I don't know about. I think the Jests might just be the most inept QB evaluators in the NFL. The Jests traded 2 2018 second round picks and their 2019 second round pick to Indy to take Sam Darnold at #3 overall in 2018 ... with two future NFL MVPs, Allen and Jackson, still on the board. Then they gave up on Darnold and traded him away to Carolina after 2020 so they could use the #2 pick in 2021 on Zach Wilson. In 2023, the Jests traded picks #13, their second round pick and a sixth rounder for Aaron Rodgers, the Packers #15 pick, and a fifth round pick. Wilson was traded to Denver in 2024 for a sixth and a seventh round pick. In 2025, they signed Justin Fields as a FA for $30 million over 2 years. In 2024, Darnold took the Vikings to a 14-3 record and made the Pro Bowl.

I understand what you're saying but honestly most people just want to win the Superbowl at this point. We have arguably the most talented QB in the NFL and have had chances to make it there. I am enjoying the ride but I'm starting to get to the now or never point with this regime to be honest. I was to young to enjoy the Superbowl runs of yesteryear, and went through the misery of the drought. Winning and being talked about as a Nfl power house has been awesome but I do crave more for this team, just go out and win the whole darn thing already.

No one has a worse draft history than the Bears. Passed on Mahomes for Trubisky (while trading up from 3 to 2), and passed on Jaden Daniels for Caleb Darnold.

The people who criticize the Bills for intending to re-sign Phillips are doo doo heads. While there are some small signs that the pendulum is swinging incrementally towards the run game, the NFL is a passing league and pass rushers are MUCH MORE important than run stuffers... thus Exhibit A, Zion Logue. The Bills are young on the D-line and feel that the "youts" could benefit from some veteran leadership. What exactly is the big deal? I don't think it shows a lack of confidence... I think it shows that they feel that what Phillips brings will be an asset to the team.

You’re missing the broader point which is that Tre White must be criticized with even the most absurd comparisons. It proves the macho street cred of those who criticize him. They’ve proven they’re not being sentimental in any way which is reserved for inferior betas. By preferring someone like Ricks, or ignoring all logic, they bolster their own self image of being an alpha.

Interesting. And I didn't know about Booth, I totally forgot about him. It was the Elam draft IIRC and I know some including @GunnerBill were high on Booth. And it seems he is total bust too.

Seems all these players/agents are following the same worn out playbook now. Contract talks aren’t moving, I’m going to request a trade. It does absolutely nothing IMO.
