Beans and Sean - Should we miss the SB again
Casey D replied to Cubanmist 1's topic in The Stadium Wall
That is all true. My point was that many thought Cowher would never win a SB. But his teams were always good and he finally broke through. Management gave him the time. The Bills will do the same with Beane and McDermott as long as the team keeps performing at a very high level. So, everyone can piss and moan all they want about firing people, but it ain't gonna happen anytime soon unless one of you buys the team from Mr. Pegula. -
The takes after this loss are so wild and in a lot of cases just not accurate.

I'm not sure what to make of Brady. Is he holding back, maybe at McDermott's request, playing conservative ball to take the win? Or is this all he can do with the best quarterback in the league, a terrific line (and line coach) and running back, and the best tight-end trio in the league--against bottom-half teams? Maybe Babich is struggling because of a dearth of talent to work with, but you can't say the same of Brady. My growing sense is that he's just a guy who happened to be around when McDermott needed someone to take over. I credit him for turning things around, and I'm not giving up on him yet, but he's been dealt pocket aces and so far this year he's playing like he has 5-7 off.

where's AJ Klein when ya need him? heading to disney again?

McConkey had an 1149 yard season and Thomas had a 1282 yard season. They’ve been bad this year so far but they have PROVEN that they can be the focal point of an offense. The Bills would trade Keon for either in 1 second. I absolutely believe that they would have been better picks. Lol, that’s not a controversial take. If you think that the Bills, in need of a guy at the top of the depth chart, expected him to be a rotational piece with Josh Palmer and Curtis Samuel, I have a bridge for sale. They wanted “the” guy and got “a” guy. Maybe he improves. There is nothing that the Bills need more at this point than for him to get better (besides better play in the secondary). No one is saying he has no chance to improve. With that being said, as of today, he’s a disappointment. This is not the level of play that the Bills had hoped for when they took him at 33.

To be fair, it's worth observing that our o-line only started getting really good in 2022 when we brought Kromer back (and his previous stint also coincided with the last time we had strong o-line play before that). Plus our best lineman, Dawkins, was a Whaley pick. Don't get me wrong, it's nice that 8 years into the McBeane regime we have at least ONE position group of strength (could probably say two with the TE group this year). But when you say "he sucks at finding defensive talent and WR's", you do realize that's like... 60% of the 53 man roster, right? That's an awful lot of suckitude 😅 -

Got data? What prevents them from moving there at will? Nothing obviously. Truly a pointless comment. Embarrassing. -

There are plenty of low and no profit urban hospitals in blue cities that can start closing too. The issues around health care service and outcomes are socioeconomic and not political. -

Rural America voted for Trump. Let the healthcare cuts happen and start closing those low profit rural hospitals. Their kids and many of the doctors would rather live in the cities anyways. Let Republicans own all. -

The Jets went to back-to-back AFCCG's with Rex Ryan. The last playoff win wasn't 1968 -

Terry said that both men report to him and they have equal power. Neither one can fire the other as only Terry has the power to fire them. -
Yeah, the Bucks really needed a future #1 pick at QB to avoid struggling to a winning record this year. They're a Saban Alabama monster now.

OK, bud. I guess I miss-read when you said the lack of elite talent on the Bills would make them a 9-8 or 8-9 team when Josh plays "pedestrian" football. The point is, that is the exact same thing with the Bengals, the Ravens, the Chiefs and whoever else regardless of their "elite" talent around their QBs. The elite QBs don't play elite and every team is mediocre. Not too hard to connect the dots, son. But continue on with your diatribes against that "soulless ginger", you do you.
