Not a word salad at all. It's been going on for decades and occasionally flares up. No US dog in the fight unless they get stupid and escalate.

At least when they cut him we can say "Mighty Casey had struck out" -

Perhaps this is why he hasn't ended either of the wars he promised to... https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-has-skipped-out-on-all-but-12-of-his-daily-intelligence-briefings/ar-AA1EvC6C -

For the click averse: "A couple of Bills rookie minicamp observations: - WR Kaden Prather had a great day. Really solid routes. Got open and made some impressive catches - DE Landon Jackson is a massive dude. Has a presence! - “Blocking TE” Jackson Hawes was catching passes everywhere - Really impressed by quick-twitch/change of direction from CB Max Hairston - CB Dorian Strong physically certainly looks the part of an outside NFL CB." The microphone was picking up a lot of wind noise too. Beat me to it... we need to get @boyst to size him up! From another topic... gonna drop this here...

Other player we may be overlooking is UDFA SS Wande Owens - listed as from U of New Hampshire, but played at Yale so one would expect a pretty intelligent player, which we know McD likes. 9.59 RAS, 5'11 212 - so thicker than your typical DB - 4.58 40 and has a lot of explosion - vertical and long jump are 9.9+ RAS grades. FWIW

Pope Francis
Joe Ferguson forever replied to Joe Ferguson forever's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Laura loomer vs Pope Leo https://archive.is/LM7zQ Laura Loomer, a far-right activist who holds significant sway with Mr. Trump, wrote Thursday on social media that Leo’s style would be similar to that of his predecessor, Pope Francis, whom she described as “anti-Trump, anti-MAGA, pro-open Borders, and a total Marxist.” “Catholics don’t have anything good to look forward to,” she wrote. “Just another Marxist puppet in the Vatican.” And on Friday, guests on Steve Bannon’s popular right-wing “War Room” podcast piled on, casting Leo as a progressive figure and a continuation of Francis, an outspoken voice for migrants who was often at odds with Mr. Trump. Mr. Bannon, one of the president’s top allies, told the BBC that the selection was “kind of jaw-dropping,” adding that there was “definitely going to be friction” between the new pope and Mr. Trump. -
It sounds right, but comes across ambiguous, given U.S. actions elsewhere.

It sounds like the most honest and reasonable answer a high ranking American official can give. You’re confusing political posturing— something we all know happens, with governance and leadership. What specifically did you find idiotic about what Vance offered here?
-
Same here, the first 3 picks for sure look like they’ll contribute right away
-
omg this is awesome lol

I think this guy is cooked. Really hard seeing another team enduring the media headache over a kicker…
-
I think so too, certainly wont be elite anyways

Of course that's what you thought, because that's how the media spin it. The full comments tell a completely different story. "Well look, we’re concerned about any time nuclear powers collide and have a major conflict. What we’ve said, what Secretary Rubio has said, and certainly what the President has said is, we want this thing to deescalate as quickly as possible," Vance told Fox News’ Martha McCallum on "The Story" Thursday. "We can’t control these countries though, fundamentally, India has its gripes with Pakistan. Pakistan has responded to India. What we can do is encourage these folks to deescalate a little bit, but we're not going to get involved in the middle of a war that's fundamentally none of our business and has nothing to do with America's ability to control it."

That's it, that's his nickname. So let it be written, so let it be done.

more trump and miller crapping on the Constitution and rights. These rights go back to the Magna Carta. F'in barbarians with no respect for American history or the Constitution. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/05/09/trump-deportation-habeas-corpus-miller.html “No man shall be arrested or imprisoned...except by the lawful judgment of his peers and by the law of the land,” a provision in the Magna Carta, signed by King John in the early 13th Century, says. The U.S. Constitution, in Article 1, section 9, says, “The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.”

I don’t think his size matters really. If he’s staying on the lighter side perhaps that means he’s emphasizing the receiving portion of his game. Didn’t lamar jackson and tua do this last year?

we should limit ourselves to one retread pass rusher per year

You are misreading his comments, Mediating by the US is NOT the same as picking sides, sending billions, or sending equipment. .
