens facing criminal charges. That's why the U.S. government can't deprive someone - anyone - of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Life. Liberty. Even property. It's kind of right there in the 5th Amendment. *Trick question: he doesn't have one. -
Yeah, I mean imagine if instead of being useless detriments to the offense in that championship game they were difference makers instead. They would likely have won by multiple scores instead of that whimpering finish where they turned the ball over on downs the last two possessions. That's really the primary semi-realistic hope for positive change for the team when it comes to getting thru the AFC playoffs for once and hopefully winning a SB. Thinking their free agent signings bounce back from the disappointing seasons they all had in 2024 is probably false hope given the track record of free agent signing in the NFL as a whole. Expecting this years draft picks to make a significant impact is generally A LOT to ask. Coleman, Bishop and Carter from last year are prime examples. No help to the team at all down the stretch or in the playoffs. But second and third year first round picks who have shown real glimpses of talent are where you can realistically hope to gain the most.

I don't know, Kay, because while Iran was potentially compliant during v1.0, they clearly were not compliant after being compliant. In addition, it seems logical to question the arbiters of compliance, given Iran's wax on/wax off approach rot being good international citizens. It seems more likely to me that they are playing a big game, moving forward with the intent to secure nuclear capability. Ah, so you were not talking at all about the US government/intelligence apparatus covertly encouraging regime change. It seems to me that a fundamentalist regime like Iran would not be comfortable as all with allowing the Tok (et al) and western decadence into the homeland. CKA shows way too much skin for the average extremist, I would think, and they view that as a whorish non-negotiable and far beyond the pale. Maybe, though. As to Israel, you've beaten that drum loudly and clearly, and at some point to me you cross from sensible citizen of the world to...well, to something I'm not interested in debating.

Everybody can say what they want about Cam Newton The dresses weird he's a clown etc But he absolutely has a friendly high energy personality.. he was always known as a terrific teammate to his own guys His charity has given over 5 million dollars to schools He's been Carolina Panthers Walter Payton recipient He holds football camps for kids through high schoolers He's not out there beating up his wife or kids.. he's not out there driving 115 miles an hour crashing and killing people.. not drinking and driving... Cam Newton is a legend in Charlotte and changed plenty of kids lives.. that alone makes me not dislike him

Not since O.J. have we had a pitchman this powerful.
-
There’s about 100,00,000 that would disagree with you. My wife even thinks he’s hot. I told her whatever floats your boat. She doesn’t even like football as she’s chinese, but loves watching my Bills games as she loves Josh.

They have also kept 7 a couple of times though.

Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?

He seems to be clogging the pipeline of wide receiver talent flow. -

Fast, on a rough road riding High, through the mountains climbing Twisting, turning further from my home Young, like a new moon rising Fierce, through the rain and lightning Wandering out into this great unknown And I don't want no one to cry But, tell them if I don't survive I was born free! I was born free! I was born free, born free

The Bills often only keep 5.

4th time, no? Traded for KB, tried to trade for Diggs midseason, tried to trade for Sanders midseason, traded for Cooper midseason. Not to mention bring back Beasley and Brown in the dog days of 2022. In 8 seasons, Beane has chased the “midseason WR acquisition” at least 50% of the time.

No, not helpful. I also don’t believe he is a racist. That’s such an easy word for people, mostly liberals, to throw around. The pinheaded Roundybout believes that a full 50% of the people he encounters on a daily basis are racists. What I believe Trump is, is a provocateur with no self control. If there’s a pot to stir, he’s the first one on it. I will leave the accusations of racism to those that are so comfortable making them.

How many wins do the Bills get without Josh?
FireChans replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Friendly reminder they play more games now and the 2020 offense scored more PPG than the 2024 team. I personally think you overrating the Bills WRs and weapons in particular. James Cook is very good. Ty Johnson has some niche skills. Our “above average” tight end grouping has probably the worst contract on the Bills in Dawson Knox (a guy they recently almost cut outright). Hopefully, we never find out, but personally I think in a “contender off” with the Chiefs, Eagles, Niners, Lions, Rams, Ravens, we comfortably have the weakest roster outside of QB. And it certain comps, it’s not really even close. -
We need to implement a vetting process for discussing clickbait articles that lack relevant information. Unless you are sharing a purely opinion-based post, you should provide a reference link. There are already numerous threads discussing our needs, or lack thereof, at WR.

Alexander can get in your head and has an aspect to his game White doesn't. White has a higher ceiling right now but a much lower floor. Alexander will be the better signing of the two.
-
I dont disagree.
