There’s something different about McD this season…
harmonkillebrew replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. I'm pretty satisfied with McD's job this year and overall growth as a HC. He used to be pretty bad at game management and not aggressive enough, but most of that has changed. He saw the way the D couldn't stop Burrow and was really aggressive early on, in turn. He went for the jugular on that 4th down throw to Hawes. I think he's solid. I think the OC and DC let him down sometimes and I think Beane hasn't hit on personnel. But McD is not our issue. -
That has always gotten misunderstood.. and I still stand by what I meant.. BB would take Jones over Allen (in the draft with the same write up for both going into the draft as they had when drafted) because he believes he only needs a game manager and someone who won’t turn the ball over.. that was never ever meant to mean Jones. Is better than Allen..

More Bengals Blunders. Trey Hendrickson to have surgery.

Yes, we have to be bold to get over the top and win the SB. Why don’t we get difference makers! Beane is asleep at the wheel and afraid to make moves! NOW is the time to go all in with Josh in his prime! Am I doing this right? -

I think bettors are figuring they have as good a shot as any to get the 1 seed in the AFC, which is a huge bump in a team’s chances to get to the Super Bowl. -

I doubt Brady would need anybody on the inside to suggest doing something other than trying to run through that brick wall in the middle of the field on every first down might be a pleasant switch... especially since every single defensive coordinator in the league takes that play for granted! The Bills are pretty much guaranteed to be facing second and at least eight on practically every series! Another pet peeve here... how about snapping the freaking ball at different times on a regular basis instead of letting the defense know it ain't ever gonna get snapped with more than 3 seconds left on the clock! Try snapping it at around 10 seconds once in a while... besides scaring the hell out of the defense it may even be rewarded by a few offside penalties here and there if the opponent doesn't know exactly when we're gonna be snapping the ball. -
The race for the AFCS is going to be a good one to watch between the Jaguars and Texans.

Biden was warned his soft-on-immigration proposals would cause ‘chaos’ — but he ignored it, damning memo reveals by Emily Crane President Joe Biden was warned by advisers that his immigration plans could lead to “chaos” at the US border — but he ignored them, a newly uncovered memo reveals. His team doled out the advice to Biden when he was still campaigning against President Trump back in 2020, the New York Times reported. “A potential surge could create chaos and a humanitarian crisis, overwhelm processing capacities and imperil the agenda of the new administration,” Biden’s advisers wrote. The memo warned that a huge influx was possible given Biden’s approach, a backlog from the Trump administration, and COVID hardships. https://nypost.com/2025/12/08/us-news/biden-was-warned-his-soft-on-immigration-proposals-would-cause-chaos-but-he-ignored-it-damning-memo-reveals/ Who is Emily Crane and why should I care about what she reports on ?

Heck, I often show up to games 5 or 6 beers deep these days. I feel judged!

Nothing better than a contentious environment looming right before the holidays to liven up the office Xmas party. But seriously, if this were the case, rather it than “oh well, we’re trying”. Probably more commonplace than most think. -
I think that Pegula and Adams believe in their process and people so strongly, that they expect that at some point on the plane of time it will turn around and the results will come. Everything at that point would be fixed. It is bunk though. The franchise is their personal pillow fort and players consistently lose drive, focus, and are generally put into a state of not caring. What is needed is for the franchise to do a 180. Pegula hires someone like Shanahan at the top, culls off a pile of the grifters immediately (Adams, Appert, Ruff, Forton, Nightingale, Crowe, Ventura, Staal, etc) and announce the beginning of a new era. Apology to the fans, and promise that this point forward is different, and Shanahan has full control and will immediately work on finding a GM. I guarantee the fans would be reinvigorated, and there would be energy we havent seen in over a decade. The players would almost definitely respond and we would see an immediate bump. Suddenly everyone wouldnt be in such a hurry to get out of here. But no. Pillow fort and Terry's secret password it is.

Funny thing is being the 5 seed COULD be better than the 2 seed.. I rather face Pitt or Baltimore over the Texans. When will people stop looking at this like some sort of true measurement? This also had the chiefs in the top 5 till like 2 weeks ago.. it’s just a bogus as anything.. because who have the Broncos beaten that are current playoff team?

Good. I want him to be under the microscope. The perfect scenario would be we win a Super Bowl this year and McDermot rides off in the sunset as a legend in Buffalo retiring and opening his own wrestling camp. Then Buffalo can hire an offensive minded head coach to win us a few more Super Bowls in Josh‘s prime. -

Actually a smart decision by the Bengals not to extend him. Opposite of a blunder. -

Refreshing that useful idiots are going with the qualifications schtick. Let's play along.... You know what KBJ's most important qualifications are for being nominated and confirmed as a SC Justice? That she is black and she's a woman. Without meeting those two bars she would not have been considered as a nominee. Biden told us that. Ironic that she can't define what a woman actually is without expert assistance, but it's a defining and essential qualification regardless. Kind of diminishes the laundry list of accomplishments from Quack to have whatever you've actually accomplished in your career take a back seat to immutable characteristics that you were born with. Some might even call it racist. Oh and Mike Davis clerked for Gorsuch and runs the Article III project among many other highlights on his resume. He's certainly well qualified to opine on the ramblings of a DEI hire at SCOTUS. -
There has been (33) 1,000 yard rushing seasons by Bills backs in their 66 year history. Currently, James Cook has 1,308 yards, which is good for 9th all time for the team. He is 8 yards from passing Thurman Thomas' 1,315 yards in 1993 for 8th... He is 49 yards from passing Travis Henry's 1,356 yards in 2003 for 7th... ...and long story short, He looks like he is going to pass OJ Simpson's 1976 total of 1,503 for 3rd place all time.* I know what you are thinking..."But Dollars, you gentlemen adventurer and warrior poet**, OJ did 1,503 in only 14 games and Cook gets 17." I hear you, fellow anonymous board member other than the name that is by your avatar. However, don't think of it as games as much as carries. OJ ran for 1,503 on 290 carries. Cook has 1,308 on 249 attempts. If...IF you were to grant James his 5.3 yards per carry average over 41 more attempts it would put him at 1,525 yards on 290 carries. We are still in the hunt for the division...hell, we are still in the hunt for the conference, as well. However, let us not forget the amazing individual achievements that are taking place besides what Josh does on a weekly basis. Go Bills! (* He won't pass OJ's '75 1,817 yards or 1973's 2,003 yards) (** Yes, I stole it from Rooster Teeth...but what is true, is true)

What of it’s a one game injury? Would you let Trunisky walk right now to play for the colts? I wouldn’t. -
Really reminds me of when NE blocked manning from a title for years with kc/buffalo if it was just the bills struggling against kc that would be one thing but outside of the chiefs straight up melting down from an offensive drive before halftime straight through the end of the game against cincy (and only losing by 3 in OT) and having the lost OT coin flip scenario against NE they haven’t lost to an afc team
