  1. Past hour
  2. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that performance. He looked like he didn’t care or that he’d prepared or studied a playbook. Really embarrassed for him and completely unprofessional.
  3. Or see Afghanistan and Iraq. These were studied/contemplated/debated uses of U.S. military force against the ruling forces of sovereign nations. Say what you will about the results of the debate, but there were debates in Congress and an AUMF. I see no reason why - with the "two week pause" - that debate isn't happening now in Congress. This is not a situation involving an immediate defensive action against an attack on the United States or United States interests abroad, nor is it a military action compelled by Senate-ratified treaty obligations. The constitution is the constitution regardless of which party is in charge. Those were the Cold Warrior conservatives. The roles are reversed now. The post-neocon conservatives are supposed to be about appropriate debate and authorization before we get involved in foreign wars.
  4. Not sure if this has been posted on this long thread, but great news for Cook supporters and Bills' fans last week from the mouth of Josh Allen. In response to a question on Cook's contract he said, "He's one of the best backs in the league and hopefully that gets reflected soon." When I heard him say that last week it renewed my confidence that this nonsense is settled well before the season begins. When the best player on the team, and in the league, says that in public it is inevitable and "soon". Before training camp? Josh is smart, and he knows it was Kelly and Thomas leading the way, and Aikman and Smith, and Montana and Craig, and Bradshaw and Harris etcetera. And that the success of one fed the success of the other. And that inserting just a good back would have meant different outcomes.
  5. This is real , my brother brought it up , he was at Fanatics fest What a clown , I don't really have much else to say, hopefully someone lights him up in our first game, I'd gladly them take the 15 yards And if anything, that's a smart strategy
  6. I watched it when it was released and I couldn’t disagree more about newton being a fun listen. I found him painful to listen too. I’ve always been a fan of him, but he’s trying too hard
  7. I don’t know about that, but it would depend on your definition of “impressive rookie numbers” I would harbor to argue that WRs who put up 900-1k yards as rookies are almost never busts, whereas the bust rate for average to not bad yardage totals as a rookie is almost certainly higher. ESPECIALLY in recent years. Going back to 2013, the list of rookies who put up 900+ yards: Keenan Allen OBJ Mike Evans Sammy Watkins Kelvin Benjamin Amari Cooper Michael Thomas JuJu DK Terry McLaurin JJ Tee Higgins CeeDee Lamb Chase Waddle Smith ARSB Wilson Olave Puka Rice Addison BTJ Ladd Nabers That list is about as nearly “bust” free as you can imagine. The point I was generating was that Keon Coleman having “okay” numbers as a rookie by itself doesn’t mean much. I personally thought he played much better in the first half of the year than I expected and his whole season went off the rails. Whether that’s tape or rookie wall or injury or all 3 is anyone’s guess. What I do know is if Keon dropped a 900 yard rookie season, I would be arguing he has incredible chances to be a future NFL star. As it stands, a 500 yard rookie year gives him close to 50-50 odds historically, which is basically what his draft status guaranteed in the first place, which boils down to “he didn’t change my mind on him.”
  8. Every time we start to slobber over the next hot QB hype, remember these guys.
  9. Yup, this has a long history, Jefferson attacked the Barbary Pirates without Congressional authorization. Maybe you just got us wrong. Maybe you are just all wrong, period. You do seem like a pathetic joke
  10. This comes up every time military action is considered, always by the opposition. See Obama and Libya/Syria. See Clinton Bosnia.
  11. The people that set up the fake "assassination" attempt are investigating it. Awesome! Let me guess, they say it was real. Really!
  12. Sounds like what my wife told me this morning
  13. We had Leinart and Vince Young! Imagine if we had them at the same time… every scrimmage could have been a Rosebowl
  14. Yup, James Cook, as he is the team MVP after Josh Allen and gets better each year. So he seems poised to have a monster year running and catching. Will challenge for the most all purpose yards. I had thought he was too slight to be a featured back on a run heavy team. But he then transformed himself physically which made him even harder to bring down and tougher at the goal line.
  15. Ask them 60 days from if and when we get involved.
  16. Shakir… dude catches everything, breaks tackles, gets YAC, blocks, great routes… he smells the first down marker
  17. The last time we declared war was WWII. Funny you mention the Constitution because many of the arguments against the Constitutionality of the War Powers act were in fact claiming that that the imposed limit on POTUS were unconstitutional, not the other way around. So your point about constitutional conservatives being upset is a bit misguided.
  18. Giving some love to Tyler Bass. He came up big and was consistent in the playoffs this past season. Including a big field goal in the Ravens game. I know before last year he was my biggest concern for the season. But I was pretty happy for him
  19. Milano when he’s playing healthy. Bernard and Shakir are also consistently entertaining players to me.
  20. I also expect a fair bit of chest puffing if NE starts anywhere near half-decent. Maybe more from their fans than the team, but guess what? Like 30% of national sports media are Boston fans. Any chest puffing will make its way to McD/Allen, and they tend to take that personally.
  21. the initial ruling found it unconstitutional. The appeals court did not. Long way to go before you can make the above statement. But the judiciary has been purposefully politicized by trump. It's what dictators do. "Earlier Thursday, U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer ruled the Guard deployment was illegal and both violated the Tenth Amendment and exceeded Trump’s statutory authority. The order applied only to the National Guard troops and not Marines who were also deployed to the LA protests. The judge said he would not rule on the Marines because they were not out on the streets yet." from PBS. unfortunatley, there are several deranged rhino clones here....or at least like minded morons.
  22. It's not about who is better. All I'm saying is that at his current pace, Allen will have slam-dunk HOF numbers by the time he reaches the age of 36. And if he can play a few years beyond that, he's going to totally obliterate the record books. The media downplays his greatness now, because I don't think many of them have actually done the math. His current pace will have him at this point in only seven more years (all-time rank in parenthesis): Total TDs: 524 (#5) Total YDs: 61,152 (#10) Pass TDs: 390 (#8) Pass YDs: 52,868 (#12) Rush TDs: 130 (#3) Rush YDs: 8,284 (#44) Regardless of Super Bowls, there isn't a single voter who is going to ignore that kind of resume.
  23. I'm not trying to shout anything down. For all I know Coleman could be a bust, like I said the odds are against him as they are pretty much against everyone. I'm just pointing out the stupidity of all the posters here who think they can tell when a player is going to be a bust or be great, as the reality is we all know very little. There's too many people here who think they are the smartest guy in the room when it comes to player evaluations. I know I'm not as are almost everyone else here.
  24. Yeah I'll watch off an illegal stream as never had any issues with them. I've actually seed the quality better there than on legal streams. Or spoof IP address to Buffalo. Haven't tried that in a couple of years.
  25. You really just don’t see busts like this in the NFL anymore. A top 10 pick at QB with 18 starts in the NFL?
