Pickens priced himself into the spending of only a handful of WR needy teams. Someone is going to shell out a fortune. If Terry McLaurin got a near $100m contract, Pickens should surpass that. I’d bet the DK Metcalf contract of $130m.

It is not impossible Beane is out at season's end. Mark my words. There are plenty of things to hold him accountable for and he's the easier replacement rather than McDermott.

I agree that Beane is not going anywhere anytime soon. But he is not a top 5 GM. He is one of the more overrated GMs in the league, and I’m sure by what he thinks of himself, extremely overrated. His drafts overall are average at best. Free Agent signings below average. Trades, other than Diggs, below average. Cap management, also average at best with all the mid to low dollar extensions he gives to average players that eat up so much of our cap. He is 10/10 at media manipulation and intimidation. He knows how to control and create narratives to his liking. The local media and some national media all give in to his bullying and charm. Maybe best GM in league at this. He is a arrogant conman.

that's very interesting -- is that in like total contract value, or just salary or cap this year? there are obviously ways to massage the numbers one way or another. i think bosa, hoyt (if he weren't hurt, so sad) obiwan and shaq were all good signings this offseason, and groot and benford were ok to good resignings. the real crap of our roster is not the draft picks, or the FA moves we made IMO, but the guys we over paid for second contracts (knox, milano, von, diggs, taron, both safeties poy and hyde as they got older, bass, maybe ed given injuries, and possibly bernard and shakir sadly). the second tier of errors is like samuel, maybe palmer given injuries, and all those d linemen who were jags who we paid up to sign in the past.

this reminds me of an all-time low moment for me, which was doing the same on Christmas Eve in church during one of these meaningless drought era pats/bills losses. (But we were still “in the hunt”!).

But Beane does have a choice, and his job is not in jeopardy, and the season hasn't been wasted, and it isn't over. So, yeah, like wow.

The only way to expand that makes alignment sense to me is to go to 40 teams. And expand playoffs to 8 teams per conference. however there isn’t enough talent to make that happen. The product would become too watered down.

Almost has to be a franchise tag with Dallas, or a team with a QB on rookie deal. Jennings - Probably not interested at the price, don't think he's upgrade over palmer. Shaheed - Probably not interested at that price Pierce - Could be a casualty of the Jones extension. I like this guy. Not sure he'll turn into a stud, but he's an upgrade imo. Robinson - Doesn't seem an upgrade over Shakir. Doubs - Meh? Kirk - If he's cheap and healthy, i like him behind shakir. Keyword is healthy, i don't see the point in the samuel money for example. Guys who will potentially be available based on contract terms - either via trade or cut: Tyreek Hill - Almost guaranteed cut coming off injury at his massive hit. Coming off his least productive year before that, i'd expect him to sign with KC though. Chris Olave - Trade and extend, assuming he makes it clear he won't extend with New Orleans. Chris Godwin - Hamstring issues, ACL, screws in his ankle... probably not interested Davante Adams - Probably the most interesting player on here that i'd expect released. At his age he's a 1-year mercenary while Buffalo continues to search for young players in the draft. Father time is undefeated though, so you don't want to be the one holding him when he falls off a cliff. Cooper Kupp - Hasn't been healthy in 4 years and the name will garner a premium on his contract. Nope. DJ Moore (Potentially a trade target) - Between top picks and money, they have a lot tied up at QB, WR, and RB. Could use the picks from a trade like this to add some young impact players on the offensive and defensive line. Darnell Mooney - Not a priority signing from atlanta. If he can be had on the cheap, he represents a similar player to what you can get from samuel and moore. Darius Slayton - Nabers returns, they could bring him back. I don't see him as an upgrade over palmer Tee Higgins - Deal is structured in a way that he's very easily tradeable in the offseason in 2026 with a 12.9M cap hit for the acquiring team. I'm not saying cincy SHOULD do this, but having the lowest ranked defense in football isn't helped by carrying 26M cap hits for WR2's. If he's flipped for picks it can help roster build as they get into the meat of those burrow/chase extensions.

I told my wife a long time ago that I don't ask for much (and I don't), but i really only ask that I be able to watch the Bills games when they're on. I have missed them for major things and don't regret it. But, if its something that means alot to you I think she should understand. My wife has been great about it, she even plans around the Bills schedule each fall.

Before then...inactives come out an hour before game time I think at least.
