  1. Past hour
  2. Benford is irreplaceable too. Not only is he an elite corner who excels at press or zone, he is a superior tackler. Ed is playing his best football, at an all pro level. Ed made many game changing plays against Raven’s. Interior pressure wrecks an offensive play
  3. Did I miss something? Anyway, next up......The Fin's. Another night game which is tough, but anytime we play the stinking fish, it's electric.
  4. We kept sending my friend Marlene into the bathroom because everytime they scored she was in the bathroom... in fact the game winning kick she didnt want to go in there and I told her "we lose this game cause you are not in the bathroom I will blame you for the rest of your life..." she relented went into the bathroom... and well the rest is history... you are all welcome... LOL
  5. Was just looking into if Collinsworth owns part of SNF (as a joke) but turns out he owns PFF. So all those PFF rankings before the game are essentially CC rankings lol.
  6. Point being, the Eagles have been trying to stay one step ahead. There HAS to be a team out there looking to part with someone on the defensive side of the ball that could be a significant upgrade to what we have. Cap wise... there are ways to make it happen. We don't shore up this defense and we are toast, yet again, in the playoffs.
  7. I totally agree with you. However, if only the schedule was updated.
  8. The spot on the 3rd down Oliver sack, on the Ravens first possession was horrible. Oliver hit Jackson at the 35, maybe 35.5, and the ball was spotted at the 34
  9. Teams definitely game plan around cook since the cowboy games two years ago. Also a sorta silly comment. Thats like saying teams dont game plan around the bills running game which is one of the best in the league. You absolutely game plan around how yorue gonna defend cook in the run game (probably commit an extra defender for him vs Johnson, Davis). Its not like hes some dude who gets a touch everyone once in a while.
  10. Yea the contain was an issue - but that was more on the Jackson keepers. The Henry runs specifically were more gap control and lane discipline and lack of fill from the 2nd and 3rd level defenders.
  11. This is one of those cases where a lot of things are true at the same time. Scale matters here. Of course every game has people who leave early for various reasons. And at a micro level, whatever. But the scale of Sunday night was bonkers. I think you and anybody else can leave early, especially when that is your weekly cadence, but I also think that because of the scale in which people left we, as a fan base deserve all the criticism coming our way. That stadium was empty. It is tough to explain how empty it was.
  12. Oliver is the one irreplaceable player on our defense. He plays with an edge and physicality that circulates through the defensive unit. His pressure up the middle makes our edge rushers more effective. Eddie is an All-Pro even if he is not classified by the voters as one.
  13. We dont need Jabril Peppers or Christian Wilkens , they would just gum up the works Our defense is going strong anyway...
  14. No, it was basically a cap question. Thought that was clear.
  15. Or Will Shipley got hurt and need a replacement.
  16. Relevant to this conversation, the Eagles also signed free agent pass rusher Za'Darius Smith yesterday. Smith has 69 career sacks in 10 seasons and had 4 sacks in 8 games last year.
  17. You wanted the Bills to trade for a backup RB for some reason?
  18. So this is sort of my understanding of it as well. But I thought that maybe it would be offsetting penalties and they would replay the down.
  19. Tough game. Our D has to step up and play tough again. No Lamar this time... Fields is good but nowhere near Lamar. We can contain him. I think we will win but it will be a tough game.
  20. Initially I was critical of not challenging this, but after reviewing I think it was called correctly. They've been calling it this way for a decade in the interest of player safety. There was a major point of emphasis on this a few years sgo. All the guidance to officials and teams has been that the ball is dead and the QB is protected as soon as he begins a sliding action. He doesn't have to be air borne, he doesn't have to have a knee touch the ground, he doesn't have to do anything other than look like he is sliding. While I think this could have been a first down, there is no way it would have been overturned. You could also tell by Josh's reaction that he knew he goofed. Silver lining is that Josh is protected from a lot of damage when he's at the end of runs.
  21. Josh made that comment with a smile on his face. Don't be so quick to be offended. Get a sense of humor.
