Plenty of good QBs have been ruined lol David Carr was a so much better football player than Derek.. he went to an expansion franchise that let him get sacked 65 times a year and ruined his career Drake maye I'm not even sure we'll be a starting NFL quarterback in six seasons

I get all of that. My point still stands. If it was all about money, I think Beane should’ve paid him. If it’s all about usage, there’s nothing he could’ve done to keep him. If Moore proves to be a key contributor, I’ll be proven wrong. I haven’t seen 11.6M either, so if that is the case - end discussion.

Our WRs did clutch up though. Multiple times on the final series we had receivers wide open for first downs and Allen did not get them the ball. For example, Samuel has an easy first down but Allen has his pass knocked down at LOS. Even on the 4th down, Shakir was wide open to the left for an easy first down but Allen cheated the protection to the wrong side when we were fooled by the blitz putting people in Allen’s face off the snap untouched. Additionally, Kincaid was also running wide open for a 30-40 yard gain had Allen had time to throw on same play. Instead he heaved a sky high prayer ball and Kincaid on bad knees had to stop and come back to it and try and make the catch. Now I will say you want to see Kincaid catch that, but it was not easy and harder when he’s doing it on bad knees. Point is, our WRs didn’t fail Allen in the last series, they got open and Allen wasn’t able to get them the ball for various reasons. I do agree with most of this though.

I think one thing that that is lost in the discussion about "elite" talent is that coaching matters every bit as much as the drafting part. So if there is very little elite talent on the Bills, it may not be Beane at all, it could be McDermott. McDermott could be every bit as much to blame. Beane could draft the next superstar, but if McDermott can't coach them up that player will fail. And who the lead coach on offense? Brady ? The guy that was fired from the Panthers?? Surely you can't be serious!! -
Not earth shattering news, but Shadeur Sanders signs rookie contract.

Pump the brakes there guy. He can't possibly be the highest paid QB in the NFL until after his 3rd season, when he becomes eligible for an extension. He can have his jersey retired and be placed on the wall of fame after two TC practices though. -
I bought a Maple Leafs sheet and comforter set. Now I can't score at home.

I’ll blame this thread for the steaks we had last night. No, I should thank this thread. Not only was the steak great, but we roasted the fattest asparagus I’ve ever seen. Like, maybe it should have been genetically tested because you don’t see ‘em like that very often! Great meal, but there is a time for a burger, too.

Keon Coleman success by route - Not pretty

Five games into his rookie season (before injury) Steve Smith told Sports Illustrated that Keon Coleman was "one heck of a football player". Just sayin. In fairness, the thought was also expressed that playing him exclusively as a dedicated X from the get go without the benefit of scheme touches and motion was too much to put on the kid's plate given the step up in competition. I note that even Brian Thomas takes 30% of his snaps from the slot. I'm pretty confident that Keon can play from the slot. I can think of game situations where you might use a big slot effectively. Contrary to many I think he can also play outside, but only if he can learn to do some of the things that Boldin could do. I wouldn't set that bar for just any big "slow" receiver. I say it because he is a rare physical specimen who probably has the physical attributes to do it. It's largely up to him imo. -
Yeah but Shakir and Kincaid would've made his role redundant as he's mostly a slot WR. It's the not trading up for Brian Thomas Jr. that's frustrating. Maybe they tried. Who knows? I'd love for Coleman to tear it up this year so he can shut all of us up.

Not defending him as obviously he does it, 3x I saw him don’t recall political preachiness. The last time, “The River” tour, if he did, I missed it, probably catching my breath. It was another sledgehammer show.

I think pressure gets to them. The combo of the playoff losing streak and being Toronto, it has got to get inside everyone's heads. That little voice. I think the Sabres deal with that too with the prolonged drought.

I know. I'm just being a smart a$$. I wouldn't be me if I wasn't.
