What is better, no guns, or more guns?
rusty shackleford replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
My opinion will differ than many around here. I don’t think there should be much restrictions on gun laws for every day Americans. But for felons (easy to define) and mentally ill (much harder to define) need to be quite restrictive. I don’t know how to draw a line in the sand for mentally ill but there are definitely at least red flags that should trigger higher levels of review… Changing your name from Rob to Robin and mutilating yourself would at least seem like a good place to start. -

Oh my god. I get the gist. But it’s a good thing the great CB47 has football in his life. It’s difficult to understand what’s going on here.. Hope nothing else ***** with his body brain. -

In a dream world - Better more thorough background checks. Longer waiting cool down periods. Mandatory background checks for private sales and gun shows. Ban sales to people with history of any violence or animal abuse. Red flag laws enforced. Restricted sales to men under the age of 25. Young screwed up men are nearly the entire problem. Another effective solution may be strategies to reduce isolation in society which promote relationship building for young men. Im not saying it would be a panacea, but I think it would help…. Not that I expect any of the legal stuff to happen given the court and politics, thus the sacrifice of lives must continue. On a positive note, I read that mass shootings are declining compared to years ago, so maybe we are over the hump or it could just be declining demographics of young men. -

I thought maybe it was - been a day. Go Bills 😊 -
Reminds me of everything else these days... Less color, less personality. Everything is either white, black, silver these days. I look at cars on the road, and almost everything looks the same. Interior of everyone's house looks the same. Restaurants & other businesses are changing logos to make them less interesting. I don't even "hate" these designs, I just look at them & think "yeah, guess I should've seen that coming."

Ok we can have a real conversation here, what standards do you want to enact? Because the standard depends if you want to cut the rate in half or 90% -
That’s too bad, it was a GREAT punt, for anyone, not just bc it was a TE who had t done it in the pros at all. Carried 62ish yards with height.

I’ve never been into any one player too much. I can’t tell the truth from a well managed image. That’s one reason I wear Bills gear, but never a jersey. There’s nothing wrong with it, and my family has quite a few, but I’ve never even met these people. I don’t know which one is the Super Creep! The people I appreciate more are the ones who use their platform to improve the lives of others. Dikembe Mutumbo lived here in Atlanta and we crossed paths a tiny bit. I just thought of him as one more NBA player, which meant I didn’t have much feeling for him one way or the other. That was until I learned how he spent his life after his NBA years. That was a life well spent, and I think more of him now than I did in his hey day.

I’m starting to get really hopeful or perhaps overly optimistic over recent days. I just feel he’s all business and with chemistry, he’s going to break out. He was all over the placei in media last year from the draft and his jacket comment became media darling. I was ready for him to be the star on hard knocks. Have not seen or heard from him at all. Check out Dion Dawkins interview last week on first things first, he was glowing about Coleman progression and upcoming season. I don’t think he has the traits to be top tier but end of season he’s the clear bills #1 WR. 1k yards, 7 tds

IMO, giving McD as much time as he wants to prepare for Lamar Jackson is a real problem for them. -
I appreciate the kind words. I can look into that. After having to scroll through the names of practice squad players for hours, my gut tells me that there’s actually a little bit more turnover than we’d think there would be. The Practice Squad rules naturally create turnover. Teams can have up to 6 players with unlimited accrued seasons, up to 10 players with two or fewer accrued seasons, and up to 16 players with no accrued seasons. Doing some quick math: assume there are roughly 320 players in the 0–2 accrued season bucket. If 50% of them reach 3 accrued seasons by the end of the year, that leaves 160 players moving into the “unlimited” bucket. But the unlimited bucket only allows for 192 players each season.
