  1. Past hour
  2. Man, are these guys having fun or what? Spencer Brown — another player many “knowledgeable” fans wanted to run out of here. Hilarious. Go Bills!
  3. He may get a look...but I think he takes himself out of the running for a lot of teams. IIRC, he's from the Philadelphia area. He wanted to go back to be closer to family. He's getting up there in age and is at a point where spending time with family can supercede coaching aspirations. It wouldn't shock me if he has a very small list of teams he would even consider coaching for.
  4. My thoughts exactly. If there’s one thing you can say for this organization it’s usually they do make some effort to keep the drama in house
  5. I think Coleman is better than he's shown but if we're winning without him (one game I know, I know) I don't really think he needs to come back any time soon.
  6. Happy birthday old friend. Not that YOUR old...I mean we have been friends for a long time. I didn't mean to imply YOURE old because you're not, I was just trying....ah forget it. Happy birthday my friend!
  7. I expect Vic to get a look this offseason for HC gigs
  8. "Let me tell you something, man. This play sheet right here? I really like this thing, man. See these? Words, man. *aggressively taps the playsheet* you just say the words. Lookie here: Triple-YX-banana-71-Alpha-left-split-post-54-Charmander-slot-omega; on one" *Scribbles incoherent play diagram on whiteboard* "Easy peesie, man" How close was I?
  9. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy that when a guy gets drafted as high as Coleman( 1st rd if you factor the trade down) management will sacrifice the success of the position group to force development of the pick. Our offense became run first with short receiver screens or check downs because our primary wideout couldn’t get open or nonchalanted his route and didn’t even bother to sell it. It took 10 games and Josh looking frustrated and ineffective to realize Coleman was a huge problem. Now, with the a realistic group( still lacking a true #1 or #2) giving Josh opportunities downfield and open receivers, we’re looking formidable. Sadly, this is the biggest indictment of a defensive/ST HC. He knew how undeveloped and mentally checked out Coleman was way before this but allowed team confidence to diminish rather than pull the trigger on replacing him. If we’re going to be successful Brady has to take charge of personnel similar to what Dabol did. Brady did a 180 in his play calling when Sean finally sat Coleman.
  10. Good to see that no matter what happened between him and the Raiders he still goes to the barber with Mark Davis.
  11. The fact that I think Sirianni is a net negative and if you move on don't hire Vic he might walk as DC....
  12. But they tend to play well against the better teams. And that was my point - they are a team consistently at the bottom of the standings. They shouldn’t ever be thinking they can take a night off. But they seem to pretty consistently play up or down to their competition. They just played probably their best game of the year against Edmonton the game before this. Totally shut McDavid and Draisaitl down. Then they follow it up with one of their worst performances of the year against the current last place team in the NHL.
  13. I’m not sure what the point of that would be. imo, it’s no guarantee that Vic gets another HC opportunity. He’s kind of in that Spags zone. If it looks like he is gonna get poached, you can pull that lever then. But there’s no guarantee that Vic is as successful as de facto DC and HC. Sirianni is kind of a perfect figurehead for now. The next good OC should not be let out of the building.
  14. I’ve gotta hand it to you. I can honestly say that I’ve never discussed Eagles football one time (either lengthy or briefly) at an event with anyone. 😉
  15. Easy... If only they could stop the run.
  16. The coaching is bad in Philly. Especially on offense. It's pretty clear now - give Hurts a good OC - Steichen or Moore and he looks good. Without them he looks meh. Sirianni doesn't move the needle at all. That Superbowl win was Howie, Vic and Kellen. I do wonder if there is a point at which Howie just says "let's make Vic Head Coach"?
  17. Yeah so all you need is two all pro wide receivers and two all pro edge rushers. 😅
  18. N = N + 1 syndrome. Go Bills !!!
  19. Sometimes I wonder if Brady's is written on a napkin? 1. Run 2 Run 3. Run 4. Touche push 5.Pass to someone whos open 6. Lateral slant pass 7. If nobody is open, QB runs. 8. See #1
  20. Random thought that's been rolling around in the NFL part of my brain. I wonder if the Bills are mulling over whether to accept that Josh is going to have a short, brilliant career as a multi-threat QB. Or whether they'll keep him in the pocket and try to morph him into a "Dice them up with football IQ" type guy who plays until he's 38-40. My heart wants them to cut him loose and let him play however he wants, knowing he may well be toast by 32 or 33. My head says our window is his career, so his career should be as long as they can make it.
  21. PFF lol. Gothca, thanks. I like Rankins, he is a good penetration style DT. Calling him elite is an absolute stretch by anyone's definition.
  22. This is a fantastic post. A huge reason for my disdain of the Keon pick is this. Why are we so concerned with finding a guy that is good when covered?!? How about we find a guy that avoids getting covered?!? The best WR years in Bills history belong to Diggs. He was/is elite as a route runner. Give me guys that get open over guys that make 50/50 balls 58/42 balls.
  23. Play calls from 'back in the day' Lew, go to the maple tree and do a button hook. Hike on 3
  24. I would take that SB trophy and their brick wall defense who made the Detroit Lions look like a poor mans New Orleans Saints last weekend.
  25. That's because everyone runs the ball against us all the time.
