Moore is open all the way through this, this imo should be a TD. Throw the ball to moore before he makes his break and this seems like a simple TD and I bet moore would have looked really wide open. Just didn't pull the trigger because it appears he is going short to long in his read. Even if he hits Davis with a clean throw he may score if he makes the guy miss.

I don’t agree that James Cook is the best player on offense but I do think that his delta from his performance and a league average performance is maybe 2-3 wins at this point. And there’s no one else sans Josh that is even close to that. He is as single-handedly winning games as any running back can be. He is the only other dude with juice on the team.

By saying that Allen is the primary reason the Bills have been to the playoffs 6 straight seasons, have won 5 straight division titles and have been a leading SB contender the last 5 seasons is not the same thing as saying Allen is the "savior" and is "perfect". Clearly no NFL QB is perfect or even close to being perfect throughout an entire season. And those of us defending Allen have never said he was. But you are deluding yourself if you think that this team minus Allen would have had near the success it has had over the last 6 seasons. And yes McD & Bean are good at their jobs. The question has always been are they good enough?

Remember, in training camp and in the beginning of the season, Josh was intentionally looking for Coleman, and they worked a lot on their timing. That's all gone away now. Now it seems Josh seems only to go to Keon on throws that are contested catches where Keon has to win a 50-50 battle for the ball. Three years ago, two years ago, when we all were saying Josh was the MVP and he wasn't getting the award, he was hitting wide open receivers a lot because the schemes were getting guys open and Josh understood where those openings were. Now, it seems like every completion is a struggle. Cook and Johnson have disappeared from the passing game. Kincaid and Knox have disappeared. I simply don't believe that all of these guys are that much worse than all the other receivers in the league.

It makes sense. The Bills laid two consecutive eggs. No one performs at 100%, 100% of the time. It's very possible that the preparation intensity level dropped, leading to disappointing performances. Is Josh running less and less efficiently? His numbers at least so far look similar to averages and other games for 2023 and 2024. IMO he’s getting happy feet in the pocket & making a few bad throws when the first reads are to the wideouts and a bit frustrated with the result. I don’t think the wideouts are providing adequate windows. Run game is fine, passing to the TE and slot seems to be working. We have no production in the passing attack going to the wideouts. Seems pretty obvious to me as to what’s broken. Only other thing I’d add is that I’d like to see the RB’s used to catch a few balls.

I'm ALREADY annoyed about the "Bills always beat them in the regular & lose to them in the playoffs" narrative. Like Manning never eventually got past the Pats, or Jordan never ended up getting past the Pistons, or basically an endless list of sports narratives being true until they weren't.

He made one like it to Kincaid yesterday. The 3 sideline throws he's made over the last 2 games that went incomplete because the WR's couldn't get both feet in bounds was vintage Allen, particularly the throw to Shakir on 3rd & 10 against the Falcons. The 19 yard TD strike to Knox on 3rd & 13 in the Atlanta game was vintage Allen as was the opening play 50 yard strike to Palmer.

You gotta understand context to appreciate OJ's accomplishments. First of all, the NFL was different back then. Even though QBs were already producing more yards than RBs, RBs were still considered just as important. In the 1960s when OJ was drafted, more RBs than QBs won Heisman trophies and got picked first overall. OJ's rookie contract was the biggest rookie contract in history, surpassing any QB's. So defenses were built differently back then. Nickel and Dime defenses were called "Pass-Prevent" and mostly used only at the very end of a half. OJ played against heavy 4-3 and 3-4 fronts - no light boxes ever. Coaches thought you had to "establish the run first" to make downfield passing work, so defenses were determined to stop offenses from running. LBers were big, brawny, blood-thirsty thugs who took sadistic joy in punishing RBs, not the small, rangy, coverage LBs of today. DEs were freakishly huge bone-crushing run-stuffers, rather than pirouetting sack-artists with elite "lean" like Von. Finally, OJ was the engine of the Bills offense so opposing defenses had one clear overriding goal: stop OJ - or at least slow him down. In 1973, when OJ rushed for 2,000+, our QB (Joe Ferguson) passed for less than 1,000 yards despite starting every game. The main function of a Bills QB was to hand off to OJ and defenses knew this. As for the Thanksgiving game in Detroit, I remember thinking that the numbers were great but (1) we lost, and (2) it wasn't OJ's best game in the sense that the holes were bigger than in some other games, the yards easier to come by. In terms of athleticism and artistry, OJ has better games. Then again, the Bills QB that day was backup Gary Marangi. He wasn't quite as bad as Nate Peterman, but comes very close. He went 4 of 21 for 29 yards and a pick on that Thanksgiving. In other words, our passing attack was no threat at all and the Lions were entirely focused on stopping OJ yet couldn't.
