  1. Past hour
  2. Up: Bishop - Getting better Kincaid - Getting better all the way around Cook - Continues to impress this year Down: Groot - What the heck, man? It makes you wonder who will be riding the pine when steroid boy returns. Dorian Williams - Out of position on multiple occasions and getting shook by Rattler. 3rd Down Defense - At some point, Babich has to be held accountable as well. But the guys on the field are not doing him any favors.
  3. IMO Shakir is too valuable to expose him to return punts; acceptable only as a emergency sub I would think.
  4. But I thought they have the Best Roster in the NFL™?
  5. Once Again, the Trump Administration Snags a Win From SCOTUS on USAID Funding Case by Susie Moore FTA: Instead, we got a ruling from the high court on the USAID funding case. (Which isn't to say we won't also get one on Cook's case — there's still time left in the day.) Once again, the court handed the Trump administration a win, this time by formally granting the administration's application for a stay of D.C. District Judge Amir Ali's September 3rd preliminary injunction, which blocked the Trump administration from withholding previously appropriated USAID funding. As noted in the court's order, this is not a final disposition of the case. It simply means that Judge Amir's September 3rd ruling (enjoining the administration from withholding the funding) is paused while the issue makes its way through the appellate process. Also, this ruling applies only to the funds that were subject to President Trump's August 28 rescission proposal, i.e., the $4 billion. However, it does signify a win for the administration in terms of its control over funding, and may also add a wrinkle to the tussle over the looming shutdown. https://redstate.com/smoosieq/2025/09/26/once-again-the-trump-administration-snags-a-win-from-scotus-on-usaid-funding-case-n2194440
  6. But not on National Television with everyone watching. I think that game was a local 1p slot game. That game yesterday left an indelible impression on everyone. The 'did he quit mantra' is loud today.
  7. we must be getting old. I do the same.
  8. I found this very amusing as I know a lot of people were miffed that we passed on Green in the draft
  9. Well, the Super Bowl is in California this season.
  10. The halftime show for me is; getting a cold beer, cleaning out the garage, doing my taxes.....anything but the halftime show.
  11. and If I know you ... with perfect form too !! LOL
  12. Division game and team's tendency to play down to opponents. Expecting a tough game. Hopefully, McDermott has team ready and they play better than they did against the Saints.
  13. It’s a two way street that never should have been ventured down. KC is happy to trade with us because they know they win those trades.
  14. That is week 16. There is a world where both teams have everything wrapped up by then.
  15. Definitely some results, especially their pass rush, have bared fruit so far. Which will be a problem if Spencer Brown can’t play again. Saw a lot of eye rolls, laughs and dismissing at those who go said the Saints weren’t going to just be a rollover game… Patriots are a better team. This game can’t going to be a period of stalemates like we saw in the second quarter. Thankfully the Saints couldn’t muster anything other than a FG on a punt from short field, penalty included. Teams are successful on the ground. Not having to be heavily reliant on the pass. Couple that with it being a closer game where they aren’t forced to air it out to catch up fast.
  16. Was also noticeably not great on a couple plays as well including the one sack by Jordan and the 4th down play where he tripped and ended up whiffing on his block because of it and Shakir got buried by Granderson.
  17. I think I may have a different interpretation of the test for Samuel. He failed. Codrington as returner and Moore as a receiver make Samuel and his large contract replaceable. Samuel, IMO, would make a great addition to an in-season trade for a top flight safety (to pair w Bishop) or an RB of better caliber to back up Cook (I'm getting worried about our current backups)
  18. I watched the game last week and I think they had 4 or 5 fumbles, three by the starting RB. So ball security can be an advantage for us if that continues.
  19. Results from wifey's doctors appointment. She is going to schedule an MRI. The doc told her to keep her inhaler at the ready in case she goes into a coughing fit. Prescribed a couple of different medications to take on her business trip. She is also going to schedule a visit to her cancer doctor. Part of the post treatment process was an esophageal dilation about 7 months after radiation to get her able to swallow food. At that time, we were told a follow-up procedure might be necessary 5 to 10 years after the fact. The dilation was 6 years ago. It's a quick 45 minute procedure to stretch the esophagus. No biggie if she needs another one done.
  20. Yeah, only buy from trusted dealers.
  21. I know I know we scored 30. But sitting up high around mid field, I thought some of the decision make was not great yesterday. Some of that was play call/play design, some was Allen trying to force some things. A number of very low percentage throws when there were other options to leave us with 3rd and manageable or even convert 3rd downs. Allen is still MVP of this team and without him we lose the game.
  22. Is this gonna be another thread that devolves into a fire everyone rant??? lol,
  23. The Bills are undefeated and the Pats* are .500 with one loss against a 1 win team. The Bills have won all their games by at least 10 points except for the opener against the Ravens. The Pats* are not anywhere near as good as the Bills and all this fear and apprehension for the upcoming game makes no sense.
  24. My evaluation after a quarter of the season... The offense is scoring 33.3 ppg (#2 in the NFL), has put up 30+ in every game, and only has one turnover. Yet it somehow feels like they are still leaving plenty of meat on the bone. Joe Brady's calling has been pretty conservative, outside of the 4th Quarter of the Ravens game. We basically ran out the second half with backups against the Jets. There have been stretches of sloppy play with drops and penalties killing drives. It's crazy to think that Josh Allen has quite possibly been the best QB in the NFL so far, and it almost seems like he's holding back. James Cook has quite possibly been the best RB in the NFL, and there have been a half-dozen shoestring tackles where he's almost broken long touchdown runs. If this group can start hitting on all cylinders, no scoring record is safe. The defense has been the complete opposite. They have been awful in all phases of the game, and if not for a couple important game-saving turnovers (Derrick Henry fumble, Terrell Bernard pick, Cole Bishop one-handed INT), things could somehow be much worse. Some want to blame it on injuries or rookies, but even our dependable veterans are looking like garbage. Our number-one focus in the offseason was upgrading the D-Line, and it's been a massive disappointment in every way. Every QB has 3-4 seconds to throw. Joey Bosa is the only one getting the occasional pressure, and he offsets it by constantly losing outside contain and letting up a bigger play. Against the run, they are getting blown off the ball and filling the wrong gaps. Tackling has been about the worst I've ever witnessed on a Bills team, and that's really saying something. Slow to the ball. Getting run over and pushed backwards. Whiffing and getting juked in the open field. Falling off ballcarriers. It almost looks like a team tired of injuries and trying to preserve itself for the postseason. Coverage has also been bad. The secondary seems confused before the snap. They are giving too much space to receivers off the line, and then leaving guys wide open. The times they have been in position, they can't knock the ball away. Even Christian Benford looks lost out there. Bottom line, we are probably looking at the best Offense during the Josh Allen-era... combined with the worst Defense during the Josh Allen-era. Yes, that has resulted in a 4-0 record so far. But much of that is due to the cupcake schedule we were fortunate to pull. We have all seen other teams roll through the regular season with 14 or 15 wins (see Chiefs/Vikings last year), knowing they really weren't as good as the standing showed. I don't want to be that team. The Bills staff needs to be working overtime to figure out what is wrong with this defense. Is it the personnel? Is it the scheme? Is it the coaching staff? We still have some time before the trade deadline to make a move. We could still pull a Ken Dorsey on Bobby Babich. What we can't do is be overconfident because of the record and then ignore the glaring flaws staring us in the face.
