  1. Past hour
  2. That one pass is one of my favorite Bills memories - and in a preseason game! But so full of promise and, finally, hope -- !! The NY Times wrote up that single throw extensively the next day. Here is what they said: The New Era Field crowd had given Allen a standing ovation when he was announced as Buffalo’s new quarterback to begin the second half. Then he showed off the arm that made him the seventh overall draft choice and has captured so many imaginations. Redmond didn’t know exactly what would happen on Allen’s debut play, but it called for max protection. “Usually that means we’re taking a shot,” Redmond said. Allen faked a handoff to running back Marcus Murphy, then dropped back even farther. “The play call had some deep routes,” Murphy said, “and I think it was all up to him.” As Redmond helped hold the Panthers at bay, his mental clock told him the ball should’ve been thrown already. “But it wasn’t,” he said. Redmond couldn’t help but wonder if they’d be scraping Allen off the artificial turf. Panthers DB Gaulden was in the middle of the field and read Allen’s deep setup. Gaulden had two receivers to survey yet didn’t wonder for long who Allen’s target would be. Allen quickly patted the ball twice while locking on receiver Robert Foster, sprinting up the left sideline. “He’s staring one receiver down the whole time,” Gaulden said. “That’s what you expect from a rookie quarterback. He just let it loose.” Rookie or not, Allen’s release could be compared to few others in recent NFL memory. “We heard the roar,” said Redmond, “when the ball went up.” Allen’s majestic spiral whistled 60 yards through the humid, night air. This was why the Bills traded up to draft him. This was why fans stood and applauded when Allen simply entered the game. Panthers cornerback Kevon Seymour wasn’t on the field, but the former Bill watched in awe from the sideline. “When he got in there and showed that deep ball,” Seymour said, “I was, like, whooof!”
  3. I have no idea how anyone can be a dt fan. He literally led an effort that involved most congressional and many GOP senators, combined with state-by-state local efforts with fake lectors to delay and then overthrow a fair election. He is a traitor by any definition. He brings no special talents or team members to make our future better. Actually, I do have an idea on dt supporters - either willfully ignorant, racist, brainwashed, myopically rich or simply so angry for some reason they want to destroy the pillars of our country that made it great.... just to get even in some imaginary score
  4. Would any of you on here fight Hill?
  5. How good is Minnesota? UB opens there and I'm wondering if there's any upset potential?
  6. That's what I'm stating as I hate that a team award matters for individual ones. SBs aren't BS for fans, organization, and Allen for that matter but shouldn't weigh in on overall Hall of Fame resumé. I don't even think they list Wins in QB statistics, but still people make a bigger deal than it should be about it. Hall of Fame is simple....were you in the top 2 or 3 in your position in your era for a decade? That's the basics.
  7. Unless you've got in up to your neck in boomercon news media, no, this does not "sound good to MAGA." Any so-called "conservative" with power backing this is so clearly up the ass of billionaire developers and pro-invasion traitors that they have to flush ***** out of their sinuses daily. And any so-called "conservative" without power signaling this as a good idea is either 1. stupid 2. willfully ignorant or 3. so brainwashed by high school level lolbertarianism they should probably be lobotomized.
  8. Check that, just found the highlight - 60 yards. Total beast. Watched his second half highlights from that game, you could see clearly what he is today that preseason game. Laser arm, toughness, running ability.
  9. Great way to build a team... Ignore your team's glaring weaknesses on defense... Ignore the fact that you already have a top tier, and I say elite, running back, and a young one at that... Instead, create a glaring need by "letting Cook walk". And instead of improving your team, eliminating a clear weakness and turning it into a strength, just spin your wheels--and also just hope that Henderson is as good as Cook. Makes perfect sense.
  10. At least it looks like they put little to no time or thought into this.
  11. SBs are not BS. That is the whole purpose for every team/fanbase in the NFL. If Allen never gets to Super Bowl, it won't change the fact that his career will end up in Canton when it's all said and done.
  12. He throws up 60,000 yards and the fact that he will have the most tds (pass/rush) since he came into the league....1st ballot. SB are BS. Who cares.
  13. Not sure what you expected him to do. He caught the ball in the middle of the field and immediately ran towards the sideline. There was a defender between him and the sideline. He tried to make him miss. He prob could have ran backwards and gone out but then the clock doesn’t stop. if he gave himself up immediately they may have had enough time to spike it.
  14. Man, 2018 seems like yesterday. Who could forget the Peterman start in Baltimore? Or Josh's first start at home against San Diego where our corner quit at halftime! Was so hot that day, hottest Bills game I think I ever attended. I remember also Josh's first pass in the preseason - just walking to my seats after halftime and he throws a laser 40-50 yards down the field - just missed at the sideline by, I think, Robert Foster. Seemed like he was destined to be great as soon as I saw that preseason pass, even though an incompletion. Anyone remember that one?
  15. Looks ideal for an Mbappe jersey! Wow with that PSG style... surprised that PSG didn't initiate any sort of legal action with a blatant copy like that. Add a collar and white sleeve stripes and somehow it is different!
  16. Should have drafted Henderson and moved on from Cook while getting a comp pick back
  17. I'm sure his haircuts don't matter to his female admirers. But clean cut and shaved Josh looks like his young rookie look. The styled hair and scruff give him the more mature manly look. I bet if you poled the people that romantically fancy him, the current more "playboy" look is sexier. I'm straight but can acknowledge a handsome man. Not that there is anything wrong with that!
  18. I saw them. They headlined the last show at the Century theater.
  19. I think his career will go similar to Elway's. Different game back then and Elway didn't run for TDs like Allen does. But during his era Elway was a QB who was known to run if he had to extend the play or avoid the rush. But as he got older, he was basically a pocket passer at that point in his career. Of course, it didn't hurt that he had Davis to hand the ball off too. I expect Allen will run less and less as the years go by. Just like Elway did.
  20. I specifically separated him which is why I stated talent wise brown or Milano. Question was not who’s the best player after Allen? Love Tre for his time here and personality. To answer your question, he’s by no means a lock to make team. If he does make it he won’t be starting.
  21. Why did you post a pic of Espera Oscar de Corti?
  22. Today
  23. If the playoff games are truly tilted like everybody suspects, Josh Allen might be the greatest NFL player of all time.
  24. I remember Johnson was the one receiver who gave Revis the most trouble. Revis usually shut everybody down.
  25. He's not talking about his route running ability, but his ability to release and get off the line. Stevie was amazing there, to the point where I heard the coaches didn't want him to practice their release drills. It was like "whatever you do, we can't improve on it and we don't want to tamper with it" Stevie was not a precise route runner. He excelled in Chan Gailey's offense where Chan taught "beat your man, get to the spot", not so much in SFO or SDG where the expectation was to run an exact route. That's how it looked, but a good bit of it was the receiver having options, and needing to be on the same page as the QB (and give the QB good body language) about what he was going to do. We've seen that with Josh a few times. There was one notable play where he was actually penalized for "intentional grounding" when it seemed quite obvious to the announcers and most people in the stadium that it was an option route and the receiver and he weren't on the same page. One of the film guys even diagrammed the route options and what Josh expected and why.
