NFL Bills/Dolphins preview -
I don't think he is ever going to live up to his status as a 1st round pick at that point. The route running/pass catching abilities just haven't been as good as advertised. But he has been better this season as a blocker and is still a solid pass catcher at least. So at least he hasn't been a total bust like Elam was.

2017 was competitive because of a new mindset, expectations and a lot of luck. 2018 was the year Josh was drafted, and the team was still being built around him, including some tough cuts who didn't fit the mold. 2019 was a growth year but I still call it transitional because the total transition to the operation they have been since 2020 was still in play. I don't see Peterman as anything but a joke of a QB, insert placeholder QB here. Our leadership was of the philosophy that they didnt want to throw Josh to the wolves too early, until they realized the garbage they had in Peterman.
-
cool also help spell this one out for me- in your eyes, Peterman was all 'part of the plan'
-
Oh I am quite sure you know what I meant about 2019, but if I need to spell it out, apologies. Its a growth year with some of their still young picks and they were still adding pieces and working around financial constraints to boot, along with Josh learning more on the fly as a very raw but uber-talented piece of clay that he was.
-
I completely forgot about him.

I disagree. What I see is a great comparison of videos showing the importance of quality offensive line play. The first video shows the D-line winning with the stunt, leaving Davis nowhere to go. The second video shows our o-line picking up the stunt, giving Cook room to operate. Of course, from there, Cook worked serious magic, showing how dangerous he is. If he was the RB in the first video, he would have been stuffed, like Davis.

Heck as fans we might as well enjoy being on top as much as possible, even tho it's only been 2 weeks go ahead and speculate, look ahead, revel in other teams struggles whatever, as fans you gotta enjoy these moments cause we all know what can happen in football... One play and it can all change, I watch these games and it's so intense and violent I know we feel our team has bad luck with injuries but it happens to all of them, these players are doing things that push the human body to the edge, as a fan I am not surprised or frustrated with any injury to any player anymore, its just what it is now -
Are there any personal goals you are trying to achieve now?

I'm old with a bad back, a bad neck, bad knees, etc...........my only goal these days is just trying to stay alive with the least amount of pain possible. UGH -

I don't think you're going to see Rapp or Bishop acting as LB. Prank. Funny AF though. -

We need to wrap up the #1 seed by week 18 to give our defense two full weeks of rest. With our schedule and our division that is a very doable outcome if we stay focused and don't drop any stupid games. -
Holy crap, I'm finally coming to Buffalo! 53 years in the making

If you go to Schwabl’s, it would be a shame not to have the German potato salad. I flew in a week ago today and took my wife there straight from the airport. Be forewarned, the building is so old the men’s room is no bigger than the bathroom on the plane….but at least it’s inside! There are a lot of great places for BoW and I tried several of them. There was just not enough time for all the foods I was craving! -
of course you can post more. you post them constantly. do you realize your one of the top posters on this forum because you post like a maniac every day. i'm not telling you not to, but you're the exact type of person who consumes all day, from a directed feed, made specifically to agree with out. i don't blame social media, i blame people that don't understand what they're getting. do you really think this takes up a large portion of campus life? i guarantee it doesn't, but you sure don't realize that because your reality on college campuses is what's being pumped into that brain of yours. you know why most media outlets including fox news won't show this? it's not hardcore news. it's fringe news that you want to consume. i've heard on here about how colleges are a scam...how colleges are programing anti-americans, etc. it's the great dumbing down of america. just because you find news that fits your narrative, don't assume that other can't find proper news on their own. the adults are talking.

I can't fault a player for putting on their big boy pants and wanting to make plays

On a lighter level, that's the NFL draft every year on TBD. "I read these scouting reports so I think he will be good and if anyone disagrees, they're wrong. If the coaches don't draft them, they don't know what they're doing and should be fired." I fell into that with Josh Allen. I read more negatives about him, specifically accuracy and I was bummed when we drafted him. I wanted Rosen because those scouting reports had more positives, he was more pro-ready. That's all it took for me to get on the Rosen train.

I would have to disagree somewhat. While not #1 WR money, the Bills paid: -$5.9M for 13 1/2 games, 1 1/2 playoff games from Emmanuel Sanders (45 receptions) ($131k per reception, $393k per game) -$1.9M for 4 games, 6 receptions from Jamison Crowder ($316k per reception, $475k per game) -$12.5M so far for (so far) 14 games, 31 receptions from Curtis Samuel ($403k per reception, $898k per game) For comparison, Stefon Diggs was paid $78M over 4 playing years and appeared in 73 games with 398 receptions ($196k per reception, $1.07M per game not counting last year's dead cap after whatever went awry). Something something about paying for production - Diggs was paid more per game, but a bargain on a per-reception basis vs. Crowder or Samuel) In the same time period (2021-2024) the Bills used a 6th round pick and 2 5th round picks on WR and finally a 1st in 2024. One has to believe that if they hadn't signed Sanders, then Crowder, then Samuel, Beane might have put a bit higher priority on acquiring WR talent in the draft. It's a mug's game to scan the drafts and say "we coulda had this guy, we coulda had that guy" but I believe there were some guys in the 2nd-4th round I think we must consider the opportunity cost of trading a 3rd and paying $819k to Amari Cooper : 8 games, 20 receptions ($102k per game, $40k per reception isn't much, but the big loss was the 3rd down pick IMO. Perhaps @JGMcD2 can help me frame how to think about that. My opinion overall is that Beane has tried to "cheap it" a bit much at WR and the Bills offense and ability to draft have suffered for it. And while the Diggs trade was a home run at the time, once the Bills offered him a 2nd contract and then "things fell apart" it became a problem, in the bad sense of the word.

He may be, and I hope you're right. However, it won't surprise me if he has difficult moments against the Dolphins. Neither will it upset me. Learning experiences are good. He's not Micah yet. -
Wouldn't it be better before he got hurt? LOL
