Bills to sign Punter Mitch Wishnowsky
The Jokeman replied to The Jokeman's topic in The Stadium Wall
49ers punter last 5 seasons https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WishMi00.htm -
When it looks the same as it always has it gives you a pretty good indication that you are going to get more of the same...

Another thing. Posters want young players to get chances and reps to grow through their mistakes so that they can be ready for end of the season. There are constant complaints that McDermott won't play young players. But then these same posters declare these same young players busts for the predictable mistakes and fire the coaches for the lack of performance.

This is something the Browns usually do with a 1st round selection .

Sauce Gardner is crying, but does he have a point?
Billy Claude replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's not true. There's still a lot of screaming about anti-Bills amd especially about perceived anti-Allen bias. It's just more irrational than before. -

Holy hell, we're only a quarter of the way through the season playing many young guys. Maybe they get better, maybe they don't but 4 games isnt gonna tell you whether it's going to be better or not

Just saw a local station report that Jackson is likely out this Sunday against Houston and could be as much as 2-3 weeks.. Yikes.. Imagine that offense with Copper Rush as QB.. That's like giving up the keys to a Porsche to drive an electric bike.

No one is suggesting that we erase history. The tailgating, the passion, the traveling, etc… Those are the traditions. Going early and going all out is the tradition. Wearing goofy pants, that we wore during the drought to attract attention and jumping through tables, isn’t our glorious history. Fortunately, the table jumping is mostly dead now. I’m simply suggesting we do the same with the goofy Zubaz. No more gimmicks. I’m fine keeping Shout. I like the new traditions. We will have more in the new stadium too. I just think that culture, legacy, and identity are earned. The early 90’s teams are why I’m a Bills fan. I’m not suggesting abandoning what they accomplished. I’m simply suggesting that we continue to evolve. The traditions started by this team, like the early 90’s were organic. It’s okay for us to dump things from the drought like we did those ugly uniforms. There’s nothing special, or memorable about Zubaz. It is just gimmicky and attention seeking. 🤷🏻♂️

The crappier the teams the crappier the refs you get. That Saints game had awful announcing with the F squad covering the game, and the bottom graded officials working the game. Then naturally the game had way more ticky tacky penalties then what we have been seeing the first few games of the season. -

Where is Landon Jackson ???
Sierra Foothills replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
You brought our 1st round pick into the discussion and it seemed like you were making a negative statement ("Jackson and Hairston are 2 of 3 players picked in the top 72 picks that have yet to play a down. ") about the 2025 draft class. In following up you're saying that Hairston and Jackson not playing is "more of a fact than a criticism" which clarifies the intent of your first post. Sorry if I misinterpreted. More broadly, I understand that people can criticize an individual pick 4 weeks into the season if they want to but knowing the crapshoot nature of the draft, it seems fairer and wiser to look at the entire draft class. We have 4 rookies that area already getting significant playing time and we haven't even seen Hairston, Jackson, or Hancock. IMO this is looking like a great draft and so I guess I'm sensitive when someone wants to prematurely judge one member of the class... if that makes any sense. -
More pressing needs on defense.

Not sure how injury settlements work tho. To your point, it will be up to any language in his contract.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW – At the One-Quarter Mark
SoCal Deek replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Your post got me to thinking because I know exactly how you feel…..so I looked it up. The Bills have played 16 quarters of football this season. They’ve scored points in 15 of the 16. (The lone exception was the second quarter on Sunday.) I’d say 15 of 16 is pretty darn amazing. -
Some Bills fans need to remember that this is Bobby Babich's second season as Buffalo's DC. He was promoted for a reason, as other teams were looking at making him their DC. Unfortunately, the Buffalo Bills have had a rash of defensive injuries to several players, including some rookies, which have limited their experience to start the season. McD made a perfect choice for his new OC, and in time, I think the same will be said of this DC. So many up-and-coming new players that could have a major impact in future games. Strong, Hairston, TJ Sanders, Landon Jackson, Hancock, Deone Walker. Just look at Cole Bishop and how he is improving with playing time. I feel it's not the coach's fault that players don't maintain their gaps or make the wrong reads. Have some faith and give it some time. While the defense hasn't looked as good as I had hoped, there is still a lot of room for improvement. The current scheme that Buffalo runs really works well, and if there's one thing that we know, it's that McD is not going to tolerate a bad assistant for very long. Simply look at what happened with the offense and Ken Dorsey. Allow me to reiterate, have some faith and give it some time.
