So alpha I think in Allen rookie year he said " I can't throw the ball down the field and catch it also" it is a team game.

Tua is a good dude and a good QB. He’s not a very good or great QB. He does not elevate the play of those around him which great QB’s (Josh, Mahomes) do. It’s well known what his limitations are - off script plays, throwing deep outside the numbers, so good teams take away his first read and clog the middle. It’s not that complicated, and a lot of teams don’t have the talent to do that. If McDaniel stuck to the run a lot more and Miami invested in their O-line instead of paying bajillions to wide outs and washed up CBs they’d be a better team. McDaniel can’t help himself with the play calling and their GM is an outright disaster and must have pics of Roth with a goat because there is no reason for him to still be employed. -
Please read. The cut off text: 1. It should be emphasized that it began, more or less, as a political smear campaign, designed for electoral advantage, that was then co-opted into a full blown information operation against the duly elected President and the American people. Shouting “They wanted to throw Trump in jail from the very beginning!” is just rejected out of hand, as it’s too jarring to their worldview. When they can be shown that what started as little white lies and insinuations were then built upon with bigger and more dangerous lies that eventually resulted in massive domestic and foreign crises with longterm ramifications, they can begin to understand how important it still is for accountability and historical accuracy. 2. The smear was co-opted into a full blown operation by Obama officials, intelligence agencies, and the mainstream media. They all knew from the very beginning that it wasn’t a situation of Trump secretly receiving orders from Putin himself, but in their zeal to support Hillary, and their horror that Trump’s message of calling them “fake news” was actually resounding with the American public, they were hand in hand a driving force behind kneecapping the President. When they claimed his joke about Russia finding Hillary’s emails was evidence of collusion, it was originally intended to maybe sway some low information voters from voting R to voting D. But when they saw the opportunity to partner with dirty swamp creatures to heighten the narrative to “existential” and even “criminal” levels, they didn’t even think twice.

Certainly not you and other level-headed posters/commenters. But I see Bills fans absolutely trashing Cook on reddit and twitter, and even some here. He made ONE comment (not post, COMMENT) on Social Media and you'd think he killed a baby at the 50 yard line. To the last line, all good. I've said before, I totally understand the general philosophy of not paying RBs. But you also wouldnt pretend Bijan or Gibbs are bad players in order to justify not paying them. A looooong time ago, right around when Beane came on board and we were discussing strategies of building a team I even said something along the lines of "the 2nd round is the sweet spot for RBs (thinking of Thurman and some others). Take a RB in the 2nd, use him for 4 years, then take another RB in the 2nd". However, that was predicated on hitting on a lot of other draft picks too. Unfortunately, with Beane's track record on 1st and 2nd round picks, they are too valuable to cycle guys out like that. If he had hit on just a couple of others (give me Justin Simmons and AJBrown/Metcalf in 2019), then I'd be more inclined to just let him walk. But we arent paying any WRs, and it doesnt look like we plan to. There arent many (any) other big threats on Offense. So might as well throw some money at the one skills position talent we do have.

Rams extend RB Kyren Williams - 3-year, $33 million
PoundingDog replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
The bold part is the key. And Beane alluded to it. I read some where that Matthew Leist (actually a Syracuse grad), representing James Cook, represented his brother as well and no one else (up to a year ago) and orchestrated a successful hold out for Dalvin James against the Vikings. Who knows maybe this guys wants to show the world he can get "you a contract above the market value." -
Rams extend RB Kyren Williams - 3-year, $33 million
HappyDays replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's been my stance all along. In a vacuum I don't like the idea of giving a big multi-year extension to a RB. But the opportunity cost just isn't that bad for us. If for example we had traded for DK Metcalf and extended him I would have accepted losing Cook as a necessary consequence. Since this regime clearly just isn't going to go that route... I'm left wanting to make sure we at least have some manner of explosive offense and easy button TDs, because like last year I don't expect the on schedule passing game to be a consistent source of those plays. It's mostly going to be Allen improvisation and Cook explosive runs. I accept that Cook is not a down in down out back like Kyren Williams but I actually value his skill set more for this team the way it is currently constructed. -
I apologize if this is a silly question but we won't be able to watch until 930 or so tonight. Can we stream the whole show then? New to HBO Max

DOGE Big Balls Assaulted in DC
JDHillFan replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Speaking of big balls, your posts consistently suck them. For years on end. This one is the sole exception. Absolutely brilliant and inspired. Thank you. -
Entourage is my favorite. Game of thrones I tried watching I can’t get into it.

Go to Max My Sooner friend. Then just a quick search on Hard Knocks and it comes up immediately. You can’t go wrong see the trailer. It’s pretty nice for a promo. It won’t fully air until 9pm. I mentioned on another thread, I’ll watch tomorrow morning at 5 am, before I get ready for the gym. I try to always be on the gym floor at 6:30, so I get 45 minutes in the am to make my beautiful wife breakfast and coffee.

Lets hope James' agent takes his foot off the pedal here after this contract announcement. Equal value but different players If he wants more money? Then hang on and prove it again this year. If he wants to be reasonable ? Ask for guaranteed monies and a shorter contract and agin Prove it to the League. Then he will get paid either way -
No Game of Thrones?

I had to go to the APPS button on my smart TV and download MAX (my smart tv is kinda old). I think ROKU has something similar.
