So happy for James and the morale of the team as a whole. Cook was T1 in TD's and T2 in all purpose TD's. The heart he showed on that goal-line diving td against KC showed his desire to do whatever it takes to help this team succeed. We got em locked for 4 more years. Keep working on his blocking and gradually increase his snap count. We'll need him on the field in late game leverage moments. -
2nd Window for Superbowl Taking Shape

It's our time in the AFC. I expect to see one of either us or the Ravens in the Super Bowl this year against the Lions, Commanders or Eagles. -

Guy had a random scapular fracture as a rook, but still played in 16 games, started 4, and started.pur playoff game against the Chiefs. He had no significant injury concerns in college. He's barely a year into his career. If he doesn't start and misses 5+ games this year, then you can label him a red flag. I expect him to show out as the season progresses. -

Interesting point. Don't know if this has been noticed yet, but if it has I haven't seen it. Both Spotrac and OvertheCap have the contract total at $46M, not $48M Also, OvertheCap has the FULLY GUARANTEED money at $15.28M. (Ah, Spotrac agrees.) I'm sure the rest is guaranteed against injury, but this looks like the contract numbers originally released had been plumped up a bit, probably by the agents. Surprise, surprise!! This legitimately is a risk they're taking here. IMO if Cook stays healthy it'll look like a good risk. If he gets injured, particularly in the next three years, it will be a contract that bites the Bills. Cook is young, he'll turn 26 late in September, so this contract goes through his age 30 season. They're likely to keep limiting his snaps, or so I believe anyway. There's a decent chance he stays healthy through his age 26, 27 and 28 seasons. Only a part of that next season four years from now, will be guaranteed, and we don't yet know how much. But he could probably be cut (if it's for performance or financial reasons, not for injury) without any cap problems, before the the third year of the extension, 2028, if he starts regressing or has problems with injuries cropping up. -

Interesting stuff, cool story; I remember hearing Jim Richter had become a pilot. I’m guessing your airline was AA. -
It's all one window, a window that is open from 2020 till Josh gets too old. You say, "NFL windows are short," and that's nonsense. Some NFL windows last a year. Some are short. Some are a bit longer and some are damn long. The Pats window lasted like 16 or 17 years. The Chiefs six years so far. Ours has a long way to go.

Tone it down… Hijacking a thread?… Surely you can’t be serious… This place is stiffer than a catholic priest at a Chuck E. Cheese’s. -

I know, and the measly 18 touchdowns. Just give the ball to someone else. Plus 4.9 yards per carry is trash. -

I agree with what he said but transition was a bit odd I thought. He’s a good dude and coach but still not sure he can deliver the Lombardi. Who knows though. -
Probably not worth it’s own thread but found Jordan’s response to giving away a Dolphin jersey funny. Loved him as a Bill. Interesting dude. He looked washed last year with us and last year but what a warrior in his prime. Driving to KC with the broken rib….. https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2025/08/jordan-poyers-blunt-five-word-response-about-dolphins-jersey-has-bills-fans-in-stitches.html?outputType=amp

I mean, maybe? Training Camp depth charts don't mean a whole lot. But combine that with Codrington starting the game and it's hard for me to say right now that they view Shenault the #1 Returner. Things can change and Shenault could be the lead Return man at some point in the Pre-Season. But again, until I see that, and perhaps Codrington being showcased later in the final games, I don't believe they view Shenault as above Codrington.

I wanted to hear Adonai Mitchell. As he continued to slide, word came out why he slid and I thought "okay, Keon makes sense then". Bc as far as what we needed, Keon and Mitchell were the only two worth taking there and then I felt there was a drop off after them. I was shocked to see Ja'Lynn Polk go 4 picks later but it just went to show how slim the pickens were if you wanted an Outside guy at that point.

Talent gets you on the field. And Hancock has that. He started on the Buckeyes Nat Championship team. So he can play football. He will be good for us. And he has a much higher ceiling than Lewis and Hamlin. -

I think it could be a combo of the 2, I fdon't think the Bills staff think he can handle the workload otherwise why would they take him out? I mean he came out in a crucial time in that playoff game with the Chiefs, I'm not sure if he was injured or not but if not that was pretty telling to me. Also he's not a good blocker at all which would explain alot, knowing the Chiefs were probably bringing the heat probably played a big factor in the decision. -

Didn't McDermott bench and then maybe make Taron Johnson a gameday inactive at some point early in his career? Included public comments of a similar nature IIRC Reminds me of Terrel Bernard entering his 2nd season. Hurt for majority of preseason, then gets healthy just in time and is named starter, never looks back (except for continued smattering of injuries). Hopefully Bishop gets back out there and doesn't let go of his opportunity. -
20 years without a viable QB will make a franchise look really bad. Just like an MVP at the position will make it look really good. Hard to be successful in the first situation and hard not to be in the second.

The Alaskan summit is scheduled for Friday, August 15th, in Anchorage, Alaska, between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump's Approach: Trump has described the meeting as a "listening exercise". He has also suggested that he might visit Russia after the Alaska summit. The administration has gone out of it's way to avoid calling this meeting as 'negotiations' . This one is just to assess Putin's seriousness about ending the war. The following meeting would include Zelenskyy

Let’s get Beane for this! Can’t let him rest of his Jimbo laurels. Not only was he targeting a position (should always be BPA! Right?), but he didn’t even go Best WR Available. He was in the weeds with body type. Ladd streaking across a deep safety on a skinny post is miles better than some jump balls that are half out of bounds. Take that Beane! (:bows down and begs for forgiveness:)

Gen Z, just know that we Gen Xers wanted you to have the lives we did growing up. The Boomers only care about themselves. Millennials do nothing but complain. Those 2 groups broke everything. Obviously exceptions - there are smart boomers and millennials - they will never vote democrat. i suspect that most of what irks gen X is that we had created a fun, freewheeling, post-racial, minimal-politics society, and a bunch of weakminded thieves of joy came along and politicized the world into unfun, identity-based struggle sessions that made everything they touched horrible and divisive. kids today have no idea how much was taken from them because they have lived their whole lives under wokester warlord hall monitor rule and have never even tasted this joy and freedom. and it's time they did.
