Why didnt players who were exempt bc they were grandfathered in to the NHLs helmet rule wear helmets? Athletes do what works for them. Maybe a trend will start, but until then its the exception rather than the rule to take extra steps for safety. We have a helmet law while riding motorcycles in NYS. South Carolina doesnt. We think it's nuts to ride without. Guess how most people in SC roll? Hell, even as a kid when the major push for kids to wear bike helmets started to occur in the 90s - most didnt. Future generations did, just as now it seems absurd to play hockey w/out a helmet and most kids wouldn't dream of it. Itd seemingly be an odd rule to implement, but until it does, until peoole have to (like Josh choosing to wear a visor for protection) they wont. It is what it is.. but it deff is.

You know what? I still hate the New England Patriots.

Interesting. I agree. I think blitzing is becoming part of the defense, rather than something to do when the four aren't getting home. Making the defense more varied. Plus whatever they were doing with White is another example.

I have a hard time believing that he didn’t completely tear his ACL, and I also have a hard time believing that the surgery he just had was to repair an ACL. They want all the swelling down, and range of motion restored before doing that surgery— three weeks would be rushing it. Two days would be very unlikely, it seems to me. But I’m no doctor. But why make up a story? It doesn’t seem like they’re being straight.

3rd round draft pick snap counts

This is exactly it. Edge players coming to our system expecting to rush the passer have to learn that we don’t do that here. We have a very sophisticated system that requires a heavy rotation and is poor at both stopping the run and rushing the passer. I kid, I kid -

How long ago did your puppy get thrown out of the bar? I really haven't been to Holiday valley in a decade since I had season passes.. how long is the bar restaurant been closed -
In his prime he was as electric on the field as he was horrible off it. A uniquely explosive player. Not sure there's been anyone like him before or since. He was a treat to watch as long as it wasn't against the Bills.

NOW is Bobby Babich's seat hot?

He's running McDermott's scheme, not sure why Sean just doesn't hire a DC that he knows through the ranks somewhere, is it ego driven or does he really think this scheme works? Either way I've stated it needed to change and you just get the eyeoll and puke emoji's when you try and have a legit conversation about it. -
I feel awful for our punter, this was the third time in a year he's been wrecked and two of them were season ending type injuries. Tasker mentioned today that there are certain snaps where the rushers will go all out and not care if they get a penalty depending on field position, circumstances like score etc. I'm surprised these punters don't take better precautions and wear knee braces and at least tape the crap out of their non-kicking ankle. Would this really affect their kicking ability? It sure would give them better job security.....

NOW is Bobby Babich's seat hot?
Buffalo Ballin replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall
People will forget the reasons. Results are the only things that matter. Thanks for the essay though. Without MVP Josh Allen, emerging star RB James Cook, and our amazing o-line, we're no where near 4-0. LABillBacker said it best, "31st (almost 32nd) in run defense is a complete embarrassment." -
3rd round draft pick snap counts

Why on earth would you only look at the top 19? Are we purposely trying to avoid seeing what other competent teams are doing? Regardless, we brought in a lot of competition for our dl. -
Shakir, Davis, Benjamin, Funchess, and Coleman are the most effective WR's Beane has drafted in his career. Not exactly a group to write home about. Shakir is the best of the lot, but one thing is clear, outside of Shakir, he likes them big and slow. Maybe he calls it "physical". Good thing he's better at drafting on defense.

I don’t like the argument that we’re such an “extremely deep playoff team” that cracking the lineup is an arduous task for a high pick. It’s not like the players ahead of those high picks are all pro talents. If the rookies could play, or more accurately, if the coaches believed Landon or anyone else in his rookie class was ready to play, that player would be on the field - either in a rotation, or ahead of some average to below average NFL players.

3rd round draft pick snap counts
NeverOutNick replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
We’re such a good FO with our late round picks. It’s actually very impressive and also maddening because they SUCK (outside of cook) in the 2nd/3rd round. I wish they’d just get playmakers early. Trading up was fine but what if you did it for Luther Burden to help Josh out instead of another who cares DT, 2 years in a row Carter over Troy Franklin and Sanders over Burden. I honestly believe it’s only because we have a defensive HC that we keep going to this well early in the draft while neglecting the WR position by just throwing cash at scrubs who haven’t done anything in league like Samuel and Palmer. -

I think AJ is a decent player. Maybe not championship starting D-line calibar, but he is a rotational D for most teams. If Jackson can be that as a cost controlled asset for a few years, I dont have any issues with the pick. If I judge the players I wanted who were available but not selected over Jackson: Jaylin Noel - 3 catches for 9 yards this year Xavier Watts - 17 tackles, 2 interceptions Watts has played well, but I dont know that he would have started over Rapp or Bishop. Noel has been a nothing-burger so far. Fingers crossed on Jackson, but even if he doesn't pan out, the picks of Walker/Strong/Hawes have shown to be solid enough for me to forgive his selection.
