Looking back -- Davante Adams vs Amari Cooper
BillsFanForever19 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
You're still doing it but implying "the Bills settled for a significantly worse player". The cap situation is part of it. The bigger part is that we didn't have the ammo to outbid the Jets. Their picks were better than ours. The Raiders weren't going to take #96 that could become #56 (if we were even willing to do that) when the Jets were offering #94 that could become #42. -
Josh Allen would prevent that from happening….but once he retires or demands a trade it could get ugly based on what we’ve seen from Terry as the Sabres owner
-
Didn't we jump in front of Dallas and take Kincaide? Wasn't he supposed to be cowboy? So kincaide, Davis a 1st and a 2nd. Gitter done!
-
yeah, talking to a represented party directly is really bad form.

Tre didn’t walk on the leg. Without Tre we need another player. Perhaps for many many weeks to start the season. Something something Rasul

Revoking Visas / Green Cards: Scoreboard

But it was just a supply issue ….. -
Even today, northwestern/north central PA east of I-79 and north of I-80 is sketchy for services like gas stations, restaurants, and cell service if you're off the interstates. Frequently, what appear to be villages or cities on maps frequently turn out to be a half dozen houses, a wooden church, and a volunteer fire department at the intersection of a gravel road crosses a paved road.

I don’t think that’s true. Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy are probably better/worth more than any first or second round skill position players we have ever taken. But that’s not a long list, because we don’t take them. i wouldn’t call them abysmal, at all. Skyy Moore is no more abysmal than Cody Ford or Boogie Basham. Some guys just don’t work out. I get what you are saying about the Bills deciding to go get another first round corner because their last first round corner sucked. But the Chiefs do that too. Skyy Moore in the second sucked, so they went and drafted Rashee in the second. They had next to no outside guys, so after a pretty good rookie year with Rashee, they went back to the WR well in the 1st. Teams drafting players because their previously drafted players sucked isn’t a unique Bills thing. The unique Bills thing is that they basically exclude WR from that process. And as much as I agree, that the Bills needed to restock their defensive cupboard, they can still manage to do both. Did we need to take a 3rd DL in the fourth round instead of a decent WR prospect? Was that going to make or break things? Who knows. Maybe Walker is the next great IDL. But philosophically, there’s just something off with how they handle the WR position, and imo it’s only gotten worse since Diggs.

Without Allen the Bills would be the Sabres.

No emoji from me. It's your opinion & I respect your post. Levy was a great guy too, but couldn't get over the hump either. It would be so cruel to have 2 great character coaches who can't win the big one. Buffalo is all about character, toughness, etc .. Dang it if they can't get one with such character qualities from the coach, mgmt & players we have.

I get all of that and I don’t think I’m oversimplifying. The issue I keep coming back to is that the Bills settled for a significantly worse player in a SB-window season where the glaring hole was WR. But maybe it was never doable given the Bills’ cap situation. -

He had some success in Washington. If they’re trading a WR, they may want him back. It’s not that crazy when you add context. These things don’t happen in a vacuum. They want out from Robinson’s deal apparently. The rumor was that Washington asked Pittsburgh for Freiermuth and a 2nd. The Steelers declined. Is that offer that much worse? Again, it’s not likely but it isn’t much worse than the Steelers rumor. -
The only ones anywhere near WNY are in Erie,PA, Henrietta, and on Transit by the Depew exit (Exit 49).

Josh Allen will not play against Tampa ?
Breakout Squad replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man I hope not. Allen playing isn’t going to change anything. It’s gonna be a sloppy start against the Ravens like we always do 😞 -
You don’t know that. The BILLS are capable of winning the SB every year with Allen.

The real question is...how many snaps for Grant DuBose?

He's one of those guys that you can always tell when it's him. There's others. Stewart Copeland is like that for his work on the rides and that muted snare rim, super distinctive, plus he's hilarious. Also Bill Bruford - always loved his little quip about his time with the Crims. Surprised nobody's touched on Tomas Haake for a band with almost no melody being as famous as they have become strictly on the death throes twitching of fractal time signatures that are complicated for complication's sake. Ginger Baker is kind of doing his own thing no matter what band. In the Share thread I put In My Time Of Dying which is a cover mainly arranged by Bonham using his drums to indicate the entry points for bass, guitar and vox. Almost everyone from Birmingham hit the drums like they owed them money. Bev Bevan was a monster too. Speaking of the Birm gonna use a moment here to recognize Bill Ward. So underrated. Going back and listening to the Sabbath catalog (can't escape since Ozzy went), he was driving the whole wagon. Iommi's bootful-of-sludge riffs are the molten lead being poured from the parapet, but everything interesting in those Elite Eight albums is going on underneath between Geezer and mainly Ward. He was amazingly musical, while being able to match anyone power-for-power too.
