No and I don't think Cook is a bad player, in fact I think he's a good one. Imo you can make the argument he's anywhere from the 8th to 15th or so rb in the league. I just wouldn't pay him, any RB really, but especially one that MIGHT be playing in the perfect offense for him and MIGHT be scheme specific and DOES happen to struggle in pass pro and also has not yet carried a seasons worth of work...I mean I think the market for him in free agency would be a wasteland personally. He's valuable in our offense for sure. I don't know how much interest he generates on the open market. My guess is that's why he's really trying to lock in a contract now and also that the Bills kind of know it as well I hope they get to a reasonable deal. And yes people who are upset about a player trying to get paid need to relax lol How would you feel if you were up for a raise and suddenly everyone started hating youšš You got to be happy when people get their money so they'll be happy when you get yours

Correct, it can mask the effects of concussions, this is my guess why they are banned.

Not how it works, in the real world. Madden maybe. -

Iām rather sure these players know exactly what the coaches are thinking of them. There is not much beating around the bush with value and projections. Your thoughts might be true as a way to send a message, but it is not the primary way. They are directly spoken with about what theyāre doing well, what they need to do better, more of, etc. -
Chernobyl was unbelievably good. But I would only watch 1 episode a week, the way shows are intended to be watched. It's too grim to binge. Plus there's only 5 episodes so if you start this week you'll count down to the NFL season š Another HBO show I'll mention that no one else brought up is Nathan Fielder's The Rehearsal. I have no clue if anybody other than me has watched it and I don't even know how to explain what it is. Best description I can give is extreme social experiments conducted on real people by an evil genius. But that's underselling it. Your jaw will regularly be on the floor.

Im not advocating to dump him. However he is not a top 3 rb and should not be paid as such. Another couple of seasons with last years production is a different matter. But the body of work is simply not there yet. Iām sure beane is not happy with his antics either. If he continues on this path and the bills offer a similar contract commensurate to Williams, and he refuses a fair offer, I would not be shocked if he is moved. I would take a prime Fred Jackson, marshawn lynch, or lesean McCoy over him. But thatās just me. -

When I search Max all that comes up is Hard Knocks with AFC North and Hard Knocks with the Bears.

Awesome, thank you!

It would be stupid for anyone to suggest itās entirely Allen, but itās not stupid to point out Allen is working with less talent than the other 3 elite QBs he's often compared to. It really was a special year on offense last season.
-
I hear Bills fans say "We need to get Josh more weapons! He cant do it all himself!" but then want to let our one actual weapon walk. And what better way to support your QB than with a running game that is an actual threat to take it to the house each and every play, so Safeties CANT cheat up?

FFS, this thread sure went off the rails.

Yep! Once it āgoes liveā you can watch it whenever in tonality

50% of snaps but touches the ball more than anyone (outside of QB and Center). Since we're talking about snaps, touches, and production... Cook had 207 carries and 32 receptions. He had the ball 239 times. He accounted for 1267 yards and 18 TDs. Shakir, who just got $15M/yr, and just had his best year yet, had 78 total touches, 825 yds, and 4 TDs. Roughly 1/3 Cook's total production depending how you want to look at it. Rousseau, who just got $20M/yr is on a regular rotation. Different positions, sure. But Shakir doesnt contribute even HALF of what Cook does to the offense. So if we're justifying numbers based on snaps, touches, and productivity, Cook should be the 2nd highest paid on Offense. -
It is exactly this. A lot of people are undervaluing Cook because they don't want to pay a running back. I don't really want to pay a running back either. I want them to find a way to get explosive passing game weapons in here and pay those guys. If we'd traded for DK this wouldn't even be a conversation, you let Cook walk. But if they are not gonna find those types of passing game weapons then letting Cook walk and replacing him with Davis just makes this offense significantly less explosive again and takes away a playmaker at a time when we should be trying to get more explosive and give Josh more playmakers.

Cook will sign for an 11.5-12 mil/yr AAV for 3 years. This is all posturing
