It didn’t make any sense. Josh took the biggest leap and had the best rapport with smaller, speedy guys (John Brown) or quick space finders (Beasley). He did WORSE when we tried to give him Kelvin Benjamin. Yeah, apparently the “no Bills discussion” rule in the SNF thread includes bringing up the weird Bills/Texans WC 2019 referee debacle.

If the Bills job opened up it would be one of the most attractive jobs to come to because of #17. Pegula would have his choice of top GM's and HC's wanting to work for him. This isn't the Jets where top candidates will avoid that job like the plague.
-
I’m not sure Josh is wired like that. The first step, imo would be holding their feet to the fire. Basically, calling shots in terms of players and coaches. I said it in another thread but he could go into LeBron territory. FWIW, I don’t think that would be a bad thing. He will demand change before he demands a trade IMO.

The problem, as I see it, is Pegula.

Did we already miss the window with Josh
BuffaloBaumer replied to BritishBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The rest of the AFC is only getting better while the bills are regressing. So yes, the window has been ***** and it is very unlikely to open again with this roster and coaching. I have no doubt in my mind that the best version of Josh Allen is behind him. -
One more week of, "it's hard to win in this league......we need to play complimentary football.......blah, blah, blah". For 9 years, we've heard this every week........9 years!!! Enough is enough already. 13 seconds should have been the moment that McD was let go. It would have been the perfect opportunity for our FO to let him walk and save a little face doing it, but we saw the biggest meltdown of all time on the field and our FO decided that maybe it can't get any worse...........it can and it will.

Not if we can’t pick up a blitz -
We will never win a Super Bowl with Joe Brady
tigerthelion replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is Brady now, it is Babich now.....then it will be the guys who replace them who are at fault.... while the one constant in all of this will still be hanging around in five years mumbling something about complementary football. -
Is Joe Brady the main issue on offense?
Not at the table Karlos replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that was more on Beane not getting quality weapons and having to spread it around. -
Did we already miss the window with Josh

Could be. Hard to say until more of the starting roster is actually on the damn field and playing. -
This is my biggest Bills fan fear

Was DaQuan Jones injured in pregame Warm up?
Fixxxer replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
injuries happen -
Nobody is eating right now except the offenses & defenses playing against the Bills.

This ... how long before Josh tires of all of it and demands a trade to the Rams to replace Stafford ?

A Few Thoughts about the Falcons Game - Community Edition
GaryPinC replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
We're 9 years in. He needed to do start doing targeted overhauls of our scouting system at least 3 years ago. Particularly D line, LB and receiver. Ironically, he finally hit on one with Walker. If only we could clone and implant Shakir's brain in him! -

I cannot come up with an argument against above. -
Need to go back and use "k.i.s.s. approach. Run the ball. Pound the rock. Feed cook etc... Babich needs to go. Said it before coleman was a mistake.

Go on record... Fire McDermott?
Not at the table Karlos replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve been on record that he needs to go. Problem is I do not trust Pegula to hire the right people. -
We have to adjust to the reality that this is not a Super Bowl team and wont become one with the sorts of minor tweaks that will be hailed as major innovation by our anachronistic coach and GM. We did OK around here for a long time with middling expectations. An ahistorical few years left us thinking big, but reality always finds its way back to the front. Beane and McDermott have been given far too much leeway and this team is the result of that. I’d feel better if Josh or Dawkins called a players only meeting and held each other to account because McD is incapable of enforcing any kind of discipline. It’s a bad product and hard to watch.

Was DaQuan Jones injured in pregame Warm up?
dickleyjones replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did you really post this seriously? If so, this is the most embarrassing thing for you ever and how exactly does that happen? -
I think the secondary having like 5 pass break ups in 6 games is the much bigger elephant in the room. His playcalling wasn’t good, but the defense gave up 300+ yards in a half. This is all on our HC.
-
He should have been fired after 13 seconds.
-
Fair. It’s a little chicken and egg to me. Was that his idea or was it his response to a garbage WR room?

So Beane traded back twice to teams drafting better receiver options ahead of us so he could select a receiver that doesn't have the capacity to master the understanding of the position at the NFL level. That's a serious indictment of the GM's capacity to master the GM position at the NFL level than it is on Coleman.
