  1. Past hour
  2. Some crazy things done back in the day......since I wasn't a Bills fan when OJ played it was WILD to see his accomplishments. That dude had moves.
  3. I think we all have to remember that preseason football is a glorified practice. Besides not scheming for the opponent, guys could be working on specific things/techniques. We really don't know. I don't need the preseason to evaluate guys we've already seen at the NFL level. Mainly just want to see how the rookies look, given the size and speed of the NFL. That being said, Walker looked the part. He looked like the dancing bear, that big Ed describes. Sanders looked solid. Landon looked like he doesn't belong. He looked every bit as stiff in College. I also never understood the love that this guy got.
  4. Line up Walker out on the edge.
  5. Interesting you don't add Mike White to the conversation for good day. Played around half the time with just about the same stats... 1 more TD with a few less yards. I would like to see White with #1's next preseason game for first half to see what he brings to the table. I disagree with Dane Jackson.. He had some darn near perfect balls thrown his way... not much you can do about that. He tacked well and kept players in front of him other than 1 long play where the SS was in no mans land doing god only know what.... I do like Strong. Great write up cheers!
  6. Smells Like Teen Spirit would be a good one..
  7. You're over selling this narrative. A lot of those snaps were when players like Casey Rogers and Zion Logue were on the field. The top 4 DTs and top 4 EDGEs are what actually matter. I would bet by the time the season starts that will be Oliver/Jones/Sanders/Walker and Rousseau/Bosa/Epenesa/Hoecht (probably Solomon until Hoecht comes back which will be a notable weak link). Those players as a whole performed very well yesterday. I do remain concerned that the coverage will not be good enough for the pass rush to matter, and that includes the coverage scheme and play calling as much as it does coverage talent, but that's a different conversation. On the whole I feel really good about the talent Beane added to the DL this season. A lot of it will depend on Bosa staying healthy.
  8. He doubled down in his podcast and went even further, stating that he was the best Bills player on the field.
  9. Exactly
  10. Im not concerned based on one vanilla preseason game with limited reps for higher end guys. But this fanbase is far beyond giving McDermott a pass. His Defense has been THE biggest reason we haven’t gotten to the Super Bowl and it’s the same issues every year. Last year we got the bonus of a bad regular season defense plus the bad postseason defense.
  11. I’ve heard chicks dig the long bow, or something like that….. I enjoy classical or soft jazz as background music. It’s better than having the TV running all the time, which I can be guilty of. Side note: Our son played second violin in middle school. There was no first violin, but he was where he belonged. It did not break my heart when he gave it up.
  12. Heh. I haven't dialed up since 2000. Crazy that people still do.
  13. Yea, I’m not thinking any of these guys are going to be Chris Jones or Micah Parsons this year, but I do think the addition of Sanders, Walker, Hoecht and Bosa drastically increases the talent & potential around Oliver and Rousseau. That increase in surrounding talent has me hoping Rousseau and Oliver can take another step when they’re not the only guys the other team is worried about on passing downs.
  14. By the end of of the regular season, Rapp and Bishop need to stay healthy and play well and we need Hairston to be a plus player.
  15. I get what you guys are saying, I'm a known McD doubter, especially when it comes to playoff time. But the Giants played their starting QB and are trying different things with bringing Dart along yesterday. We started Trubisky, then moved to White, and our situation is very different. I'd also argue that coaching/playcalling IS the difference in the postseason, and that's been the problem. But whatevs, preseason game 1 down.
  16. I would agree if struggling to get to the QB plus a weakness at 3rd and long weren't issues which have occured on numerous occasions during competitive games.
  17. Agreed. He had a good game as well
  18. In my Christopher Walken voice " You make me laugh"
  19. While I tend/want to believe this is true, I don’t have a lot of confidence. Groot and Oliver are low sack guys, Sanders and Walker are rookies, Hoecht is sitting out six guys and Bosa has struggled staying healthy. Here’s hoping the DL is a strength this year!
  20. I was saying I wish he had a generational hof caliber guy but at the same time I expect big things from this group. I think overall this should be his best WR group I see both sides regarding Beane, I mean Gabe was his WR2 for a cpl years and he's a FA in August, pretty unbelievable but this was the 2nd highest scoring O last year, so I understand why he isn't desperate to get that elite talent , also , he did go and get Diggs while 17 was developing
  21. Hawes is ahead of him because of his blocking. That will be the TE3's primary job this year. His drop yesterday was brutal but he also had several blocking reps that looked like this: Davidson needed to catch every pass in his vicinity to have even a small of chance of making the roster.
  22. If Lundt is good enough to make the team, then they are going to trade VandeMark. They had RVD at RT yesterday because that is his weak spot and I would say he held up only okay there. He is much more natural at Left Tackle but its extremely hard to make a team year after year when you can only play 1 out of 5 OL Positions. If Lundt can play both he'll make the team and RVD will be traded for another team that is desperate for O line help.
  23. My favorite player on the team! Anyway, to Shavers….he just looks the part when he’s on the field. I hope the Bills not only keep him but give him a legitimate chance to be a difference maker. I think he’s up to the task.
  24. I remember when Bob Gibson gave up that double in Spring training. The Cardinals were stupid not to cut him but they lucked out.
  25. Do we call you Two Times Jimmy Two Times, or do you prefer Jimmy Four Times?
