  2. There was one thing that kept this team from being in the big game last season (well besides the crappy ref calls in the chiefs game) that was our D !! The offense did exactly what it needed to do almost every game but the games that the Bills lost was the fault of the Defense . The D couldn't stop the opposition when they needed to and if you look at almost every game but the first game against the Ravens which the Bills got stomped most every other game was by a minimal score usually never more that 7 points and if the defense was more stout that's alls it would have taken to make it all the way . This year given what they have acquired in the draft and FA the D will be much improved because Beane & McD see what's wrong and usually fix the problem or at the very least try to . I hope if for nothing else the Bills win a SB with McD so that all those nay sayers can eat their words, they are so freakin spoiled with having a winning team that the 2 mentioned have built that they feel that anything less than being in the big game EVERY YEAR is a loss and it's not because every year the team is a different team . But I live for the day that I can write a post to all those McD & Beane haters say TAKE THAT !! But when the Bills do win it they will be all about the win but will still be crucial about the coaching because those that complain will never be completely happy with anything Bills related they have to have something to B**CH about ...
  3. As a fan of 70s culture...I give props to JD over Von for being the 40 king..he blocked well enough during the 2003 yard season of 73 that OJ gave him an engraved bracelet.. it said. Thanks we did it..and on the other side... I didnt do it
  4. KD for president 2028!
  5. it’s absolutely mambo jumbo.
  6. His record does speak for itself, no doubt , but he is an arrogant pr-k .. IMHO
  7. Didn't Hairston say basically the same thing when drafted by the Bills. https://billswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bills/2025/04/26/buffalo-bills-max-hairston-keep-ball-picks-off-josh-allen-practice-2025-nfl-draft/83284266007/
  8. Fitzpatrick, and not close. He's the only guy that could come in off injury (although his presence might ensure the starter has one) and rattle off a string of MVP worthy games, saving a season.
  9. I may be wrong on this, but I was under the impression that "Unlikely to be attained" just means that the levels of those metrics in question (i.e. Number of TD's, receptions, yards, etc...) are higher than the player's previous season. For example, Moore has one TD last year. If the incentive was 2 TD's, then it would be considered "Unlikely to be Attained", based on the previous season (even though with Allen tossing the ball, on Brady's offense, one would imagine that they ARE, in fact, likely to be attained). I believe that's how it works. Only incentive metrics that are at or below the previous season's would count against the cap.
  10. Still the greatest coach in the history of the sport. I wish him no ill will, because I would have cut off fingers to have him be the Bills coach.
  11. We absolutely don't need him but acting like he's washed is silly. He was still a very capable defender last year: https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/jadeveon-clowney/8636 5.5 sacks, 4 Forced Fumbles, 9 TFL, 4 batted passes with a 64% snap count on an atrocious team isn't awful either. He was being paid $10M a year. I think he earned that.
  12. I don't get the anger amongst fans (or talk show hosts) for them not drafting a WR. I don't subscribe to the theory that the position value of WRs are like QBs in that "you must hit one to the point of elevate them a round or 2 round higher." With that, you trust your scouting and the board. And this year the boards across the NFL is that it is a lean year for WRs. I know there are narratives out there that Beane is one of those GMs that don't come from a scouting background. I have not done research on how many of them are out there and the success ratio. I know a few like Rick Smith (Texans) and Terry Fontenot (Falcons) are in a similar boat, though both are former players. Holmgren transitioned from Coach to GM. But I'll say overall, the organization is run way better than pre-McDermott/Beane era overall, maybe 2nd to only Bill Polian (and I can argue Polian won over Beane on eye for talent, but nothing else. I may even question were Polian in Beane's position, would he gamble on selecting Allen). Reaching out against your own evaluation based on needs is what net you Elam kind of decision. Go with the flow of the draft, as the saying goes "let the draft come to you." I feel they did that this year.
  13. Not all sad to see Belichick and his Girlfriend make fools out of themselves .. more so Belichick..
  14. I thought I'd go with Fitz ... He went to Harvard ya know. The problem with Fitz though is that it seemed wherever he went as a backup, the starter got injured, so not wanting Josh to get injured I'd have to go with Bledsoe. Our line is good enough to protect the statue that was Bledsoe and he was pretty good at throwing it.
  15. I’m a huge Allen fan but nobody is like Jordan was. Jordan was the most competitive person ever. No one comes close. David Blaine was trying to do a card trick with him and Jordan tried to cheat with that because he didn’t want to get fooled on a stupid card trick. Yeah Jordan would make stuff up because that who he is. Most of the guys are competitive but not to Jordan’s level.
  16. This entire 2-down/3-down back argument is the fanbase grasping at straws to try to devalue him after being offended by some innocuous posts on social media Doesnt make any sense for anyone who has watched him play, saw his performance last year, and still wants to comment on what he brings. Like I pointed out up-thread, he was still the most productive/used player outside of Josh. No one else comes close to his number of touches. Regardless of what downs they came on.
  17. I am not using placebo effect in its medical sense. It now has an accepted wider application for analogous situations where a percieved effect is bigger than the reality.
  18. I have a questions. In this post you replaced everyone with someone on the roster and I agree with most of it. The only person you didn't/couldn't replace is Diggs. Isn't that a huge loss when comparing the 2 seasons?
  19. I use to spend a week in Kincardine Ont. every summer, Niagara Falls and Toronto routinely, until I was banned. Their loss, I spent a lot of money there. But seriously, their problems started before Trump. If it takes scapegoating him to feel better about themselves than looking in the mirror, so be it.
  20. It says his 2025 cap hit is $2.5M. If the incentives are easily attainable, they'd be "likely-to-be-earned (LTBE) and make it a $5M cap hit for the year.
  21. I think you can leave Lamar off your list.....if he ever learns how to read defenses pre-snap, or be able to throw to anyone other than his first read before taking off to run, then maybe he can be considered, but I am not holding my breath. Once his athleticism fades, he will fall off quickly. As for Starks, he wants an INT off the best QB on the planet......what defender doesn't want that?? Wanting an interception is one thing, but getting one is quite another.
  22. Placebo effect involves an actual treatment of a physical or physiological condition, so for me you are completely mis-using it here. I think you are making the point that the players already had these abilities so the emotional heightening from perceived or actual "insults" is negligible. I would simply say that physiological changes when experiencing strong emotions can change mental focus, increasing it when channeled properly. https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/psychology/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2017.01454/full So, some pro athletes find ways to experience strong emotions to find greater focus. This is what is being alluded to. Yes, you're right the athlete already had the ability, but finding ways to maintain maximum mental focus enables maximum and consistent physical performance.
  23. Now that India is our ally can we please bring Apu back on the Simpsons?
