Huntley is definitely gone. I would expect Pickett will be too. -
If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...
dave mcbride replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rapp played well vs Denver in the playoffs and came out early due to injury in the Baltimore game. He didn't play vs KC. He's not a superstar but he doesn't suck. He's a decent starting-caliber NFL safety. It's the other position that's the problem, although Bishop at least has physical talent and upside. Hamlin is not quick or fast enough to be starting in any NFL secondary. -
Given the Bills are a team that has been together for a while, now, isn't the preseason the time for the coaches to put players in situations that they struggle with to see how they handle it? Or did something change this offseason and did the league start counting these games in the standings...

Gabriel and Sanders - easy choice. You're not cutting a 3rd round QB year 1. And Cleveland might burn down if Sanders is cut. Pickett and Huntley have shown what they are at this point - 2 P/S type QBs. -
Im basing it on every game Bishop has played. Like I stated, Bishop appears lost, and has from the get go. Im waiting on that lightbulb to turn on. He is penciled in as our starting Safety September 7th, so he better figure it out quick. Carter's first couple games, he flashed. He injured his, wrist, and was below average upon his return. Perhaps injury lingered, and effected his performance. One grading system graded Carter the 5th worst DT in NFL I don't give a ***** about getting blown out in preseason. Preseason is about player evaluations. Players are playing for their NFL lives. The Turk is lurking.

Davis Webb calling plays for the Broncos
Buffalo716 replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course but he's going to have to work his way up from quarterback coach to offensive coordinator to head coach He might get somebody to give him a job as an OC out the gate but it is a long road to a head coaching job He's going to have to be a coordinator for three four years at least -
My eyes (had my preseason goggles on) witnessed Cole Bishop, Buffalo Joe, Van Demark, and Deone Walker's individual efforts during the game and they were downright embarrassing.

Considering you credited Skylar Thompson with 31 points - yeah, you are. One TD came on a Zach Sieler fumble recovery of Josh Allen. You didn’t account for the other two Allen turnovers, or the punt return that gave Miami 3 of their 5 scoring drives starting in Buffalo territory. Not even mentioning the Tyler Bass illegal kick, which spotted them the ball at the Miami 40 and set up another field goal after just a 38-yard drive. I cite a .650 winning percentage. You cite 4 road playoff losses. I point out how close the games were. You say only winning matters. Methinks this isn’t your strong suit.

He does that by having #17.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good rant.

Toyota Tacoma. Who's got one (or at least an opinion on them)
LeviF replied to Goin Breakdown's topic in Off the Wall
Correct, but if I'm reading this guy correctly it's really not going to make much difference to him. Pro/con-wise if it's just a daily driver unibody is fine. -
Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?
billsfan89 replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just don't put too much stock into it. A team came out flat when 90% of their starters weren't playing in a pre-season game. It happens, it isn't the end of the world. Of course the coach is going to be upset because he wants to have sharp executions always. But in the end this isn't something to be worried about to any significant degree. -
Just remember those Super Bowl teams of the early 90's with Levy usually sucked in the preseason and they still went on to have great regular seasons and get back to the Super Bowl. My optimism for the season hasn't changed at all despite these games against the Giants and Bears. I expect the following to happen. 1. The Bills will win the AFCE and quite possibly the #1 seed as the overall schedule isn't that tough. 2. If they don't get the #1 seed, I expect the Bills will play at home on WC weekend and they will win. 3. Getting by the Ravens or Chiefs in the divisional round which is who I expect the Bills will face is real question. We know they can beat Baltimore in the playoffs. Done it twice but KC as of right now is different story.

It would almost funny, if it wasn’t my team harmed by it -
Which is even more discouraging that our 3’s we’re getting punched by the Bears 3’s!

Another one - Trey Hendrickson asks for a trade from Cincy
dave mcbride replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
If this was true, then top teams would be trading for players like Hendrickson all the time. But it virtually never happens. If you look at the teams who have been identified as potential landing spots, its Indy, Carolina, and Cleveland. I used to think like you that the cap doesn't matter, but the trades and signings that DON'T happen among top teams with expensive rosters put the lie to that. Also, the Eagles are currently $30 million under the cap. Why didn't the Bills go and get Davante Adams last season instead of Cooper? Adams is (and has been) a MUCH better receiver than Cooper, but the Bills opted for the latter because they felt they couldn't make it work with the cap. -
https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/joe-flacco-named-starting-quarterback Browns gonna Browns They sign Bond, now name Flacco the starter to throw to him. LOL. The Buffalo Sabres of the NFL.

For Starters only one S back.. with that many WR's and how tight the CB's are playing is god awful crud position to put Cole in. 5 seconds in 1.5 notice everything is headed 5+ yards. 2.5 seconds in. 3 players are headed towards Cole. What player do you choose? Wait.. they still all overed.. 3 seconds in. everyone covered. 3.5 seconds in.. Cole has a player that lost the defender right Infront of him and the wr made a great jump to avoid him. 3 things are at fault this play. #1.. we RARELY would be just 1 back with so many WR on the field. #2. WTH is that defender doing on the 20? #3. Cole needed to make a decision a second quicker.. BUT.. 1 second quicker everyone was covered.

Ridgelines are unibody I believe... No frame. Even be careful with F150 Sport. We got one at work and you can't plow with it. How stupid. Dumped it back to GSA, now have a SuperDuty... The thing is a monster. Full CrewCab... Even I and you would too need a lift up into it. LoL... As long as you can plow snow with it... Why even make say an F150 that can't take any kinda of plow... Even the smallest.

Another one - Trey Hendrickson asks for a trade from Cincy
NewEra replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that’s kind of the point. It rarely ever comes back to bite teams because 2 Super Bowl contenders within the same conference rarely trade impact players to one another. -
Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really? What stats? 27th in sacks(8) last year. 25 total in 4 years. Ok I should have said struggles to be a consistent average starter. He flashes at times and then disappears for large portions of the season. Doesn't mean he can't get better. Having a better DE on the other side will help. I 100% agreed with picking up his option and the contract extension he got was fair for both sides. All love man!
