NO ! He is a rookie, you don't have that discussion till year 3 or his 4 year contract and only if he continues to play at a higher level. Got to see if he can play consistently and stay healthy.
-
It’s nothing new …we have seen for years that it works against impatient bottom feeders with shaky QBs…. The problem for me is that they continue with the strategy against the elites in January…

Good, you understand the point. It is 3 games.

Jimmy Kimmel Canceled

Democrats begin lecturing everyone on the dangers of censorship. That's funny. How about creating a sitcom series to fill that empty time slot starring that Ministry of Truth lady Nina Jankowicz? We already have the show's theme song. -

This is the list for me. Well with Allen of course. Shaq really added some physicality I liked. -
9/18/25 GAMEDAY Bills vs Dolphins Post Game Thread TNF
mjt328 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think most of the frustration comes from the constant struggles to get a stop on 3rd Down. The Bills defense had an OK game on paper. But there were a half-dozen times when they had a chance to put the nail in the coffin, but just couldn't make a play to kill the drive. I'm not someone who studies the All-22 Coaches Film or advanced metrics websites. I rely on my own eyes and experience of watching the NFL for 35+ years. My personal unscientific definition of "pressure" is by counting 1-2, and whether or not the D-Line is able to either reach the QB or force him off his spot. Even though Tua was getting the ball out quick most of the game, there were plenty of 3rd Downs where he was able to hold the ball longer than 2 seconds. That's not good enough from the pass rush. The Bills seem to get nice individual performances here and there, but not consistently strong play from the unit as a whole. Joey Bosa has looked really good so far. But Groot, AJ Epenesa and the other edge rushers have been totally invisible. Ed Oliver was amazing Week 1. But he's been hurt the last two games, and we haven't gotten much from anyone else. -
Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?
MikePJ76 replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
They just beat the ravens..? also they beat Denver and Baltimore in the playoffs last year. Are you aware of the level of defense Baltimore and Denver played last year? this boogie man that this fanbase is obsessed with that can only be solved by wide receivers is exhausting. stop playing fantasy football. -
Well. It’s hawes. And while that’s nice and I really like him. It’s yet another referendum on mcbeane drafting. Once again in our Super Bowl window. When we universally think the defense is the problem in big games - we load up on D 1) Hairston- hurt. Of course. Jury out 2) tj sanders. VERY underwhelmed. Does he even have a tackle for loss? Or A tackle? He’s flirting with being inactive I bet once suspension guys come back 3) Landon Jackson. Very alarming he can’t even dress. He looked like a practice squad or fringe roster player to me during preseason against 3s 4) Walker. Hit so far 5) hawes. Really big hit Hancock hurt and isn’t dressing yet (I really need to see him displace Rapp at the end of the year. I’m praying) strong - I’ll say a hit - held his own as a backup filling in for injured starter don’t care about the rest. If our 2nd and 3rd round picks (didn’t we move up for the 2? ) can’t even dress! That’s a problem

No my friend I’m going back to McDermott running this defense. It’s always had issues from day one whether it’s giving up 3rd and long or stopping good offenses in the playoffs. I didn’t notice the thread title was Rousseau 5 years, thanks for correcting me. Trey White is a huge problem to be honest. He probably is responsible for at least 14 being scored last night maybe more. Harriston needs to get healthy and up to speed by the playoffs.

Dolphins gonna Dolphin. -
And I think this is my concern. If the issues yesterday, against a bad team, were not something which continually reared it's head in the play offs, resulting in an earlier than desired exit, then it could be dismissed as a one off or unusual evening. But it's the same thing week in, week out. Too soft, too weak and - don't get me wrong, as they're very important - but too reliant on turnovers rather than being able to get 3 and outs. Especially the management of 3rd and long.
-
How did your actions yesterday help the Bills win? Something you ate? Did you change your shirt at halftime? Kick that annoying friend/relative out of the house? Secretly get your daughter to the game to surprise your wife? I’ll start… Still wearing no Bills gear when I'm not at the game, watching at home, wife was gone but couldn't see the game, and wanted me to text her updates. I ignored her instead and watched it.

Kicker decision between Bass /Prater
Epstein's Mother replied to Jistafan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If that kick was artwork I would throw tomato soup on it and glue my hand to it. -
I'm fine with the mistake free, conservative offense that doesn't have alot of flash to it. My real issue...and I'm not really too upset with it now, but once we get to later in the season and the playoffs we can't have the same McDermott defense we've had ever since he's been coach here. They need to be more aggressive and they have to be able to stop the run without selling out to do it. I expect that McDermotts defense will fail when it matters most, and that would be an unacceptable result to me...especially given the investment into the defense.
-
Ultimately, it depends if/when Bass is ready. Prater had one bad kick but he’s been money on all the others. There are at least 5 other teams who would take Prater over their current kicker, so holding onto him as long as he’s healthy is a boon. If Bass is ready by week 8 we could potentially trade Prater and keep Bass, or put Bass on season ending IR and keep Prater for the season. Bass is your long term answer for now, and until we have one waiting in the wings I think it’s foolish to move on. Prater is 41, so don’t plan on him being here long.

They played the way they did intentionally. They should have executed better on third down, and the D-Line needs to get home, but the soft zone is a coaching choice. They didn't believe the Dolphins could win with 10-15 play drives, and they proved it. They showed nothing on offense because they didn't need to. The game was about 4 plays on offense from being a blowout, without the missed field goal everyone is talking about this game differently.

This is Greg Rousseau’s 5th season in the NFL. What, are you going back to HS or something?
-
Daniel Jones has had a great first 3 games. We will see if it continues. Based on his body of work, I don’t have a super high opinion of him, so I doubt it. Greg Rousseau has basically been invisible for the first 3 games. We will see if it continues. Based on his body of work, I don’t have a super high opinion of him either, but I thought he was better than his play this year would suggest. And now that he is presumably one of our best defensive players (and paid accordingly), I think the expectations surrounding his play during our SB window have risen as well. Whats wrong with those takes? Too scorching hot?
-
We've entered the era of being the other team's Super Bowl for the season. Bask in it. It won't last forever, as I think most of us are aware.

"One Read" Tua is a "system" QB and unfortunately, his HC is just not the guy to help him progress any further than what that system allows. ........it's sad really -
What's wrong with Rolling Stone? - Roundy 😂 It is absolutely amazing—truly amazing—how many journalists are straight up lying at the request of Kimmel’s PR team. Here are Kimmel’s words: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.” Not to mention that this lie from Kimmel came at the exact same time everybody else on the left was lying about the shooter being far-right. If you’re a Rolling Stone reader, they’re taking you for an idiot

The Fins secondary was beat up before this game and lost two players during the game and it still seemed as if we couldn’t throw more than 5 yards up field. It felt like we had more passes behind the LOS than past it.

It was technically sold out. Toronto paid the Bills what they would have made if the stadium in OP sold out. Then they sold tickets to Rogers Centre. I went to the games up there. Day of they would be interviewing someone from Rogers and they were always saying to come on down, plenty of seats still available.
