I can appreciate these statements but the fact remains that we have never seen Burrow have to operate without elite weapons. -
Paid cash recently for my wife's Trailblazer. Sales guy was sweet as pie with the sale, although he did try to get us to finance(1%) because they get a kickback out of that.

Bill from NYC replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unless I am misinterpreting your post, you seem to feel that if the Bills fall short of your expectations this year, it will be because of the defense. Please correct me if I'm wrong and accept my apology. Imo, if the Bills falter this year (barring an injury to Josh) it will be due to a lack of offensive weapons. Since McDermott arrived in 2017, there have been nine NFL drafts. Seven of our first picks have been used on defensive players. I shouild note that two of these first picks were in round two (2020 and 2024). My thing is that the game has obviously changed since the 2010 rule changes. I can no longer visualize a Steel Curtain, or an 86 Bears defense ever happening again. I suppose that the old Arena League was ahead of it's time because the NFL is now an offensive league. I can't see how this can be denied. McDermott is a defensive coach, and I don't see how this will ever change. He has a Hall of Fame QB and fails to make providing him with weapons his top priority. I am not saying that McDermott is a "bad" coach. My thing is that his primary focus is defense, (secondary in particular) whereas three of his seven first round picks were cornerbacks, and imo there is no reason to believe that this will cease. Again, I think that McDermott is a good coach, but; if the Bills have a bad season this year it will be his fault (other than an injury to Josh) and he should be fired. https://www.drafthistory.com/index.php/teams/bills As always, jmo. -
The annual QB tier rankings from The Athletic

Comparing the Athletic Survey's tiers to mine posted earlier this offseason: Tier 1 Gunner: Mahomes; Allen; Burrow; Jackson Athletic Survey: Mahomes; Burrow; Allen; Jackson; Stafford Tier 2 Gunner: Hurts; Herbert; Prescott; Daniels; Goff; Love; Mayfield; Stafford; Stroud Athletic Survey: Daniels; Herbert; Goff; Stroud; Hurts; Mayfield; Prescott; Love; Purdy Tier 3 Gunner: Tagovailoa; Purdy; Nix; Smith; Lawrence; Murray Athletic Survey: Murray; Rodgers; Tagovailoa; Lawrence; Smith; Nix; Darnold; Maye; Williams; Young; Cousins; I've cut it off after that as the way they categorise is different.... indeed the last five of their tier 3 guys are the four guys who were in my tier 4 (with Rodgers) plus Cousins who I didn't rank as I ranked Penix as the Falcons likely starter. But basically the big differences they have are Stafford and Rodgers who they have a tier higher than I did (as I said above, classic NFL GMs who are typically late to spot the decline on these things) and Purdy who they have bottom of tier 2 and I have top of tier 3 - I am a little harsher on him given how he looked when his pieces were out last year. -

Preseason games are a lame excuse for skipping lawn maintenance. But, it works.. . -
Yeah, two minutes after posting I thought it through. The conversation probably would've gone something like this: Ralph: Here you go fellas - 20 big ones. Player 1: Wait. I thought it was $20 each. Ralph: Sorry if you misunderstood. I said $20. That's pretty good for manual labor. You 3 guys can split it however you like. Enjoy. Take your wives out on the town. Player 2: WTF are we supposed to do with $20? We can't even buy a decent lunch. Ralph: I supposed you can use coupons to get 1/2 off a meal if you buy drinks. Oh, by the way, you guys owe me $40 for parking.

Do the Bills Even Have a Hated Division Rival?
Gregg replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was born on LI and now live in NJ. Spent my whole life in the NYC area. For me its the Jets, I hate the team, the fans and the color green except when its money. Unless the Pats or Fins are playing at the Meadowlands then that is the only time you see their fans in the NYC area. The rest of the year I have better chance of seeing bigfoot then I do a Pats or Fins fan. I don't have to deal with them like I do with Jets fans. -

Yes. Made sure to go after we went to training camp. They make all of their ice cream fresh on site. Lives up to the hype. We had lunch at Pittsford Pub next door and then walked over for dessert afterwards. A solid day and kickoff to the football season Although it would have been awesome to be there the day Tre and Benford were hanging out -

pedigree anointed by those who give the honors. if they can't give him that distinction now it will dishonor their high beliefs in him to begin with - which is funny because many thought Mahomes was a reach and big risk. and josh was always the wrong josh so they can't go back on their word. there are 2 or 3 that would put Rosen in tier 2 just because they can't sell out their original ideas. it's pathetic. -

I'm afraid Babich is just an "OK" coordinator. Top-20 material. It's a situation where hiring from within wasn't the best option. -

I think Miles has anger issues. When funneled in the right direction on the football field, controlled anger can be a very good thing. But not so much off the field or after the whistle blows.
