OK, I’m starting to feel badly that nobody would take, or admit to taking, a look. I clicked. My iPad did not melt, I did not go blind, and YES, most of you would. There, I broke the ice.

Beans and Sean - Should we miss the SB again

Might not be your best decision Doc😜 -
Time for “everybody eats” to be replaced with “who’s hot and who’s not”.
-
Its time for the new "Some people eat, some of the time!" offense.

Not in the media yet but Trump was just holding a round table to discuss Antifa when Mark Rubio walked in and handed him a note. Trump said it was to inform him he was needed shortly as they were near an agreement on Mideast peace. He didn't say Gaza but that must be what it's about I would think. Anyway, he took a couple more questions from the media then left with Rubio .

Like I said, it wasn’t so much that Cooper put up great numbers but his presence opened up the field for the rest of the receivers. Would have been nice to get more production from him too, but I don’t think we’d have made the AFCCG without that trade I really believe that
-
Anyone who thinks Cooper was the reason for improvement --- did you watch the games? Josh was playing at an MVP caliber, obviously, and we were getting solid production from our RBs (especially Ty) in pass game. Cooper was a decoy who was already over the hill, hence his retirement this offseason. Brady has better/healthier weapons right now...and we are struggling, against Saints at times and Pats, because hes become more predictable and Josh just isnt playing at his top level yet. Same as LY, Josh turned it on 2nd half- hopefully we see the offensive rhythm improve, because weve been very inconsistent 2 weeks in a row, possibly 3 dating back to Miami.

The Colts and the Lions look like the two best teams in the NFL right now and it's not with dominant defense, it's with offenses that are steamrolling their opponents and running up the score. They've made their defenses practically irrelevant. I think it is still possible to build a dominant defense, just look at the Browns, it's just a lot harder in the modern NFL. And this regime has never been close to having a dominant defense. Even in the Leslie Frazier years when we ranked top 5 in a lot of the relevant statistics we laid down and died in the playoffs on an annual basis. So I just never had any faith that this regime was going to invest their way into a dominant defense. They chose to lean into the one thing that they've never gotten right, instead of the one thing that they nailed.

McDaniel on very thin ice with Dolphins owner
BillsShredder83 replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd say you might be able to get an interim guy to cooperate on making sure you don't screw up your draft positioning! ... but honestly those dudes almost always end up fired too. trying to remember the last guy promoted to interim, who got the reigns the next year??? any of these guys active today get their HC job that way? I know coordinators do a decent amount, IF, HC is staying on -
Because we’re a run heavy team with two great blocking TEs in Hawes and Knox. Shakir and Kincaid have played 77% and 61% of the passing snaps respectively. I’d like to see Kincaid’s number tick up but it’s not as bad as the total snap counts make it seem.

Bring back Douglas and Cooper?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Forum needs a scapegoat. It was Bishop before. Now it’s White. The issue is much more complex IMO -
I will say, I think the Bills are built to be a TE focused team and Kincaid should start to see those snap counts rise. I hope.

Yep, this was up thread somewhere. Agree, Keon is still super young, learning. He can handle the constructive criticism...coaches have high standards, because the potential is there. And yes, anything across middle of field Short- crosses, intermediate - digs, deep-post (which i swear haven't seen many lost routes out of Brady). Speaking of Brady, I dont like his passing concepts from this past week. Kincaid, Shakir and Keon should be hogging more targets each week. Keon isnt being used where I think hes best, and thats out of the slot/more middle of the field. We dont have great WRs, but they can be utilized better.
-
You mean “when”…

Keons numbers are fairly comparable to those drafted behind him. The Bills had the first pick in the second round, a coveted draft spot. Beane traded with Carolina, trading 32 for 33 and a 4th. Beane fielded many trade offers. Cooper was on the board, a run on WR, it was basically the first pick of a new draft. So I am sure the offers were substantial. I would like to know what Beane turned down, because he should have accepted the best offer. Trade back- there is a good chance Coleman is still available. One trick Ponies usually don’t do well in NFL. Draft night I wanted Cooper or Ladd, but I wanted a trade back most of all, because of loaded up on draft picks in that draft and the next years. Instead we got a slow WR that struggles to win 50/50 balls

Maye hype is over the top this week, and the renewed questioning of Allen is surprising. Like, one bad game, which was actually pretty good? I would love to see how Maye would have done against the Pats defense, and how Josh would have done against the Bills.

More jet sweep / end arounds to Knox...
-
Am I the only one out here that thinks Cooper was a bust??? I feel like the only reason most dont b*tch about him is that he only cost us 800K. He didnt look like he was interested in playing football, and while he did have a couple of great catches, he added very little imo.

This idea that the Bills dont care if the opposition knows what they are going to do and they are going to out execute them is starting to wear thin.

All 22 Review: Bills vs Patriots
thenorthremembers replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is exact right. I get wanting to reload on defense, but the average point output in the NFL last week was 24. Unless you thought your free agents' pickups and draft picks were going to make you the 2000 Ravens, there was no excuse not to have a #1 wideout going into the season. You should be coming to the stadium expecting that your defense will give up 21 points. The only way to offset that is to score more. The most important positions in the NFL are QB, LT, DE1, CB1, WR, and RT. The Bills have spared no cost in either free agent money or draft resources trying to find the DE1, they need to start putting that energy is finding an elite wideout for Josh. -
All 22 Review: Bills vs Patriots
GunnerBill replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
Possibly. At this stage I am more inclined to just put it down to a bad day. He definitely did not call the game to maximise our advantages. Which were definitely middle of the field vs those linebackers. And when we did we marched down the field. It bears watching for a pattern, sure, but I just think he called a poor game Sunday. When he has done that previously he has always bounced back the next week. I expect the Bills to have a really good offensive display on Monday. -
Bills weaknesses have been exposed. Not to parrot what others say, It was stupid of coaches to not keep throwing to Dalton until it didn't work anymore. Also one final thing about that game, I find it very hard to believe that the nfl isn't steering the outcomes of some games.
