you can see how it happens tbh. everything about our trajectory over the last decade suggests he's a good HC. it's why imo when things start going sideways we get blame shifting to allen or brady or beane...who in all honesty have earned their fair share (allen less so) but still it's when you look just a little deeper you see McDermott's hands all over our current situation. it's just a crazy combination of this particular franchise, our results not matching the eye test, and the burden of not being quite good enough

The play before, Texan DE made a great play. I believe if Shakir would get the ball, i see he would get to inside 5 yard line if not outright score. The last play, they got the defender into a conflict state (maybe due to Gabe's foul). Allen saw it and it should be TD to Palmer, but he under threw, maybe the result of rushing the throw. Shades of the Miami game endzone INT. This is the season we are having, even though I won't say the main reason Bills are where they are because of Allen's play, but Allen is certainly not what he was last year. Even he admitted that his mechanics is off several games, and that last throw is certainly a case where he is flatfooted, not an ideal throwing position.

I think the Brady (and the rest of the Bills coaching staff to a lesser degree) have a real hubris problem. They think that no matter what they can out-execute the other team, even when being painfully shown that it isn't working. The Bills line up and do what they're going to do and it doesn't ever seem to adapt with what the opposing defense has been showing. Every content creator and analyst who watches football professionally talk about how predictable the Bills are. The 4th and 27 play was the only playcall the entire game I thought to myself "Wow, didn't expect that". On third downs where they pass and it's less than 8-10 yards, it's always a mesh concept. The Bills have obvious tells with who is on the field, and in spite of that they never break tendency and do something different. They just line up and do what they're gonna do because we have Allen and they don't. It's lazy and points to an ego issue in the coaching room, in my opinion anyways.

The owner let's this circus marygoround go on. Bean was giving multiple chances to build a better roster but has failed. McDermott seems to collapse in critical situations. The issue is if Bean and McDermott get another chance and it doesn't work Allen is most likely done.

Josh should not be calling the plays. He has enough to do. They need a competent OC. IMO
