I look at it as he has the potential to have Hyde's instincts matched with Jarius Byrd's ball hawk abilities. He's a very exciting player to watch. I believe he and Max will really shore up that secondary for years to come.. especially if Benford remembers how to play football.

Disagree. I think Rudolph is very possibly an upgrade from Rodgers. For whatever reason, Tomlin has a track record of not always starting the best QB on the roster (think Russ Wilson, Justin Fields and Kenny Pickett). Rudolph isn’t great, but not bad. I thought he played well in the playoff game vs the Bills a couple years ago…

i honestly don't know how possible it is to remove 10 million more illegals, and even if that was a possibility, i don't think it would ever free up enough housing to really change the market. where are these illegals living now? i can't imagine many of them area buying or renting home in desirable areas. i assume if they are in a house, they tend to be multifamily houses with extended family. housing has just about doubled in some areas over the last 8 years or so, and i don't think illegals are the reason, nor the solution.

As we stand right now, your statement is correct. But you have to admit the management is trying. They went thru an offense transition to the point where James Cook can carry the offense in addition to the one dimensional Josh Allen passing and running of the past. Objectively speaking, yesterday's game is a good example where the offense shifted reliance to Josh whereas there is plenty of examples this year Cook took the burden. But there are times the offense is not performing well as a whole, both the running and passing. That's when we need the defense to rise up to carry the load. That has not happened, more like never happened since Allen's arrival. They started to invest in bigger D-Line people this year, another sign of change. I'd say they need to invest in bigger LBs as well.

Hasn't helped the Bills D so much...

It was nothing at all (nothing at all) Like anything I had felt before And nothing at all (nothing at all) Like I thought, no, it's so much more No one else has ever made me feel this way And when I asked you how you did it, you just say "Baby, it was nothing at all"

Ceiling is 1st team All-Pro. If he keeps this type of play up, he’ll be a pro bowler this season
-
His diagonal pursuit skills are limitless. His up and down and side to side instincts are pretty much non-existent though.

According to Cover 1, Coleman will be a healthy scratch

I wonder if any of the veteran receivers have tried to take him in under their wings? Seems like an immature, disorganized mess right now in need of a stern mentor type that can keep him in line. Kind of a bummer if we don't have anyone in his position group keeping an eye on him. -

I still think if this team is going to rely on Shavers and Gabe to really make this WR core work then this is going to be an issue. But the Bills honestly have no choice but to try to make Gabe Davis work in the Mack Hollins role (minus the ST ace upside) which I think he can do that. I also think the Bills can get some production out of Shavers and even Samuel down the field. The Bills just have to try to be willing to throw downfield even if it isn't optimal and lean into what the team has vs. what it should have. -
Hyde has a significantly bigger wingspan - an arm length of 31.5" to Bishop's 29.75." That's significant. The Bills have always prioritized long arms for their DBs. Bishop doesn't have especially long arms, but in my opinion was a hell of a player at Utah and an excellent prospect. I really liked the pick at the time. I always figured he'd eventually get it. He was a smart player coming out and the college game is so different. Learning the safety position in the Bills' D is going to take some time for any rookie.

Unfortunately Chase will prob be suspended for that game 😠

That's correct it was 2023 but it was a Tibia plateau fracture and may have also had a MCL tear, way worse than a fibula break.

Based on his current pace, Josh Allen will break into the: - Yards/Top 20 = 12th Season (2029, Age 33) - Yards/Top 10 = 16th Season (2033, Age 37) Top 10 is probably doable for Allen if he stays healthy, and he plays a normal length career. Top 5 may be a stretch. Patrick Mahomes and Jared Goff are also steadily moving up the list. So to break into that group, he would need to surpass 72,000 yards. His current pace doesn't reach that until about 40 years old/Year 19.

The coming out party for Shavers was helped tremendously by Keon's benching. I'm fine with Keon riding the pines until a WR injury forces him back into the lineup. It will result in more targets to Shavers, which can only be a good thing. Who knows? Maybe Keon has played his last down for the Bills? We can only hope.... -
I’ve seen this shadow government idea advanced here several times recently. Who do you think comprises this group? Illuminati? Tech bros? The ultra wealthy? They clearly have influence but a shadow government? Nah, they’d never let him be so impulsive and indecisive isn’t the more likely explanation that releasing any of these things would be worse for him than anyone else? Or, at least, be bad for him.

Good that it’s in Cincy and that Bengals are theoretically still alive. I think Bengals could give Pats a serious run for the money

A Few Thoughts about the Bucs Game - Community Edition

A couple of seasons ago, the Bills let some vets walk on defense. It was time. They said goodbye to Poyer, White (who are both oddly back) and Hyde. This off season I feel it's time to do the same. It's time to shed some longtime guys who just aren't what they used to be. Obviously, Milano, Tre White and Poyer need to be upgraded. But, they need to take a serious look at Taron Johnson, Rapp and even the newcomer in Joey Bosa as guys that probably shouldn't return. It's really telling that once Rapp went out our secondary seems to have pulled it together, and is always stronger when White is on the side watching Mad Max play. It really speaks volumes that when Taron is out, the slot is covered just fine. No drop off at all. Games Milano have missed have actually had better LBer play. For as many assets that they have sunk in, the best thing they could do is to cut the dead wood off, let the young guys get experience and reboot that defense this off season
