  1. Past hour
  2. sup KAY! summer is upon us and the socal natives are restless for pool season. It is most likely there you will find me soon enough and NOT here kiss and make up u 2 don't make me get the hose *breaks out laughing*
  3. My son's mother in law kept saying it was a beautiful fall day. I had to be gracious and agree.
  4. Trump is probably the only President I believe can negotiate complex peace deals. Im not sure why those that hate him can’t acknowledge the relative global calm in comparison to other Presidents that we had under Trump 45. Russia invaded Ukraine before and after him.. not really during his tenure. He negotiated the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which Biden mangled in the execution of.. he killed terror leaders without much retaliation and his admin negotiated the Abraham Accords, which will likely be expanded upon during 47. India/Pakistan was about to pop off.. until it didn’t. Id honestly be surprised if he doesn’t negotiate a new Iran deal and the end of the Ukraine/Russia war in the next year or two.
  5. I hate that they don't take it out of the individual's stat line anywhere, or ever account for it in fantasy football (i'm sure some do, just not common in this circle). Completion percentage - doesn't factor in the plays where you didn't complete the ball, and got sacked. Yards passing or rushing (they include it in rushing stats in college) don't factor it in either. Strouds stats for example last year compared to a sack reduced yardage total, and including it as an "incompletion".
  6. Douglas was HORRIBLE last year. One of the worst starting corners in football. I'm not at all shocked he remains unsigned.
  7. As far as Morris it is a nice depth signing for the Jags, he is what he is at this stage of his career (a high quality TE3) and each roster spot holds value. I think the Bills just moved on from Morris because he had limited upside. 4 years in he never developed beyond what he was. I would have liked for the Bills to have brought him back but give the volume of draft picks they had it was easy to pencil one in for a TE in round 5-6.
  8. Thank you @Doc Brown for explaining it to @Richard Noggin. The FACT is that they aren't generating the yardage thru the air that they should be with one of the top 3 QB's in the NFL. The rankings I gave you are all prior to removing sack yardage. Are you under the impression that the Bills receivers are why Allen is avoiding sacks? Because they aren't. The Bills signature passing play is Allen going thru all of his reads, not being satisfied with the choices, and then scrambling right and throwing the ball on the run about 5+ seconds after the snap. Being able to play off schedule like that is a blessing but it's not a great long term strategy. And as Allen approaches 30 you want to see LESS of those plays each year. Instead, we see MORE. All of Allen's biggest hits taken in 2024 were on those plays. Ravens concussion, Texans concussion and huge hits against Rams and Lions.
  9. Thus was already known when the season ended and we knew thr opponents were.
  10. Yeah, what a jerk. Who wouldn't want to be flying in a plane with technology from 40 years ago? Meanwhile most libs don't want to keep their cell phones for more than a year or two...
  11. Tariffs haven’t hit yet because inventories increased in anticipation of the new taxes. Once those inventories sell off we’ll see what happens. We’re still looking at a 30% sales tax on Chinese imports, which, based on WalMart’s reporting, is likely to slow purchasing and increase prices.
  12. Kind of sad that if we do have another successful season the Ralph will likely be closed out with third stringers playing. Good problem to have though…
  13. Douglas in 2024 reminded me of Po in 2023 in that while I thought Douglas had lost half a step he was still a decent player. I know Po was/is older than Douglas but it just looks like Douglas who was never really a burner (ran a 4.59 at the draft) lost even more speed and just was prone to getting burnt at times even if he was very fundamentally sound almost always being where he needed to be just a step behind at times. I think getting out on Douglas was the right move. Tre is a year younger (granted more injury history) and looked better with the Ravens to end the season, getting Tre another off-season 6-7 months to be further removed from his 2023 injury seems like a better gamble. Toss in two drafted corners one in round 1 and a depth kick the tires retread in Dane and the team just doesn't need Douglas.
  14. League scheduling VP/guru Mike North chimes in on our schedule. Just have to tolerate Maddy Glab for a few minutes first.
  15. Ugh…you are probably correct: I shouldn’t be trivializing the dangerous precedent it sets to violate the Constitution without penalty, nor should I expect Trump to competently negotiate such a complex peace deal.
  16. It should be taught and enforced from Pop Warner on up through High School and College. All those lower level coaches are failing players by not teaching and enforcing/requiring proper technique. Do it enough when you are younger and it becomes second nature. Antoine Winfield Jr is one of the best in the game at it. Not surprising given his lineage and likely upbringing. But it also shows players/Safeties can be top of the game AND use proper technique.
  17. The team with the most talent frequently doesn't win the Super Bowl -- or even get to the Super Bowl. Injuries derailed the Lions last season in the divisional round in the NFC. Turnovers in the divisional round and a dropped 2 point conversion by an All Pro TE put the Ravens on the sidelines for the AFC Championship.
  18. Sup, Mup?! Yes, long time no speak! This is the first that I’m hearing about your health scare! Please feel free to keep in touch with me on it, if you’d like, by PM or by any other way. Obviously, you have my best wishes and prayers! Any strong thoughts on the 2025 schedule?? FYI: my parents back home are working on tickets for weeks 17 (Eagles) and 18 (Jets). I may also attend the week 2 Jets game in Jersey. Let me know if you’ll happen to be in Buffalo or NYC during those times and would like to meet up! I’ve been lurking around these parts, both here and at BillsFans.com. I’ll post and write, on occasion, if the inspiration happens to strike at that moment. I’m looking forward to the summer and hope you are too! The warming weather, in fact, is inspiring in me a variation of a famous poem from Harry Chapin: There are so many summer fashion options nouveau: Floral cut-out dresses for weekend fun. With Yasmin Wijnaldum struts and a catwalk glower, Slay resplendent blazer dresses of threads well-spun. Fair enough, Leh-nerd. But don’t think you can completely get out of this one, with your disarmingly sanguine offerings of such wonderfully mellifluous poetry…which incidentally evoked a particular childhood summer redolence while frolicking in an upstate New York meadow of yore. < heavy sniffles > I am prepared to offer you ONE sincere apology and ONE forum concession. But in return, I want you to think about how YOUR posting habits contributed to the breakdown in our PPP conversations. To quote ComradeKayAdams: “There are so many MAGA’s in front of my crossbow. Too many MAGA’s, so I’ll switch to a large gun. I see Leh-nerd and I see him cower. With those chubby legs, let’s hope he can run!” Fear can be a powerful motivator for self-improvement, Leh-nerd. I patiently await your mea culpa.
  19. If Po wants to be "on retainer" for a late season PS stint and maybe make the roster if there's a lot of catastrophic injuries fine he can get the Hyde route of one last run in the most limited way possible. I love what Po did for this team but he was losing half a step in 2023 and then looked completely washed with Miami. He's been a full time starting safety in the NFL since 2017 and he's been in the league for over a decade with a decent injury history at 34 years old. For his own sake he should even if he still wants to play take the route most guys in his situation take and be a veteran in season free agent. If the Bills need him for the PS mid-season take him. He can be a coach who is a emergency backup. It gives him a long off-season of rest he needs at this stage of his career and still helps him provide value to the team granted in a very limited way.
  20. Yeah! I remember reading about them adjusting tackling technique. It's probably easier to teach now with a few more actual rules involving player safety.
  21. The Fed is a joke. They need to cut rates. They said the tariffs would result in high inflation. They are playing politics. They cut twice leading up the election to try and help the incumbent. Powell needs to go
  22. I'd try first going direct with the team (miami or buffalo) on single-game tickets if possible to avoid secondary market, even if it won't be a very good seat. Its probably a bit pricey but i think that's just how everything is now. Friend who is a ticket brokers advice is always - if you don't have a hookup (someone with seasons, business connection, someone who works for said team or stadium, etc.), you're better off waiting because of all the fee's. The initial blitz after these types of publicity stunts always results in higher prices. Season ticket holders pick out games to sell, brokers set the pricing and its going to drive the cost up. Prices will then fluctuate as the event gets closer.
  23. To that point, there are far less concussions and brain injuries in high level Rugby leagues. Sure, injuries can occur. I've been concussed in a Rugby game myself. But you cant use that crappy "human missile" garbage or else you're gonna get run right over. Pete Carroll/the Seahawks have a ton of good material out on it.
  24. I’m always curious why teams would have a pre-season game against one of their regular season opponents.
  25. I would disagree. It is a game you really want to have, but the Ravens schedule is pretty brutal also so it is not end of the world.
